  • In this video, I discuss Pearson's Correlation and Scatterplots. Other concepts covered include direction of correlations, the coefficient of determination, and variance shared. Data used for this demonstration is from the CORE2016 project (ID: OER29/15 CCY), the National Institute of Education, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.

    I really like this video cuz it introduces the definition of correlation coefficient and the coefficient of determination to us. In addition, Dr. Vahid also taught us how to use SPSS to process the data! Quite useful!!!

    Hi, can I know the ideals numbers of Pearson correlations (r) which considers as multicollinearity?

      Hi, if i understand the question correctly, yes, high correlation between variables can be taken as evidence of multicollinearity. Typically, correlations greater than 0.8 or so.
