Here's Saro Babikian performing "Maria Luisa", a favorite Valse Venezolano by Antonio Lauro on a fantastic 2020 Stephen Hill classical guitar with spruce top and highly figured ziricote back and sides. Recorded at the Guitar Salon International showroom in Santa Monica, CA.

This piece takes me back to when I had to sit for my A.T.C.L guitar recital by correspondence through trinity school of music. There was never a more nervous moment in all my life than sitting in front of an examiner. I was a ball of nerves and my nerves overcame me especially after I heard the skill level of the young Asian boy who played before myself. He was brilliant just like this man here. I was 17 the boy was 11. I was so dismayed after he played I blew my entire recital and only ended scoring a 29 out of 100. Sir you are truly gifted and I loved listening to you play.

Honestly i was listen to John Williams' version of this song and i came right back to this recording, there is no sense of hesitation, and the phrasing are all perfect.

En la segunda parte de este vals hay una corrección de una nota en la melodía, creo que tres o cuatro compases antes del final de esta parte el arpegio es: La bajo al aire, Fa sostenido y re en la cuarta y segunda cuerda respectivamente en acorde, y la nota Si en el 7mo traste (por error tipográfico escribieron La) esta nota Si, es negra con puntillo, lo demás sigue igual. Esta corrección fue hecha por el mismo maestro Antonio Lauro. Lamentablemente, la partitura salió al mundo con este error y así es tocada, pero valga esto para hacer la corrección o salvedad.
