Mike, next time you open the hood, keep pushing it up. It will go all the way up to 90⁰ so that the tech can access the engine easier. Also, to open the rear glass just walk up to the rear and put your foot underneath the license plate back to front once and it'll open. Cheers.

I have a GTS 4.0 on order at the moment and hearing the sound in this video was priceless. I debated back and forth between saving funds and going 2.0 or 2.5L but figured for the time being i see what a Porsche NA engine is all about. All trims are great choices just depends on the type of driving you like and environment to get the most out of it. Great video!

There is no such a thing as perfect 911 that’s why there are so many variations to suit the end users’ tastes. My humble opinion btw.

You don't really need to have the alcantara changed. Brush it once a month and it looks new. Simple brush and any leather/fabric cleaner/foam. Can't beat the hand feel.

What a beautiful spec! 😍 For me, getting this 911 Carrera 4S is like having a Turbo S but more affordable... I mean, it may not be as powerful but nonetheless just as special if you ask me. Of course, that aluminum strip on windows is a great addition which for me accentuates the contour of a 911. ❤

I too have a 991.2 C4S bought new in 2018 w/Sports exhaust, Rear Wheel Steering & the Chrono sports package & really can't imagine a better ride. Fast, precise, so much fun to drive even if it's only to the grocery store but on an open highway, it's sublime. Gripping the road at high speeds is very reassuring. Stops on a dime. Pretty bulletproof too. It's all you really need as far as speed goes as anything any faster is just overkill. I drove the windowmaker back in the eighties & this is faster & safer. Can't get much better than that for a resume.

When I had the opportunity to drive a 992.1 series for the first time, it was a Carrera 4S. It was at my disposal in mid October 2021 for about 3 hours and I drove it mainly on mountainous twisties near where I live. I hadn’t driven a 911 since my 997 4GTS, and was both impressed (the general excellency of this new car) and shocked by its size compared to a 997. Anyway, I just said to myself, As usual the Porsche guys know what they are doing. Long story short, for reasons which I won’t get into now, I ended up ordering a 992.1 4GTS which I currently drive and find absolutely awesome. In some respects it is too powerful for road use in as much as one is not allowed to drive at whatever speeds one wishes. Which joins your point : a Carrera S or 4S is all you need. But then there are those who say a base Carrera is all you need (a Carrera T with the 6 speed manual being the best choice of them all). So, whichever 911 you choose, as long as it’s in sound condition, you simply can’t go wrong !😎

I’ve always thought the 911 sweet spot is The Carrera 4s. I live in the Northeast and it provides the best of all worlds until the GTS 4. The past 2 generations have just blown the price point way over my originally priced $124k max price point. It’s still a 911 any day for me though. I concur 👍🏽

Have a GTS 4.0 (Manual) here in Australia. It's Epic even just driving to the shops but on a remote country mountain road it really comes into its own as a truely drivers car and its quick point to point. The manual adds to the charisma of the occasion. Have previously owned a 981s (PDK) and a 986s (Manual). All great in their own way.

The perfect 911 equals the one currently parked in one’s garage. In my case that equals a manual 997.2 C2 and a manual 992.1 C2S.

Any 911 other than a targa! The targa is the ugliest version.

Great video! I'm getting ready to get my first 911 after both of my M cars sell. I've owned a Macan S and 981 Cayman S prior. I drove a 992 base about a year ago and was blown away. I had driven a 991.2 base and 997s prior and they were nice but the 992 really did it for me 😊 I think a 992S will be my sweet spot!

The perfect 911 is the one that you need, not the one that you want. We have the luxury to choose from so many variants and can select so many options, that it is tempting to keep upselling yourself into the wrong car.I bought the version that corresponded with how and where I do most of my driving and was not disappointed.

Shouldn’t the ideal Porsche be a manual? And why the 4? I would go for a T or a GT3 Touring.
