Stryper is one of my all time favorite bands next to KISS. Stryper is so heavy,melodic and munching with a very powerful positive message. I loved these guys since the early 80"s.

I always thought Stryper got a bit of a unfair rap and didn't get the credit they deserved. The label "Christian Metal" was always judged too harshly, both by metal fans and Christians. But they always were good and the musicianship was always was good to great.
And Michael Sweet always reminded me a bit of Dennis DeYoung of Styx, which isn't a bad thing.
Stryper have been around a long time ladies!

Stryper! A GREAT band that will continue to inspire and transfix you. Such heartfelt music, top notch vocals and musicianship with a message people need to hear to heal our world. I recommend "Soldiers Under Command", "The Rock That Makes Me Roll", "To Hell With The Devil" and the stunning ballad "One". I saw them in concert back in the 80's and they've been releasing new music that matches and sometimes surpasses their more well-known material from back in the day. Incredible! They're currently on tour, go see them! 👍

Stryper is an awesome band. They’re music has a positive message and very moving melodies. My wife and I just watched them in concert in Houston and they always out in a great show. If you have a chance to see them in concert you will not be disappointed
One of my favorite guitar solos of all time. That tremolo bounce has always made it a jaw dropper as if the rest of the playing was not mind blowing. Michael Sweet and Oz Fox can stand with ANYONE!
One of the best Christian rock groups I loved listening to, back in the day! A friend of mine was such a huge Stryper fan. He played a few songs for me and I was hooked. A big switch listening to heavy metal rock with a gospel kick to it. Such amazing and talented guys. Glad to see the two of you enjoyed this one. Honestly is one of my favorite songs.
I like Stryper; definitely an underrated band. They are very open about their Christian message, which doesn't always boat well with the metalheads, but it isn't your typical gospel band either. Personally, I am a Christian who loves metal, and I know several others like me. To many, this seems paradoxical - a mismatch. But it really isn't. I listen to metal to give a voice to my frustrations. And I like the message of forgiveness and redemption. Both are ways to deal with my darker emotions - I don't see any contradiction there.
Stryper is the first band to ever have two top ten tracks at the same time on MTV. What a band…they’re one of the few bands I can think of that none of their contemporaries have a bad thing to say about. And they have fans of ALL backgrounds. Christians, atheists, satanists, etc…many have have huge respect for them not only because they can play with the best of them, but they’ve never been afraid to be who they are. They don’t change just to fit for more fans or for more sales. I can’t even begin to tell you how many stories I’ve read about Stryper leading people to the cross. Also, they’re one of the only bands I can think of that get Better over time….if you haven’t checked it out yet, be sure to check out “more than a man”, “make love great again”, “free”

This may be my favorite record from Stryper, as these new versions are better than originals, sound quality-wise and I like Michael Sweet now better than then, his voice is still awesome and not so cheesy, as it was back in the days. Michael Sweet may not be a human after all, there´s quite a few singers from the 80´s, who still sound amazing. Michael does. Stryper is a wonderful band, their "new coming" from 2013 onwards has been almost flawless.
They just put out a new album, Transgressor is a must-hear track off of it.

I have not felt any pain even after the novocaine wore off. The only pain I felt was when the dentist gave me the bill : ( Oh well. I think you will like this reaction, but I am not sure. This is the re-recorded version of Surrender that was released as an album called "Second Coming" in 2013 when Michael Sweet pushed 50 and the first time I listened to their re-recorded hits I felt shocked what a guy like Sweet can reach that freaking high notes thing that singers at the same age or even younger couldn't sing like this anymore and the reason why is that Michael Sweet as a Christian is a disciplined person and that thing benefits his vocal range.

I met Stryper in Southern California at a 7-11. I weas listening to some Scorpions in my truck and a guy walked up all dressed in yellow and black tiger stripes. He Said "It sounds like you like heavy metal" and I said yeah...and he game me a cassette tape with a couple of songs on it and a little tiny Bible and told me to "Rock on".

Another very uplifting Stryper song you might like from the same era (classic Stryper) is the hit song "I Believe In You" (Official Video HD) which along with several other Stryper hits ended up topping the viewer ratings on MTV back when MTV used to play music videos. I love stryper and I really hate to put say anything negative about them but sometimes said it before the was there sophomore album and I really wish they would have kept going in this direction instead they got a bit cheesy all there songs became exatetly 3:30 seconds long although catchy and enjoyable to listen to seem like they were formulated purposefully to fit on the radio there newer stuff is back to the harder stuff though and although I don't find as catchy still great music
