@@mikerusznak I don’t tow at the moment but it’s good to know I have the capability for a small utility trailer for short distance. PDK is not so recommended for towing. Right now I’m using it for my 2 e-bike hitch rack.
I own a 2023 Macan GTS. I recently drove a loaner from our Porsche dealer. It was a base Cayene and it is much higher off of the ground and drives like it. It was a pleasant car to drive but there is a chasm of difference between the two vehicles. My wife expresses it well, the GTS “it is a sports car with a hatchback.” I love my Macan GTS for every minute that that I drive.
Although Macan GTS needs another refresh with more modern features, it is sportier and much closer to reflect Porsche heritage than the latest Cayenne. It has the traditional key fob on the left with mechanical instruments panel and traditional mechanical shifter.
Very good points. I really prefer driving the Macan GTS but we have two 45lb aussies that come everywhere with us. I don't like having the back seats folded down to carry them so we ended up with a Cayenne S. Nice vehicle, but I would never call it nimble after driving a Macan. Our next will probably be a GTS Cayenne. Agree with you on the red. Guards Red in particular, but the Carmine is a nice color as well. Thanks for the video!
Love my GTS….optioned out and loaded. It’s like my 911 on stilts. Handles wonderfully for a daily and having a back seat and lift gate is great. I drive it in manual all the time with sport settings. My wife has the Audi SQ5. No comparison related to handling and feel.
Give me a brake who drives a suv as a race car. Porsche has several cars to drive like a racer. While the driver may want to enjoy the high speed drive. The passengers are not so enamored with the ride. Plus the vast majority of the SUV’s are city street cars and you can only get tickets for the power you have.
I’m torn between the new Cayenne GTS and Audi RSQ8 performance I’ve loved my cayennes in past but for same price in Audi I get 140 hp more and carbon ceramics standard.
OK, in fairness, the reason you sell more of these than anything else is because there is a supply issue; Porsche makes the 911 hard to get and they make the SUVs easy to get.
also most people are looking for cars they can use daily. theres probably more guys with families shopping at Porsche than rich single guys looking for a daily.
It isn’t a supply issue, it is a practicality issue. A Macan is a highly practical vehicle. A 911 is not. Unless you are looking for a Porsche GT vehicle, a 911 is a pretty sure thing if you want one. You might just need to wait for an allocation
@ I have both. The Macan GTS is the best car I’ve ever had; it is my wife. My 911 Targa is my girlfriend. There are some things that only my girlfriend can do…
Let’s cut the bs. You are buying an Audi in drag. Both motors are absolute nightmares. The 4 liter and 2.9 are nothing but plastic fantastic and the prolific use of Audi engines will absolutely destroy the reliability.
This channel is badass.
Thanks for the encouragement 👊🏼
I love my ICE Porsche Macan Turbo! Feels more like a sports car than a SUV!!!
👍🏼💯
After 3 months of research I found a 2024 Macan GTS in chalk. I have factory hitch, it’s 2in and towing capacity is 4400lbs. Love it.
Thank you for clarifying towing capacity. Curious what do you tow?

New owner of a 2025 Cayenne GTS (also Carmine red), appreciate the review and comparison. Nothing like the sound of a V8.
Smiles for miles. 👊🏼

💯👍🏼 your wife gets it.
My wife does get it!! She drives a 2022, Miami Blue, Macan S.
Be well

I’m sure the dogs appreciate the space. 👍🏼 is it a 24 S?
@ Actually a ‘20 with the V6. With Covid I just have not put many miles on it. :-)
They need a Macan GT3 🤙🏽😛
Ha! 9000rpm in a Macan would be awesome 👍🏼

👍🏼 Macan or Cayenne?
Thank you for answering the question I was always wondering. :)
Glad it was helpful! 👍🏼
T Macan as a city daily, any Cayenne as a touring
Another great comparison, both awesome choices, but I think I prefer the Macan
I can’t drive a Macan GTS without smiling 👍🏼
I still keep my cayenne diesel. Been reliable for 12 years.

Why are you here?
OMG I wanted to watch the entire video but the movement of your hat camera made me nauseous. 🤢
Thanks for the input. I’ll try to mount it somewhere
I want that jacket! It's sexy!

Yeah, that’s a tough choice. Have you driven both?
With that logic definitely get rsq8
Fix your camera
Thanks for the feedback. Specifically what about the camera?

What is wrong with the macan gts 2.9 engine?
Nothing actually and its very reliable @Rumblingbelly
