Man, I am so excited for this one! The savage, the brute, the legendary Viper ACR. It’s broken 13 world records, it’s put million dollar cars to shame, it has redefined the American Supercar is. All this with a base price of $118,000. And guess what happened? They sat around on showrooms. That’s right, it wasn’t a fiasco like when a new Porsche or Ferrari is released, nahhhhhh. The most dominant car released at its time, with no markup, and people just blew it off. But that wouldnt be for long.
As the Viper ACR continued to make it’s rounds from race track to race track, comfortably destroying prior records held by any manufacturer, the enthusiasts started to wake up. We started getting more and more calls about leasing a Viper, but availability was dwindling down fast as the Viper was nearing the end of production. Even the hardcore track guys woke up and realized its the most track capable machine you can buy for under $150k, BAR NONE. Between the full blown racing suspension, fully adjustable Extreme Aero Package pushing 1900lbs of downforce, and the 8.4L Naturally Aspirated V10 engine, there are not many track toys out there that can touch a Viper ACR.
Five years later, Viper ACR now sits at about $300,000 for a clean, low mile examples. I believe this car will be half a mil sooner than we can imagine.

Yea they are absolutely gorgeous. One of the meanest, craziest cars to see on the road. So glad Dodge pushed for an ACR before the Viper was discontinued.

Spot on. I’m a Chevy man, not into Dodge but ACR is a real man’s car. Raw to the bone street race car. This car for sure will be a million dollar baby in 20 years. When ever I see an ACR, I give it a big salute to American made brute.
I love it man! We all have certain brand loyalties, but as enthusiasts, some cars transcend their brands and stand on the own. The Viper ACR is definitely one of those 🚀🤠
Nice Video. I see a Ferrari F12 in town often and it looks killer, like an Italian Viper. The F12 is almost as good looking as the Viper. On the track, different story
You are spot on with everything you said! I bought my Gen 5 Viper about 2 years ago and the cabin does get extra hot and the sound system isn't the best but I wanted the rawest thing out there and I got it. I used to have a C7 and it was too refined.
I appreciate that! The Viper is such a special car, especially the Gen 5. I owned a 2014 for a year or so until my service manager crashed it. I got lucky and found one of the last 2016 Viper Time Attack T/A 2.0 for a bit as well but never ended up getting an ACR. Actually, the 18 speaker system is awesome, the car in this video probably has the standard 3 speaker system because it’s a purpose built race car. And it doesn’t get that hot, and if so that’s what the AC is for.
Laguna Seca lap times as an example of rarified air this crazy beast roams.
Everything that’s faster is far more expensive and has turbos. Even with that said, it’s beaten multi million dollar cars as well. Nasty beast that will appreciate accordingly.

Thank you for the lap times and prices, really puts the Viper ACR into prospective. Amazing what they achieved and I'm hoping the good ol SRT team behind the ACR, Rubicon 392, etc are already working on a next gen lineup. While everyone is focused on hybrid and EV, Mopar seems like they have developed a solid Inline 6 ice engine.

However , it won't depreciate as much as other vehicles
I'd say Dodge Viper ACR is worth approximately $190k ~ 220k
Yea the bubble will affect it but the ACR was holding strong pre-bubble as well. But money aside, what the Viper ACR did was just incredible for it's time and so, so under appreciated.

I have a 2017 ACR-E Carbon package and I love this car. Fun fact... the wing is 1776mm wide... the year the US gained it's independence was 1776, talk about an all American product!! It also feels like your driving in the ass of an angry bear, but damn is it fun!!

I have a Gen 5 ACR love it! Got rid of most of the cabin heat and drowning in the cabin by simply replacing the factory CATS with high-flow CATS. That simple change also improved the engine sound and added some power.
