Juan Carlito Mendoza brother if i May follow up. I’m trying to really understand this. I get the mathematics but not really the sound of like doing this to say take 5 or or just a super basic boom boom clack 1/8th note in the hats 5/4 groove not swung. Are there any other examples out that you know of?
Unbelievable!! How in the world can somebody dislike this video!! You Just messed up my lesson day. Im sitting here watching this video!! Bro. I'm kinda speechless right now!!!
Juan Carlito Mendoza ...Ha! Just chugging along in isolation. I am actually recording right now, but stopped to check out your vid. Great stuff as always. I hope you and your family are healthy and safe.
And then the quintuplets showed up hahaha! Another groove, or better yet another concept learned! You are a great teacher and a very humble person. These quarantine days will be groovy! Thank you ✊🏾🇧🇷
Take bonus example 7, move the right hand to the ride cymbal, and do a high hat foot when the right hand isn’t playing, in the sixteenth note rests in between :)
Simply "take five" (Joe Morello: one of the best jazz drummer). Simply good to the ear and visually pleasing. It changes from the traditional 4/4. Thank you for your taste for groove and for your always lipid pedagogy. A real pleasure. 👍🎶
Hello Juan Carlito, I'm Brazilian, and really enjoyed your presentation in the video competition of the Guitar Center channel. You are an excellent drummer ... where I live or the most played rhythm is or forró, there are several styles for this rhythm, I think you want to enjoy it, thank you, amazing!
I loved the way you played groove of 5 and played it as a quintuplet and that makes sense to me...It unlocked my creativity..Thank you Juan Carlito Mendoza. God bless you brother.
@@JuanCarlitoMendoza Yes, I agree 🤗 Even if I'll never learn to do most of your stuff, I love your lessons. Your drumming puts a smile on my face. 🤗 Easy to understand when you break it down in those chunks. Keep it up!
the snare looks like the Sensitone Phosphor Bronze, but what is the rest of the kit...? sounds great! Also, your drum key looks really neat, is this a Cherry Hill key...? Nice lesson, greetings from Germany!
Hey Andreas, you NAILED IT! It's a sensitone Phosphor Bronze (5x14). The rest of the kit is a midtown kit! Crazy you don't have to spend a lot of money to get a pro sound. Get yourself some Pearl Drums ;). The key is from Cherry Hill as well! Hope you're staying safe out in Germany!

I dont have a metronome, does anyone have suggestions for an app or something?
Gijs Arends just type in metronome on the App Store, you’ll get lots of options. I use PolyNome which is fantastic! “Click” is also a nice one.
soundbrenner
remus blaque do you like that thing? I never tried it. Is it accurate? Can you put subdivisions on it?

remus blaque yeah PolyNome is SICK! Pretty much a sequencer or a metronome on steroids 😂 glad you dig the soundbrenner and use it for your needs.
No real drummer could ever call this useless.
