I agree! My son had a spinal fusion for scoliosis and because it affects the lungs…they couldn’t get him to wake up! They had to take him out of post op and back into a different area because I had to okay more narcotics which could have been fatal…i hearing him it’s ridiculous

Janelle is truly a class act. No matter what this screaming toddler throws at her she stays calm and rational. What’s infuriating him is that she won’t cry and cower. He loves Robyn because she’s submissive and the others aren’t and he’s frustrated. If Janelle had broken down in a tearful plea for forgiveness at his feet he would have MAYBE thrown her a tiny scrap of approval before stomping off with SOBBIN’ in tow. Disgusting.

The “near death experience” really bothered me as a person with MS who had bilateral pneumonia and a blood clot. I was neurologically defunct. Weeks and weeks to bounce back. I wanted to give him a ROUNDHOUSE KICK TO THE FACE!!!!!!

It occurred to me, watching Meri sit there silent as usual, that she's actually enjoying seeing Kody be aggressive to Janelle, and previously Christine. Her passivity makes her look like the "good wife" and gives her extra points. She's thinking, one more down, and now maybe he'll take me back. Why is she even there?
It's true. Meri is like the questionable 3rd wheel that everyone wonders why they showed up. She has to feel like she is irrelevant, but she doesn't have enough pride to stay home😃

Exactly. That was his biggest mistake of many and everything spiraled downward after that. His doing. I’m sure Ysabelle’s siblings all were heartbroken for her that Kody was not there for her in the hospital during a dangerous spine surgery. They all saw this uncaring and disloyal side of their father, and it gave Christine even conviction to get the hell out of there.

Speaking of being at home with covid, The oldest daughter stayed away from them and kody recalls her coming up and saying I really miss yall and he starts to cry, yet his whole family has been trying to see the family during covid and he hasnt cared. He didnt cry when he couldnt go to his daughters surgery, or he couldnt see any other of his children.

I had Covid in the beginning when our area didn’t have meds, tests, no one would let you come in to the doctor, etc. I almost died. I had 2 friends that lost both their parents and several others who lost family. I have long Covid. It’s sickening to see the way Robin and Kody act over the mild version.

The original meaning of Christine’s statement, “what does the nanny do?”, was not asking what does the nanny physically do at the house, but what did she do during Covid and Kody’s rules that allowed her to be in his house, but the rest of the family is not allowed. “What does the nanny do that she is allowed in his house, but the family is not?” You are the first person I heard who interpreted her statement as I did.
I'm a 2x Co-nono survivor and I was hospitalized, with heart/lung issues, had to have oxygen, redemsivir...the whole 9! It took me 6 months to leave my house after being released and I don't even consider my situation as near death. Kody is a whole mad man!!!
Remdesivir caused organ shutdowns... you were so lucky!

I was also hospitalized for 5 days, was on dexamethasone and resemdivir. I left the hospitized and was 3 months on oxygen with heart, lung issues. Mu husband was 30 days in ice and on a ventilator, and 3 months in the hospital and nursing home. Give me a break, he was NOT near death!

I had covid and didn't have the strength to hold my phone and scroll or even look at my phone because my eyes hurt so bad and I was so tired. I couldn't talk and could barely breathe and didn't go to the doctor or hospital because they were full. So, it makes me sick to hear Kody and Robyn act like they were so sick! Seriously! I lost friend that struggled on the ventilator and died in their 30s! This makes me sick!
Also, when Robyn has to admit that her tests were okay she says "yes my lungs sound yucky" and "I could get better or maybe not" it's just b.s. She was sent home because she wasn't that sick.

I’m thinking Robyn as a DV survivor is relieved that anger isn’t directed at her and will do anything to keep it that way. What a plot twist it would be if Robyn leaves him too. Once he has no one else to divert his anger upon would Robyn stay especially if he decides he wants a monogamous marriage ? I don’t like Robyn but her stillness through this scene made me feel she was trying to make sure he didn’t turn on her too.

I currently have covid. I'm actually doing my household cleaning while listening to this. Do I feel like crap? Yes! But truly nothing compares to seeing my brother suffering at the end of his life this last january. Sure there are people extremely sick because of covid. But most of us? Bad flu/cold like symptoms. In almost 3 years of Covid this is the first time I've had it. I work with people, am a part time carer for my mother who had loads of medical appointments. His rules were so very very strict for just regular people with normal immune systems.
I would 100% watch a show about Janelle and Christine and their kids!
That's the way it should go. Let's see if TLC has the guts to stop this abusive cycle. Obviously, this show about a polygamist family was a farce from the beginning. Not the "Love should be multiplied, not divided" garbage they promoted in the beginning. I also wish they would talk to the older kids on camera now that this is all being exposed. Not to expoit them but to hear their side and how they feel about how their mother's and other siblings are being treated. Kody needs to hear it from their mouths. I believe they are all intelligent, well spoken young adults with minds of their own. I thought they showed appropriate caution and responsibility during Covid. Probably more than Kody. For him to imply that they were being irresponsible was nonsense. He wasn't even seeing them at the time, he was just assuming and accusing them of not properly social distancing. Isn't it just like a narcissist to question the CDC's recommendations and opt for his own set of rules and insist that they're better. Isn't this the 2nd time his and Robyn's family has gotten Covid? First from the nanny and now from one of the kids bringing it from school? And he still doesn't know how it spreads or how to stay safe.
Wow. He needs serious help. When he said "death-like experience" I burst out laughing. I'm never going to watch this season. It's disturbing.

Kody literally is The Drama.
When my two year old would have a tantrum, and throw herself on the floor kicking and screaming, we would just walk away and ignore her. We learned that any attention only fed the tantrum. Janelle walking away was the right thing to do.

Especially since Kody is actually acting just as a two-year old throwing a tantrum to get whatever he/she wants! It doesn’t matter if it’s a major issue or a minor one; thwart them and they act just like Kody! My kids learned this wouldn’t work because I would ignore the tantrum at home and if out would immediately remove the tantrum thrower out of any establishment we were in and calmly wait with them sitting on the stairs or alcove for them to calm down. Too bad Kody’s mom never taught him tantrums don’t work (in real life). A valuable lesson if learned young.
I think Kody can tell Janelle is on the way out, so he’s making sure he puts all the blame on her, publicly and on the record so he doesn’t have to accept that the marriage failure is on him.
Not sure how this show can continue much longer, honestly! He is beyond belief. And he needs to watch the whole show, from the beginning! Because he apparently has no memory left....
I really wish one of these women would just confront him on his issues on camera, like how you said he left to be at his friend’s wedding, etc. Turn the tables around on him. Then walk away. He is never held accountable for anything, even if he is a narcissist.

Think he's trying to drive Janelle away before she has a chance to get her assets secured. He's mad because Christine slipped away with the equity on her house. He feels cheated by Christine and is going even harder on Janelle to prevent a repeat of a wife getting away with some money in her pocket! He doesn't care about Christine being gone, he's pissed that he'd taken his name off the house.

I think that's true but I can't figure out how Christine is going to recoup her losses At this point. He's obviously not going to sign anything over to her. I guess she has the equity of the trailer home and whatever personal savings she has. But she already gave 300k to them for Robyn's house and that was a huge mistake unfortunately. But she's so smart I think if she left she could figure out a way to make some good money again. She'll have more energy and that'll help her in every way, including financial.
Exactly, that's why he keeps changing the reasons why she can't start building on Coyote Pass. First he trys to convince her to buy Christine's house and that she could somehow then afford to pay off the property and start building, which was a complete lie then he started saying some other nonsense about having to do something else before anyone could build. I really think that Kody is a huge con man and most of his business dealings are very shady. Fortunately, Janelle has been their tax person and I think has a pretty good hand on their business affairs. She knows exactly what she needs to do to set herself up to be financially stable on her own.
I believe Janelle already knows she is going to leave at this point. She’s got a plan. She is in no position to leave yet so she’s just weathering the storm. She has what it takes. She doesn’t need him. She has already said he’ll she’ll pick her kids over him and even her dogs over him. She has known Cody long enough to know what his MO is. All she needs is time… if she stays a bit longer she’ll keep getting paid for the show and she’ll be able to build a reserve to enable her financial independence. Tic toc….
Its just so sad that Janelle gives him so many chances because she loves him and considers him her best friend. I am so thankful that she is finding her strength on her own. He is such a fool. It IS all his fault. A death like experience. Oh please. He had a mild case compared to the rest of the world.

In my 20s, I was in a long term relationship with a guy who told me that he wouldn't have children with me unless I promised not to love them more than him. I ended that relationship because it was emotionally abusive. That's what Kody is doing to Janelle. She can't love her kids or her dogs more than him because he believes that he is the sun.

We care about this family so yes we continue to watch. I so wish the best for Janelle and Christine. They have both proven how they could support the family financially. I think together, they are going to knock single life out of the park.
OK - Kody is really, really bad. But he has provided hours of entertainment around my house tonight. “I just stubbed my toe! I’ve had a near death experience!” “My nose is running. I’m definitely near death!” My family is now ready for our TLC audition after Kody’s master class😂

Btw: Katie I totally understand how life changed during the pandemic. My husband and I are both disabled and at risk. We didn't impose rules on anyone else. We simply stayed home and ordered what we needed...groceries, prescriptions, etc. We never got that virus or any other until 2 weeks ago....we got the flu. Kody is an absolute jerk!

My father is the manliest man I know and he has NEVER EVER acted this way. In fact, my dad told me that people who yell and show aggression during a peaceful conversation lack self control and the emotional intelligence to communicate effectively. My dad ran out home strict but filled with respect and appropriate communication. My mom was the Queen and enforced dad’s law 😂. She was the cool one!

This shit hits me. I grew up with a narcissistic father. I didn’t realize it until a few years ago and I didn’t realize how bad it is.
I’ve told people it’s like living in the 1950’s at times or maybe being in the IBLP.
My mom is there to serve him. She doesn’t realize what she is in. If she does, she is scared to leave.
I get yelled at and told what a piece of shit I am because I left the religion. You would think that since I’m over 40 I can choose.
They literally told me that my child (who is extremely responsible and kind), would be more respectful (not sure where they pulled that one because he is respectful) if I or my husband took him to church.
We have and he hates it. He doesn’t believe it and that’s ok. He can ask more in death questions than I did at that age.
Sorry for the rant. But this just reminds me of shit I’ve seen in my own family.
I’m 65 and didn’t realize until I started watching Kodys tirades that lining the kids and mom up while dad marches around spewing a tirade is abusive narcissistic behavior. I thought it was just Sunday afternoon in my house. If nothing else, watching Kody’s abusive antics has been therapeutic.
YES YES YES!!! Your situation sounds EXACTLY like mine. I didn't know until recently, that there was a name for the disgusting & horrible way that my step father, to this very day, treats me. I always knew I didn't like it & I never saw anyone else's parent treat them this way, and I"m 50 years old!!! But, I am in therapy & I am learning to stand up for myself. And Janelle is so amazing & so strong & is FINALLY seeing the light, & recognizing that she has a voice & self worth! She will come out of this THRIVING, & Cody & Sobbin' are gonna meet Karma! And we all know what a bi**h she is!!! LOL

I don’t see it the same. I grew up in a main stream Mormon house. So maybe it was different because there was only one mom and only 3 kids to get my dads crap.

My 48 year old brother died of covid and not once did he act like Kody . For four months he fought for his life and never did he want anyone to feel sorry for him.
Thank God that the majority of us whom caught covid did not have to fight for their life. Kody you were never at death's door . It was inevitably that the majority of us would catch covid.

You know what irks me...I fell into a very high-risk group for Covid. My doctors told me outright they didn't know if I could survive it because I'm immunocompromised, so I took every precaution imaginable short of locking myself in my house and never stepping outside. My elderly father is on Chemotherapy for Leukemia so naturally took every precaution he could short of locking himself away...neither of us or my husband or my mother ever got Covid, so listening to Kody go on about these insane rules when everyone in that house save 1 person ended up getting Covid tells me that he had no clue what the heck he was doing and that he tore his family apart for absolutely no reason. He should be APOLOGIZING to everyone for acting like a raving lunatic but instead, he's yelling and screaming because everyone didn't blindly follow him like sheep. This man needs serious psychological help, not to mention mood stabilizers. I wouldn't trust him around any child...adult or tender age. That whole family is better off as far away from him as possible!
