Got to remember in open platform you’re outside more so you get snow bird rates. During the winter you get good paying loads coming out of the south east headed north and cheaper loads headed back south due to trying to get out of the weather and the exact opposite in the summer. That’s what I’ve found anyway, seem to make the most when you’re willing to deal with the weather most people aren’t.

My company pays me percentage which means I make 3-400 a day. So flatbed market is good at least with steel. There is a sweet little circuit in this region.
Yes, I went with Triumph because they’ve been around since 2002 or so. And they are owned by a public trading bank. So less risk dealing with a company with high accountability. Less shady practices

You can stay in AL and MS for a week save money on fuel and make great money. Make sure you check your truck everyday DOT will tear you off the bone.
