The production has the same "finish" as Luther V's early stuff. Kicking bass line with the the final remnants of 70s disco, R&B, big band swing and hard bop elements. NIIIICE...
I loved her voice and I sure played the hell out of Dr. Buzzard. I don't know if I ever heard this album when I was a kid. I want to like these songs, but they just do seem to have the pop and dazzle. I'll listen to all that are available here, but this doesn't bode well so far
