    Fantastic job on the Chevy. Sounds gr8 😊 I remember my grand fathers Chevy just like this one and trying to keep it going. U have brought back so many memories😊

      Yes they are not worth the 5hp at 10,000 rom

    I don’t set the damper on 0 degrees. I set it on the advance I want to set the timing at, then follow down the cap where you want number 1 and scribe a mark on the base of the distributor and pull cap back off. Now you can see where to line up the rotor and it will be right on time. Look at the vac advance to see if it is CW which it is because it’s a Chevy. Then work your way around the cap using the firing order, and remember Chevy has odd bank on left numbered front to back. Just that easy 😂

    You're firing order was right in front of the carburetor on the intake manifold

    Sorry I might have been wrong about the carburetor but what he was holding it upside down the carburetor look like it had bigger boars for the secondary extended to the primaries sorry about that

    Never use all the lights spark plugs they are junk MGK's for me going everything that I own brother to GM or Ford outboard motor a Mercury Marine GM spark plugs with their name on the plug the iridium in platinums are actually ngks I used to work for a dealer and when they first came out with the iridium in the AC Delco box they were ngks written on the plug

    The vortec engine does have the hole in the block for the fuel pump it also should have who won the camshaft for the fuel pump

      So all you really should have to do is take that cover off of the side of the block and put your stock fuel pump back on it

    My 71 c10 has that wire that runs over from the passenger side too that hooks to positive. Ps great work guys.
