Thanks. This is great. (I need to warm up with some music going on more often as opposed to a metronome app!) Speaking of warm ups, I use a lot of your stuff these days! Love that "5-7-10" you laid on us a while back. And the flam mill exercise where you displace the accent every bar. The workout in your Episode 1 is also a good one, especially with the increasing tempo. So I guess anything that involves flams gets the blood flowing. Have a great weekend.
@@paulrevelli Ah right on dude! Love it! I'm thinking of creating a new work out or heck even doing this one as a work out as it definitely gets the blood moving!
Who is this super slim dude who has taken over Juan’s channel?! 😂😎 Dude, man. You’re looking great! Also, it’s a real rarity to have an amazingly talented drummer who actually fully understands the notation and theory side AND be able to teach it with amazing presenting skills. Amazing studio, amazing audio, lighting, etc. I can only imagine the time and effort you’ve put into this. By far the best teacher ever. You’re already world famous. I wish for limitless abundance for you my brother. Thank you for everything you have given us.
Thank you so much! Just trying to help out a bit. Trying to reach that 100k subs club! Gotta keep grinding!
Juans warmup tempo is my fastest best day!!! Great video dude.....as always!
Ah man you will kill it in no time. Hope all is well!
@@JuanCarlitoMendoza not sure about no time but I need to get ma butt back in the game so this'll do nicely.
Gracias JuanCarlito
El PDF es de mucha ayuda para ententer la leccion.
That 32nd note fill in thing is very master's studies. Dig.
Ah man love that book! Need to bring it back out. Been a while!!
@@JuanCarlitoMendoza it's been kicking my butt all month!
Great excercise. Flipping through your channel for new skills to work on and pushing my limits even further. I've been playing for 18 years but always wanna learn something new.
An excercise I start with this video is playing 16th notes with the mentioned accents and right foot on 1, 2, 3 & 4 by a metronome.
Keep up the great work and happy drumming everyone.👍🤟🥁🎵🎶
Oh man, I live for these types of exercises! That little bit of SCV feel is that cherry on top.
Absolutely man!!!!! I had a feeling you would dig this one!!
Hi
It's a great exercise to me. Thank you now I follow you on RUclips to get better.
Thanks for the follow and glad it helped!
So much value in this one! I've learnt to read better in just 8 minutes with this practical method u use by highlighting what everything means as you speak. So grateful for this information!

For my daily warm up Im using cuban triplet, but Im down to use 3 2 clave. Thank you so much for sharing! Your hands are awesome as always. 🙌💯
Ah right on! Also, if you want the challenge, you can put the clave on your left foot that way you can test your independence/coordination :)
@@JuanCarlitoMendoza i havent tried that...wooo. this is gonna be fun. Thank you! 🙏
Warm up? My brain fried on the first example. Insert new brain please 🤣
Amazingly clean and exact, Juan!
I wouldn't get there in this life.
😆 no you can totally do this. Just take it slow, be patient and it’s not about the speed it’s about playing it with control. That’s what matters. As long as it warms you up you’re ok!
@@JuanCarlitoMendoza
It's amazing to hear all the delicate details you do with such control 🤗
Rudiments other than singles and doubles on the pad have for over 30 years, always been one of the hardest things for me. I've never learned to get them down.
And since I can't do them on the pad, I can't apply anything of that on the kit to make intresting fills.
Limb independence and coordination are also two of my major struggles.
Underrated! Beast bro
Thank you means a lot
@@JuanCarlitoMendoza dude you make things look so simple, it’s really Inspired me lately. I have a Question, is there a right or wrong way to practice the drums on a practice pad? Sometimes that’s all I got at my leisure. Any tips would be appreciated fam
Tumba eso compay, esto ta buenísimo !!! Dale Tigre !!!
Gracias Tony! Un abrazo fuerte!
EXCELLENT..!
