Cheers Aimee. You have a wonderful way of ‘humanzing’ golf versus some of the more robotic methods some other instructors pitch to us. Great job and very much appreciated. Respect to you.
I follow many RUclips golf instructors but I have discovered your explanations/demonstrations are excellent and easy for me to grasp and comprehend. Thank you so much.👍
I am a begginer golfer i enjoy waching Aimee before i go golphing. I have had new grips put on my clubs this will be the first day to golf with them i will let you know how it goes..... i really like how Aimee ....Aimeefyis it for (everyone) ME Thanks Aimee 😀
Great lesson, Aimee. Two key elements to hitting longer irons, especially for seniors, is the length of turn to the right and the wrist cock. After age 50-55, we think we’re still turning as much as we did when we were younger, but many of us begin feeling the effects of pounding those iron sticks into the ground in our backs. We slowly turn a little less each year. It’s very important for seniors to maintain a stretching regimen. Daily, with or without golf, is best, but critical before any round. A full turn and wrist set make for better contact.
just catching this video on irons. Been struggling to be consistent, gain accuracy and distance. Just did this drill in backyard with small baggie of sand (didn't have play doh) and I can really feel the difference in my contact and weight shift. Love your videos, I really connect with them! Thanks for all the tips Aimee.
Thank you Aimee! Excellent visualization technique. I love your videos because of the practical way you describe and give examples of some of the more common problems you see with your clients. I see myself in many of those examples lol. I wish I was local to your area to take advantage of your coaching services. Your videos are complete. I mean in the sense that they don't give only half of the solution and then direct the viewer to pay for a subscription to learn the rest of the lesson. Great Job! keep it up!
Very descriptive Aimee. Your instruction by execution of the drill...really helped me to understand the concept. Now to try it today on the range. Thank you. Enjoy your videos.
Excellent. I tried this today and nailed my irons. Thanks for your lessons Aimie. I also now use your pre routine and now my setup is much more relaxed.
Hi Aimee Loved the tutorial. Makes a lot of sense. Thank you. Any chance you could do a video on creating the right shots when the ball is on different gradients - the ball above or below your feet is when I fluff my shots 99% of the time. Thanks in advance 😊
Many thank, you are the most effective tutor for golf on You Tube. Could you comment on the iron swing for older golfers with a less flexible back. Thank you. Tony
Aimee, just started watching the first few of your lessons and find them very helpful and entertaining. My question is if I attempt to swing six inches in front of the ball I think I would swing over it and miss it? Also, it seems difficult to focus on the ball and also focus on 6 inches in front of it at the same time. I would appreciate your comments. Thank you!
Aimee thanks for great videos, do you have one on fade or draw irons and woods? I just wanted to add to this comment I used your throwing the Play doh on the course this morning now whether it’s the new ping blueprint irons but that little tip was phenomenal I’ve never hit 16 greens in regulation the strike was so pure I was hitting irons so far that’s why I missed two thank you
I enjoy your videos, however I am still struggling with hitting with any of my irons. I don't think I understand how to hold the club and how the club face should look. Can you help me with this?
I use a Speeder EVOLUTION HV330, which is built specifically for Majesty Golf. In stiff flex! You can get faster reply from me if you ask me at my website's Ask Aimee section! mpswing.com/gnu/bbs/board.php?bo_table=ask_admin Thanks guys! Happy golfing!
@golfwithaimee Earlier this evening I saw your great video on long irons. I'm a little confused about the image/ feeling that you created there about 'brushing' the ground and the 'steep angle of attack' here. Can you please reconcile these two?
I finally learned a few weeks ago to start trying to hit the ball first, instead of skim the ground first. Hearing you say to aim 6" in front of the ball, I think, will really help me in this regard. Can't wait to test it out! Also, will you marry me? Awesome, thanks! :P
Have been trying to get my swing back. Was at the range yesterday. Hit some 75-80 balls. With P-9-7, I thought I have nailed it sweet. Then I shifted to 4 (wasn't carrying 6&5) and it was horror show; mostly slicing, but a few low hooks as well. Tried 19° hybrid/rescue and that wasn't as bad at all, although wasn't getting the distance I should. Came back to 4, tweaked (or rather focused on) my grip and back swing. Shots improved, but still there was an unwanted late fade. What gives?
I already hit my irons high(generally) but have lost considerable distance and consequentially am struggling with "very" inconsistent distances which ruin my total score results...
Hi Aimee, I find this method have small margin for error. I hit more behind the ball i.e. fat shot 😣, sometimes skull down on the golf ball. How to make this easier?
Just think about pushing down on the golf swing hard your trail hand; everything else will occur naturally. The golf swing is simply pushing up with the lead hand and pushing down harder with the trail hand. It's a matter of physics in a true golf swing the lead side pushes first followed by the trail side pushing second.
Hi! Thanks for your question! That is true, but this lesson is for those who are struggling to get the ball in the air. The down blow angle of attack is a must for your iron shots!
Hi Hung, this applies for those golfers who don't get enough height and distance on their irons. So what you mentioned could be right depending on your swing and tendencies!
Hi aimee, i tried this drill and most of the time i skull the ball or hit hard into the carpet, then my club bounce off violently. Very hurting my hands and elbows. What went wrong?
Hi! It sounds like you might have used too much of just the arms, not enough body. Also I don't particularly recommend practicing off the mats, if possible. I talked about practicing off mats can cause injuries in thhis video: ruclips.net/video/WyMDTKU5eAA/видео.html Thanks! Please let me know if you have more questions.
By far the best golf instructor on the internet. Great job Aimee!

Excellent teacher !
More gems Aimee, thanks.
Aimee, does your head position stay where the ball is or is it shifting to where you want the club to hit the ground 6 “ in front of the ball
Aimee thanks for great videos, do you have one on fade or draw irons and woods?

Great help - thanks
Great Lesson, practice for sure
Can you explained club head release. Thank you!
Thanks a lot Aimee
this is a true technique, and can be applicable to other sports too.
I enjoy your videos, however I am still struggling with hitting with any of my irons. I don't think I understand how to hold the club and how the club face should look. Can you help me with this?
this was amazing for me as a teacher
Thanks!
I notice that I sometimes keep my core locked and that prevents a good shoulder turn. The belly button should move.
What kind of iron shaft you are using Aimee? Good lesson.
Simon Cheung two years later and we still don't have an answer! 😂

I'm magic. I got Aimee to answer a question asked 2 years ago 😂
You explain things so simple a great gift, by the way where do you teach is it in the United States?
@golfwithaimee

Thank you Amy, love your instruction. How about some hybrid lesson next time, how to properly hit/address hybrid. Thanks!
Thank you, Aimee....
Good lesson
thank you. trips for hitting the ball high and long

The problem is that I don't have the beautiful swing you have Aimee!!

Can it be apply to driver ?

My ball flight is a bit high for my liking. How do I being it down?
I try to pinch my club behind the ball. Seems to help get it up and prevent duffs

LOL gotta love her
Excellent lesson!
So you're not focused on the hitting the ball at all, but 6 inches ahead?
Hi Amy, I thought u were supposed to come shallow into the ball???
Hi! Thanks for your question!
That is true, but this lesson is for those who are struggling to get the ball in the air.
The down blow angle of attack is a must for your iron shots!
your swing is great
Nice..
AMEEEEFY IT!
Their is nothing like a perfect divot
Yay
Ameefy it! Yay
I dont understand why I would want to aim 6" in front of the ball...wouldn't this just make me hit a lot of " fat " shots?...thanks
Play dough must end up on right of ball to ensure you're coming inside out.
Aimee-fy!
I thought it was all about shallowing the club. I'm so confused now 😂
Awwwe she's lovely.... So cute
Can you give me lessons please
in regards to steeper angle, I thought it supposed to be less steep. Everyone kept saying shallow the swing...
Hi Hung, this applies for those golfers who don't get enough height and distance on their irons.
