      @@williamhorvat8224 also that is a different car. A friends black Z06 we built with the RPM heads/cam package.

    Thanks for the vid I have an eforce LS7 in my 2006. Built all oem but with new, different valve guides and forget slugs.
    I hear a terrible noise (like a collapsed lifter might sound but more metallic and clanky) but cannot find it. Stethescope helped but picks up the noise in several places. Initial inspection, valve covers off (that alone is a pain in the ass) shows nothing unusual in rockers or springs.
    So, your video helps me see what Im getting into with digging deeper if I need to take it apart up front. Man it is a pain in the ass! The steering rack? c'mon man! Especially with my supercharger kit. I may as well beef up the cam and new lifters if I take it apart though! Then, need to tune...great.

    BTW, did you make vids on tuning etc? That is another whole mess.
    If I ever get one of these again, just bolt ons...and enjoy the reliable oem package!

    Wow... no you did not need to take the front nose off man. Too much unneeded extra work and time. Nice vid though.

    Hey! Thanks for the vids man. I have a cyber gray Z as well. Just got the heads back from AHP and decided I'm going to pull the cam and replace with stock LS7 but cut by Cam Motion. Quick question, how did you recover the R134a so you could remove the entire radiator/condenser as one unit? That looks alot easier than have the condenser in the way when pulling the cam. Thanks again!

      Recovery pump and recovery cylinder. I wouldn't recommend that method though unless you have the refrigerant gear on hand. The last Z06 I did I left the condenser in.

Thanks again for taking the time to post these. Very helpful. Also, is that Tool’s cover of “No Quarter” from Salival from 6:02-6:14?? Haha

    Did you do the common C5R timing chain?? That's what everyone pretty much goes with in most cam kits from most top vendors. Factory chain is crap man.

    Did you end up having someone evacuate the AC lines before your disconnected them?

      I evacuated it out before removal of the condenser. But, I do it differently now. You can separate the shroud and remove the rad. Leave the condenser in for the cam swap.

    I have a 2015 Z28 with a dry sump LS7. You refer to a LS7 tech manual in your videos, can you direct me on where I can get one? Thanks

      Robert Fletcher is that the 2006 C6 LS7 manual? If so, I have that one. I’m looking to get a couple specific questions answered. First, is the J41480 tool for oil pump and cover necessary with complete oil pan removal? Second, I’m installing new Mast 305 heads, cam, timing chain, intake, injectors and coils for now, I have seen the oil pump go back on aligned and also offset, the manual does not answer that question. Is there truly a difference that you know of?

I have an 09 Z06, AHP Heads milled .030 fully ported, NW102 TB, Ported STOCK LS7 Intake, JBA Long tubes, JBA Off road X and off road Hooker Axel Back setup no mufflers. No CAM yet running stock cam still dynoed 480 on a mustang dyno. 431TQ. Curious how your Widow does :)
