I am so happy that I found acrylic pouring/fluid art a few years ago. It has helped me in so many ways and it just keeps getting better and better. This visual arts creative outlet has made me so happy. I am loving this abstract art! I hope to keep doing this for years to come! I have always been fascinated by modern and contemporary art. There is something about it that is so freeing and expressive. I love acrylic pouring because I get to experiment and really join the creative side of my brain with the scientific part! There are so many different fluid acrylic pouring techniques out there, so much more to try and have fun with. Make sure you are subscribed to my channel so that you may learn and be creative with me. I love hearing all of your comments. ***magnet supplies are in my AMAZON STORE, not etsy. And the glue is DIAMOND GLAZE. Sooo many bloopers in this one. It is a cabochon, not carbachons like I keep calling it 😂😂😂😂 .....never said I was perfect! But the idea is still the same! You guys get the idea!
Here is how I make my magnets! Hope you guys enjoy! What else do you guys do with your left over skins?
BEAUTIFUL!!!
I'm still new to your channel - how did you get those skins to begin with?
Did you just do an acrylic pour on a silicone mat, or is there something else involved I missed?
Would it work on just plastic wrap (like for food), and peel off when dry?
Were these test-pours before doing them on a canvas?
So much curiosity here 😜
🐬✌💕
@@indigoblue4me It is the actual run off from the paintings that I do that sits on that mat and I peel them off you can use plastic but it has to lay very flat or else your skins will get wrinkled and they're not as useful that way that's why I loved the silicone mat because it peels off very easily
@@MOLLYSARTISTRY THANKS!!
How much do you sell the magnets for?
I make coasters with the skins and also magnets like these. The magnets I don't sell just give them as thank you gift to the people who buy my paintings. You can do alot of things with the skins like jewellery and bookmarks which can save your day if you do vendor events.
I just commented and asked about the etsy saw this and deleted!😂😂😂 its okay perfect has NO imagination and is boring! Stay you and love the magnets!❤
Just looking out for a crafty friend. It's not "carba"chones". Its "caba" "shawns". Giggling, hope that helps. I hear it all the time as a lapadarist. Can be tricky I guess. Have a great day. By the watt it's a really good practice to clean your cabs first. Then use gloves to add adhesive and apply to skins. Sometimes you'll find smudges/ finger prints etc. after it's all done setting up and it's frustrating. 🥴
I love how the arched glass magnifies the details of the skins. It's fun to let small kids finger paint etc. Then create these for Christmas gifts.
You are a beautiful soul... so generous for sharing your knowledge! What lovely unique gifts the magnets would make!! 💫💫💫
Those cabochons really intensifies the colours, really great idea not letting it go to waste, good for the environment too.
Now those magnets are beautiful and look very useful. Thanks for showing me how you do this. Love them.
Thank you for sharing.
Thanks Molly. I have a bowlful of cabochons I glued gift rap to and magnets , but I think this is great use of skins!
Oh dear God! You are a blessing! These are beautiful and easy to make. I bow to God for your love in showing us. I can use these for a fundraiser for my own cancer issues. Blessings unto you. Thank you so much for this video! These could be made into beautiful unique earrings!! Just wow! Much success to you now and forever!
I can't wait to be able to afford the supplies! Wheew! God is always wonderful and present in his children.
So much useful information and a wonderful use of the skins. Very pretty and the serve a purpose. Easy to market.
Thank you Molly🎨
With the help of your video I made my first magnets (and pendants) indeed easy to make and a great joy! It gives me such great pleasure & joy in moving the cabochon over the skin and looking for the best composition. Every time when I find the right composition I have a smile on my face. With the pendant this even goes twice, first time when glueing the skin to the cabochon and second time when glueing the cabochon on the pendant.
I have used most of the skin of my overspill for this first batch.
And very happy that these beautiful coincidental mini pours our also find a good use
I need to start pouring again asap since I have used most of my overspill.
Happy painter 😜
Very informative! Thanks for the quick class!
Very cool and beautiful love it
Very beautiful. I love them
You know I love my Molly Magnets ❤️❤️ I like how you’re doing different sizes now 👍
👋 Molly. Thank you for your time to show us how you make your magnets.
Quite liking the Bloopers too 😜.
Agree we can’t and I don’t want to be perfect all the time, might as well be a bloody 🤖.
Hahaha, thank you karen! Omg, how embarrassing hahahah. Soooo many mistakes. That's what happens when I am just rambling on. 😂.
Molly you should try to remember to just pull the Collander holes togetherwhen it’s wet with a tooth pick or dot pick so you can use all of it once it dries!!!
Thanks for sharing your methods!
so lovely
Way cool 😀 thank you Molly.
I really appreciate this tutorial. I’ve seen these art supplies on Etsy, just didn’t understand how to use them, so thank you!!!
Molly these domed magnets really bring out the beautiful colors. I love them.❤
Thanks, Molly! You are so freaking generous with your knowledge. You are amazing. :)
Merci pour votre partage:)
From Switzerland
Molly, Your Magnets are absolutely beautiful & what a clever way to not waste the over pour from your Amazing Painting's😀 Great Video!!!
THANK YOU I have been saving my skins because they are awesome.
Now I have something to do with them.
Beautiful! I've made pendants like this from skins. With cabachons set into bails. Love your videos.
Absolutely gorgeous!
Omg, thanks! This is so much easier than using a circle cutter thingy that I wind up wasting paint skins with! Yaaaay!
these are lovely thank you Molly! I got my mat will try this
That's how I feel about acrylic pouring. It makes me so happy. :-) those are beautiful. I can't wait to make my own. Thanks for the tips.
You are so welcome!
Very pretty gifts!! Diamond Glaze is wonderful stuff! You can use it for many projects.

Great Molly, I was wondering how they do that. Thanks for sharing gorgeous !!!
Thanks for all the info. Placed an order for supplies and it should be here on Tuesday...now I have something to do with my skins! Thank you!
I am glad! Hope you have fun making them! What size cabochon did you order?
Thank you so much Molly
Those came out so beautiful! Thanks for sharing! 😃
Anyone else think of Goldmember from Austin Powers when he saves his skin? Sorry I had to say it lol!! These are so cool, thanks for this video, it's great!!
😄
Thank you, Molly. Excellent demonstration.
Molly, I love the magnets that I purchased from you. So, I decided to make some for my friends and family. I was attaching them the hard way and kept getting air bubbles. Thanks for the video. I do appreciate your videos.
Thank you, great tutorial!
Sorry I’m late to the party. I was cooking my soon-to-be world famous beer cheese sauce. 🤤
I love those magnets! I don’t have any use for magnets but you did say you also had coasters so I’ll check those out.
Love it 💕💕
Cabochon is actually French for a smooth domed gem. It is usually used in jewellery. I thought you might like that bit of information. I have a LARGE collection of both polished and raw semi-precious and gem stones. LOL I love these ideas for the magnets. They are so pretty and you're reusing what was left over. I would love to see lighter coloured colander pours on the back of the black magnets. I think they would be absolutely cool and beautiful.
Love ❤️ I'm making magnets right now. 🥰🥰🥰 thank you for the inspiration you always give me!
You are so welcome!
These magnets are gorgeous, Molly. I just moved to my new house and have boxes everywhere!...lol, but as soon I can set my painting area in the basement, I will show you a couple of paintings I made with your techniques in mind.
Be well 💜
Eva.
So pretty Molly, they look great. Thankyou for sharing 💖😊
I've liked and subscribed. Thank you.
Michelle Edhouse at McE Art on RUclips dips the cabochons in the wet [skin] drips with the Bluestick and a popsicle stick. When they are dry, she puts them in matching bezels for pendants and pulls. Another way to use skins! This was a good video and I liked how you showed us so we could see your excitement. Thank you.
Cool idea.
You can use glossy silver spray paint on the back of the larger cabochons then apply a thin layer of resin or UV resin after gluing the skins to make cute little unbreakable mirrors.
Great idea!
Omgosh! These are fabulous! I must, I must! ;)
Thank you!
Holes! Those colander pours are so pretty & the holes can just be looked at as a part of the piece. I dunno, I'm weird but I still vote holes. Oh, oh!!! I've got an idea: there ARE spaces between the holes - you could put a small piece of the between the holes behind the holes (I hope that makes sense).
Molly these are beautiful! The cabochons almost give it a magnifying view of these! I’ve been meaning to try these, now I most definitely will! Fantastic tutorial! Thanks for sharing! 🌹💐🥰
hi Molly I just ordered my set of stuff to get started making some I got the 18mm stuff thanks. I do need something to keep me busy this winter.
Here in the mountains of Wyoming.
💕Oh Molly...these are gorgeous
Thank you for doing this video!
Beautiful work!!! Thank you!
This is so cool!!
I just ordered the jumbo silicone Matt and the apron and used your code ☺️🙏🏼 super excited (I am a novice acrylic paint 🎨 pouring addict)
Yay! You will def like the mat for skins and easy clean up! Welcoming to pourers anonymous!
Cab_a_shawn :) great video. You are a great teacher!
🤣 yes! Ty!
They are so pretty!!
Thanks for sharing, I can’t wait to make some
These are so fun!
Damn, lady, you've just given me a nice idea for xmas presents. THANKS!!!

Thanks for taking the time to make this vid-simple enough and really awesome magnets!!
Wauuuuu wauuuuu. Super idea 💡❣️
Cool😎
I've been using this idea and love it! Thank you!!
Everyone makes jewelry. I’m not into that, but I love fridge magnets. I have some cabachons I use for my mixed media, I will have to try this.
thank you for sharing!!!! they are beautiful! I thought CaRbachon was just yr accent lol
Omg i can't stop writing comments. Theese magnets are sooo cool 😍
Ty!
I LOVE magnets.
Beautiful Job!!
Thank you!
Just got some in the mail about to give it a go !
I used your link earlier this week for the LOLIVEFE. I can’t wait for it to arrive! 🌺
hi Molly...these are fab. I'm thinking. you could make these into amazing wrist cuffs/bracelets.
So helpful, my first round at this was, uggg, sold them all, however I was personally unhappy
Glad it helped, but I'm sure next time you will have more fun doing it!
So I just got to the part of your video it describe how to do it with dipping and I was trying to hold it with my fingers and do it and so it was very messy and I had paint all on the outside that I had to get off and it was just not a good deal… So I have to try it with that stick and the putty and see if that helps
Thanks for the tutorial - how do you make the paint skins? Can you just use acrylic paint w/o adding all kinds of stuff to them?
I meant no offense, I’m old and don’t hear so good, anyway! I’m just starting our with pours, you are so clear, succinct! Ty for responding LH
Lol, no offense taken lol
Amazing Molly :)💜
Hey Molly. What type of glue did you for your cabochon? Those are so cool.
I use the e6000 for my magnets. Do you like the diamond glaze Better? What size cabachon do you use.? Very nice.
Brilliant... do you make jewellery the same way too please
What glue are you using, Molly? I love your fridge magnets! Your very fun to watch craft too!
Its diamond glaze
This video was super helpful… I just wonder what is the best thing to let your paint skins dry on? I can’t wait to try this now. I was doing it the hard way and dipping them and it was a disaster. Lol.
I use a silicone mat
Ty for sharing your technique. I looked in amazon shop but wasn’t sure what to order in cabachons that come in the purple packaging.
Hi Molly, Really appreciate your video on doing your magnets (and of course everything else) . Could you please tell me did you use the same brand of glue in both stages ? Thanks Molly!!
Thank you! Yes, I did!
How thick do you like your paint skins to be before using for magnets? Do you wait to peel off your mat until multiple pours have been completed or after each painting?
The paint doesn't have to be thick, just an entire piece. Yes i place one mat aside and let dry unless the colors make sense to add together. Don't want to make mud!
I had a tiny pair of scissors whose little blades were curved... I dont know what they were meant for, but they were fabulous for trimming my cabochons. I have recently misplaced them and I am afraid I tossed them inadvertently.
Most likely the were/are cuticle scissors...
Beautiful!!! You could try coasters too, or if there is a way to do phone covers that would awesome too :)
I do tons of coasters!
Never done phone covers though that's cool!
I ordered the one inch. If all goes well, I might order another size. Wish me luck!
Good luck!
Very beautiful skins !!! Thank you for sharing 😉
P.s. Cabochon sounds like “ KA” = Ka-bochon. I think it’s a French word 😉
