    What kinds of symptoms were you having to change this? I have somewhat of a rough idle with my 2007 4.2L. I've already changed ignition coil pack and all the plugs and wires. It hesitates a little at take off shortly after start up and there is sometimes a little clicking/knocking at idle. I'm cleaning out my Mass Airflow Sensor tomorrow. Also, have you dealt with changing the Idle Air Control Valve. Great Video!!!

      The type of symptoms I was having was it seemed like when I I would start it up, it would run real funny, like it was going to cut off. When I would put it in drive, I would have to ride the gas peddle and the brake, because it would cut off. I took it to my mechanic, he ran the fog through my engine to see where the areas that were not sealed, sure enough, all the fog was coming out of the EGR Valve. The next day I changed it, it didn’t run perfect immediately, I had to let it run for a bit, but all of a sudden it pulled itself together. I hope this helps.

    What size is the nut that detaches the module pipe??

      I’m sorry I can’t remember, but I’m sure u can get it off with some grip pliers

      @@MrDarklion80That and WD-40 didn't budge it one bit. I got some PB Blaster to try again this weekend with a 20-30mm wrench set on the way. Using an oversized graduated crescent it looks to be around 26-27mm. I couldn't get leverage with the crescent, it's too big. Thanks for getting back.

    How long did you drive it before you regained power?

      It may have taken a couple hours after I fixed it, to drive like normal again.

      Yeah it’s kind of random how it started acting normal again, it was weird. It took some time though.

      ryan kesti I cant remember the exact codes, but I can tell you what it was doing. I was riding fine, until I started to lose pressure, it started running funny, I mash the gas all the way to the floor, but I just cut off. After a while it would ride fine, then it would happen again.I took it to Autozone for the codes which tells me to “probably”change my fuel pump. I took it to my mechanic, so he ran the fog through my engine and he noticed it was leaking through my egr valve, I changed it, and it has been running fine ever since.

      Awesome video and job! I have the same truck and have P0174. Checked all intake gaskets, pcv, hoses...yet no leak despite running smog test. Mechanic suspects might be one of the injectors. Thou there was a leakage at the EGR. I will follow your steps. Thanks.
