I was told to spread my money across different things like stocks and bonds to protect my $750k retirement savings. Now, with the markets being shaky, should I keep adding money to my portfolio or consider other options?

True, I mostly just buy and hold stocks, but my portfolio has been mostly in the red for quite awhile now. Unfortunately to be able to make good gains, you’ll need to be consistent and restructure your portfolio frequently.

These are very valuable rules for anybody who wants to get rich. Unfortunately, most people who will watch this video will not really be able to apply the principles. We may not want to admit, but as Warren Buffett once said, investing is like any other profession-- it requires a certain level of expertise. No surprise that some people are losing a lot of money in the bear market, while others are making hundreds of thousands in profit. I just don't know how they do it. I have about $89k now to put in the market.

Understanding personal finances and investing will most likely lead to greater financial independence. By being knowledgeable about money and investing, individuals can make informed decisions about how to save, spend, and invest their money. I’ve learned a lot from you and I think you should start campaigning for the education system to teach about these things in high school and to force these kids to start IRA’s as a school project. Or at least educating parents on the importance for them to start an IRA for their children or to hav r their children start their own.
With that said, I’m going to open an IRA of my own but have a question to ask you:
is there any company/ bank you recommend I open it with? I’m having trouble picking one. So far I’ve narrowed it down to Charles Schwab or Fidelity and will invest in the VOO for the top 500 companies.
