Have a pair of these S/812 set up with mono block tube amps plus high end Floor speakers plus using the .1 LFE with home theater system in a 5.1 channel Kef LS 50 for fronts SVS Ultra for Center Channel , even with Home theater these subs sound very musical ! they are very different from the previous Subwoofers that I have owned ( HSU-VTF MK 15 , Polk, NHT )normally i don't prefer Sub for 2 channel listening as my floor standing speakers with dual 8 " woofers will go down to 26 HZ but these are special and fill n the 24/26 Hz botton that I was looking for range !
Would you say these sound better for movies than the svs pb 16 ultras ported and sealed. And how low below 19hz do they go. I have the ht1205, its fast and detailed but i have my eyes on the s812.
@@rayking507 I own a Hsu VTF MK 15 -2 Subwoofer which I was using for my seperate HT system for a few year . but in 2018 I upgrade to a very high end custom made --www.daedalusaudio.com-- Speakers for music. ended up spending as much as a new Tesla model 3 on the system including custom made mono tube amps PS audio DirectStream DAC , wywire top of the line custom made cables (expensive some say snake oil when it comes to cables but not my experience if you have reference quality gear for music) the mono amps for music needed a pair of RELs the choice was a single REL G mark 2 but was recommended by REL to get the 2- S/812 both for listening to music and for HT They beat anything I have heard so far including Rhythmic , Polk or martin Logans & SVS , have heard the SB 4000. the S/812 they go down to 19Hz my Daedalus Poseidon towers go down to 24 HZ , For HT don't miss the Hsu 15 " VTF 2 now sitting in the garage the response on the REl is not only very linear but distortion free room filling very realistic !

Shame Rel don't make 15 or 18 inch version.
