I rode the 2019 V4 Panigale and loved it but only for short periods, it certainly looks like Ducati have remedied this with the Streetfighter, a real dream machine.
That's a machine that I loved from concept to execution but have not yet had the experience of riding it. This year, I will set that right. Killer machine. No way to debate it.
Wow Mr. Fly, a mouthwatering speedy review of a stunning Ducati. It looks better on film than on the website. Great to hear it clicking through the gears and especially on those beautiful sun lit roads. Just wow! What biker wouldn’t like to be there blasting it on. Looking forward to seeing the negatives and positives review when it’s loaded. Thanks for loading the film on a cold damp January!! 👍🙏
That was a really great video. I'm Scottish and it's nice to hear a streetfighter video that hasn't got an American accent. Only thing you may find lacking is usable range as the fuel light comes on somewhere around 85 miles. 😂 Also you commented on heated grips: the button is there yes but they must be fitted as an option. Also the aftermarket akra exhaust is ridiculously expensive but the sound it makes afterwards is pretty awesome! All things considered, it is simply an amazing ride! nobody tests such bikes with cold and wet conditions because it makes no sense, yea it can do that has electronic safety controls and stuff and the v4 engine is quite docile, but why would you use this during winter. Buy a little scooter for that
I hate keyless ignitions, more so on bikes. What a bike, I can't wait to see how it compares to the new 1200 Triumph Speed Triple. I am tempted by this, but the Triumph has my heart first.
Ah, the old A413, takes me back to my old commute. Lovely road if you time it right but scene of many hedgerow visits each spring when the summer bikers come out of hibernation
Great first ride review. I’m looking at the street fighter and the KTM duke but nearly £20k is a lot of money, I’ve heard rumours of a V2 street fighter. If that was price around £13k I think it would sell really well.
Andy.. really enjoyed the vid.. you commentary is excellent... agree with you Ducati has an awesome enjoy.... Question: Can you do a review of 500-650cc adventure bikes??
Thanks Andy for another informative video. Being old school to me the Ducati was a big thumping twin, but I know the times have changed and the Ducati has grown two extra pots and lost the thump. This one seems quite zippy, but I don’t like the idea of the Speedo fuzzing out when you give it a fist full lolol. Thanks again from Down Under 😎😎🐝
On my GS I find keyless quite convenient. Mainly because I have to carry so many keys for the bike; namely 1 BMW (to release BMW sat nav when parked), 2 Givi key for top box (too mean to buy BMW item), 3 Litelok, 4.Disc lock. So without keyless I’d have this lot banging about in front of me. What do others do?
Looks like an awesome bit of kit! I always find myself conflicted though with hyper nakeds having so much power and speed available but with no fairings. Still, I always love the fact we have these choices as I don’t think it will always be this way. The number plate holder though, ouch!
Come on Mr Flyer.... you need a few hours in the saddle to find out how comfortable a bike is surely. Another awesome, rich persons plaything, that has no practical use on the road or indeed the track for most of us. Are you going to buy one for the TMF man cave ?.... Thought not. Keep up the good work love your videos. On a personal note, having owned Gixxers, S1000R, Tuono V4 Factory, Africa Twin etc. etc. The only bike I've ever kept for more than 18 months is my 3 YO Street Triple 765 RS, I still love this bike, for me it does so many things so well, also loving my Zero SR/S the most practical bike I've ever owned and a scream to ride.
Awesome video mate. I’d have the street fighter just for the V4 and seating position. I’m a sucker for the V4s , currently have a crossrunner and the engine is just magic ....

Looking for a bike to compliment my 2014 R1200GS and I think this one might fit the bill! I've heard the Street Fighter V4 with the Akropovic full exhaust and found it to be positively evil sounding! Thanks for another great review.
I ordered one of these but then changed my order when I saw a red Diavel 1260s next to it. The Diavel has a fuel gauge, cruise control and the lovely sounding V2 engine plus its power is all low-down, ideal for street use. Maybe a Diavel review next time?
@@ashleyreynolds6604 I'm aware of Andy having ridden the old Diavel while on holiday in California back in 2015 but, the new Diavel is almost a completely different bike to that one.
Cool looking bike, it could do with a fly screen / cowl to cover the back of the tft / clocks although that would possibly spoil the aggressive looks. £20k and no fuel gauge, hmm..... Thanks again TMF.
Preference for this type of riding position is just sign if what the body wants now, sadly. Welcome to the club of middle age. It's actually quite good. Happy travels
@@TheMissendenFlyer I was not having a go at your riding or anything like that, I was merely wondering about the usability of bikes like this on normal roads at normal speeds, IMHO there are so many bikes nowadays that are simply too fast and powerful for everyday use.
I’ve been looking forward to your review on this Andy , this mainly being because I can’t keep going out on salted roads and keep washing mine which I got in December (not a great time to buy a bike) I totally agree with you on the looks I didn’t like it at first, it bugs the life out of me that it hasn’t got cruise control, I can live with the fact it hasn’t got a fuel gauge, but, whilst running in I’ve seen 85 miles to reserve 😳 . I love it though, it’s a great bike .
Keyless ignition would keep the key and key chain from leaving scratches all over that area of the bike/tank. That's about the biggest benefit I can see with that tech/feature/capability. Might be a little more secure as far as theft deterrence, too.
Ooof hefty price there but a lot of bike liking this one Andy the damper looks like an after thought maybe but a small thing i think your gonna have a lot of fun with this beast . : )
great video 👍 I've ordered the V4 sp but watch a lot of the review I hope the V4Sp is as good as the street fighter See you use the Gopro 8 with the media pod what mic do you use sounds really good
To me this is waaay better than the Diavel - but that said I've not ridden the latest one, just the previous version and the XDiavel (which I didn't get on with at all)....
Was able to test ride this bike's US brother, and fell in love with it but, no cruise control, fuel mileage was horrible and the price tag was a bit much. I ended up with the KTM 1290 Super Adventure S. And sadly to say...I haven't been able to ride it yet, due to the Northern Idaho winter.
I love naked bikes and was very excited when I heard Ducati were making the Streetfighter but the Panigale V4 S is, in my opinion, one of the nicest looking bikes out there. One of each would be nice! 🤣
The tft display looks to have some glitches, it gets blurry at higher speeds. You better have Ducati take a look at it.🤣 Bedtime in the USA. Goodnight or morning to all.
I have a 2021 Dark Stealth S.F. with Akra upgrade and MAP, tidy tail. radiator guards , Cluster fearing and gas tank guard. BIGGEST complaint, gas consumption. O well, if you want too play , you got too pay. The bike react differently in race mode, WAY more aggressive. Only 800 miles, NOT broken it, so I'm taking it easy until I get over 1,000 miles. EXTREMELY comfortable compared to my 2017 Panigale 1299S. Ride safe and enjoy ..
Interesting, when I'm edging closer to a new bike I always go back to your old reviews, enticing indeed! Jip, I'm in the exact same spot on that XR you're in on this Streetfighter. I found the XR's seat rather comfortable, maybe since I have sufficient padding built into my behind :-). I just like it in the HP colours and there are currently none available with the chaos going on down here and now our port inventory system also having been the target of a hack making offloading or loading a ship impossible. Grey is however easy to find, at a very good price. Since a R1200GSA holds its value to well, I wouldn't have to pay in too much on a demo XR if I traded my 2015 in, but I just can't seem to bring myself to do that, I love that bike. What's keeping you from trading in your Ducati and Street triple on one of these if I may ask, not that I want to edge you on to anything I'm battling with myself?
What I wouldn't give for a summers day and a V4S Streetfighter for the day ATM 😥 Great first ride review sir 👍

I quite like the wings - but then I'm a tart like that.....
well, you can easily remove those wings and get some kind of plugs, but idk, i really love them, especially carbon fiber ones
@@rem-re7sc probably best as an option, might make the bike a little! cheaper.
I think Andy may have reviewed one already 🤔
I've ridden the XDiavel, not the new standard Diavel....
@@ashleyreynolds6604 I'm aware of Andy having ridden the old Diavel while on holiday in California back in 2015 but, the new Diavel is almost a completely different bike to that one.
Lovely video and you can understand why I have one in my garage 😀
I certainly can Raj - as much as I liked that big trumpet, this Ducati makes waay more sense.....
Indeed....good to hear from you again TT!
Great review as always, am I right in thinking that you need to be doing 80+MPH before engaging 6th gear?
I'm sure you could engage it sooner but your point is well and truly made....
@@TheMissendenFlyer I was not having a go at your riding or anything like that, I was merely wondering about the usability of bikes like this on normal roads at normal speeds, IMHO there are so many bikes nowadays that are simply too fast and powerful for everyday use.
Hey there Sonny! My next birthday will be 70. Let's grab a couple of those and head for the track?
I’ve been looking forward to your review on this Andy , this mainly being because I can’t keep going out on salted roads and keep washing mine which I got in December (not a great time to buy a bike) I totally agree with you on the looks I didn’t like it at first, it bugs the life out of me that it hasn’t got cruise control, I can live with the fact it hasn’t got a fuel gauge, but, whilst running in I’ve seen 85 miles to reserve 😳 . I love it though, it’s a great bike .
Crikey!!
great video 👍 I've ordered the V4 sp but watch a lot of the review I hope the V4Sp is as good as the street fighter
See you use the Gopro 8 with the media pod what mic do you use sounds really good
Just an eBay lavalier mic, only a cheapo...
@@TheMissendenFlyer wow its so clear there no wind noise that the mic or you editing skills 😂
You have reviewed just about every Ducati in some form but one I think is conspicuously absent. Would love to see you on a Hypermotard.
I'm just not a big fan of supermotos, don't know why, just don't do it for me.....I'm possibly missing out and should give one a go...
I really like that idea you talk about making a v2 version it would be cool if they make it less money more fun 👍
Wouldn't it just....
What a lovely bike......tempted!
You and me both!
Nice review , as always 😀💪
Thanks! 👍
Thoughts on this compared to a Diavel for normal street riding? If they come out with a V2 street fighter, It might be a tough decision.
To me this is waaay better than the Diavel - but that said I've not ridden the latest one, just the previous version and the XDiavel (which I didn't get on with at all)....
Me too didn't like the look at first Andy. but now love it awesome looking 👹
Yes, it's actually a thing of great beauty after all!
Another great video. Would you think about selling your Ducati and Street Triple R to get yourself one?
Possibly! ...but not the Panigale!
I’m jealous! 1290 looks badass
I share your pain Mike....I have a nearly new Goldwing sitting in the garage!
I love naked bikes and was very excited when I heard Ducati were making the Streetfighter but the Panigale V4 S is, in my opinion, one of the nicest looking bikes out there. One of each would be nice! 🤣
I agree!
The tft display looks to have some glitches, it gets blurry at higher speeds. You better have Ducati take a look at it.🤣 Bedtime in the USA. Goodnight or morning to all.
😆 🤣 😂
I have a 2021 Dark Stealth S.F. with Akra upgrade and MAP, tidy tail. radiator guards , Cluster fearing and gas tank guard. BIGGEST complaint, gas consumption. O well, if you want too play , you got too pay. The bike react differently in race mode, WAY more aggressive. Only 800 miles, NOT broken it, so I'm taking it easy until I get over 1,000 miles. EXTREMELY comfortable compared to my 2017 Panigale 1299S. Ride safe and enjoy ..
Glad to hear you're getting on well with it - seriously nice machine....
I already have a GS! That plus all my bikes servedifferent purposes....trade a Panigale for a GS makes little sense to me!
@@TheMissendenFlyer Thank you, was however enquiring more on the Streetfighter as as option than a GS since I know you already have one 😊
Lovely looking bike Tmf your very lucky and all the bikes in garage. thanks from danny
I like to think of myself as fortunate rather than lucky.....
