My Z06 is your cars twin brother LOL! I have a 2009 Cyber Gray 1LZ car with chrome spiders. This past spring I replaced the heads with off the shelf Trick Flow 260 LS7 heads along with 1 7/8" ARH headers with cats, BB PRT axle back, Haltech 108 intake and Elite Engineering catch can. I just bought a Cam Motion Stage 2 cam and Johnson lifters but I don't think I'm going to install it until Spring. To anyone tearing into the LS7 I recommend replacing the lifters with a high quality aftermarket lifter like Johnsons. I replaced the lifters in mine when I did the head swap because I had a bad one and 2000 miles on the new set I have another lifter bleeding down which is why I bought the Johnsons. Thanks for documenting your cam swap.

I just watch your video, hit the like button and subbed. Nice car and well done on your head install. I liked how you marked your head bolts. I sub to watch me wrench as well and I too saw his video on measuring for pushrods and his technique was genius. Thanks for the videos and hope to see more on your beast.

Thumbs up, Brother, you know your stuff, and you pay attention to detail. I have a 2012 Z06, one of the 19 cars painted Crystal Red (which I had to get from Ohio), and although I would love to be able to do the things you've done to your car, my back is too messed up, and I don't have the location to work. I'm in Fort Lauderdale also, and I'd be grateful for any advice on a place that can do the work for me. Stay safe!

Was the fundamental problem of the misalignment of the centers of the exhaust valve and the valve guide corrected? If they just replaced the valve guides and reground the valve seats wouldn''t you basically be back at square one, like how it came from the factory?

Hey Robert, love the video. In the process of doing my own heads right now. I had a question about your head bolts, the guides I have seen show settling torque at 22ft/lbs, a pass at 90 degrees and a final pass at 70. This is specified for a M11, but I see in your manual it says they are M12 bolts with a 60ft/lbs, 90 degrees and final pass at 45. Any input on which one is correct? (mine is an 06 if that matters)
    Thanks!

@@southfloridagearheads6504 I am looking at a GM service manual, it says the LS7 head bolts are M11 x 2 x 100 & M8 x 1.25 x 45, LS series Post 2004. That's why I'm confused yours is showing M12. The two processes are slightly different in your manual vs mine.

You did a fantastic job. My only concern is that I did not hear you speak about changing the head bolts.
They are torque to yield and should not be reused. What cam did you upgrade too. Also what is the address
of the company that did the heads. Thanks. Jerry.

Jerry, thanks for the comment. The head bolts were changed with NEW factory GM head bolts. I think the previous video in the series had all the parts listed and I think that is where I covered the TTY bolts. Texas-Speed and performance did the heads. Check them out on Google. Cam is from Vette-Air called the black widow.
