Thank you for the great Videos! I'm starting Amazon KDP for the kids' category and am considering beginning with no-content books like handwriting practice books and composition notebooks. After that, I plan to move to low and medium-content books. From where should I start? Could you suggest some ideas and give your opinion on whether this is a good approach for a beginner in 2024? Additionally, what strategies should I consider for marketing these books effectively?
Yes, this is honestly a great approach. Everyone I know that’s been successful with KDP started out with no content books. It’s a good way to learn the ropes while learning everything else about the business. Once you get a handful of no content books under your belt, you can move on to low content books and then once again medium content books. For me, I started out with blank lined journals with funny sayings on the cover and then progressed from there. I wouldn’t worry about advertising in the beginning because that’s a whole other subject, one that could cost you lots of $$$. Plus you don’t really need it as long as you spend time doing proper niche and keyword research to find the keywords that will go into your title, subtitle, and those backend keywords. Once you start making sales then you can think about ads, but by now means is it a requirement to be successful with KDP. Good luck and happy publishing!
I want know that can I publish different categories books like coloring books, activity books, journal etc or should I upload only one kind of books? What do you recommend in order to build kdp account authority?
Yes you can upload all types of books. What you can do is use different author names/pen names for yours books if you want to build a brand that way, or even categorize your books.
Wonderful video. I love your teaching style abd practical advice. I was hoping you Would consider making anither video using canva ( free version) of you editing these files please? I have found some formats not easy to edit. Thanks in advance.
Sometimes I'll get a few different templates from creative fabrica and I like to edit them to keep them consistent. Also, I've tried to modify covers etc in Photopea but it's hit and miss so I end up making them from scratch. Old dog trying to learn new tricks over here so Thank you for the reply and considering my request, much appreciated. Have a beautiful day 😊
I truly appreciate every single video you make. I have learnt so much. Thankyou

Yes, I can definitely do that! Everyone seems to love just the raw make it from scratch on canva videos so I have to do more of those for sure.
