    A fiend and I metal detected the area a few years ago. I found old cooking pots and lots of melted glass in burn piles. The pool area was really interesting. We had lunch by the old railroad trestle on the river. We were visited by a couple of Garter snakes. It was a fun time.

    It never ceases to amaze me that every time I watch a Fairfax video no one ever shows the giant wall! This wall is huge. And you can’t get to Fairfax without walking right past it. We’re talking 80 feet long by possibly 30 feet tall by about 3 feet thick. And no one ever shows it. Considering there’s nothing left of that town, it’s actually the most amazing thing there is to see out there.

      @brettmeldahl4456 I think you might mean the wall also known as the blacksmith shop that is along the way into Melmont
