West Texas with it's mountains & desert is awesome & beautiful, and once again Black Flag left me longing for more. So I'll go to their Lubbock, TX gig Sat. 4/29.

As a follower of punk music since the late 70's and early 80’s, I think the lyrics from the album Group Sex (Circle Jerks) are ironic when seeing this video. Live Fast Die Young (written by members of the band) nears its end with Keith signing “I don't wanna live to be fifty seven”. Thank goodness he did live to that age and start this outstanding group. This 52 year old man loves Flag and especially “My War”. In my opinion, the best version of the original Black Flag song I have ever heard.

Mike V & Black Flag kick ass, but cannot compare with the way Keith Morris and the boys do this song here! Excellent! _Keith Morris is still so good_ on stage, behind the microphone at 67 years old!
He was only 58 here, but shit, the point still stands brother! I dunno if I can cosign Greg's version of keeping the music alive, though. His behaviour offstage over the past few decades has demonstrated nothing but narcissistic contempt for his ex-bandmates and the timeless work they created together - there's legitimately too many examples of him being a sleazy asshole to count. And with that being the case, it's very difficult for me to accept that he's still playing these songs out of love for the music and a desire to share it with new generations of fans, as Keith and co. so clearly are.
