It’s a Pearl masterworks maple/gum 12X4.5 with die cast hoops. Coated Remo ambassador on top and ambassador snare side on the bottom. Bottom head pretty tight and top head medium tight. Strike in the center and I have a big fat snare ring on it to kill the overtones. Hope that helps!
Yup. They become flat as the tempo gets faster. Just the natural thing it does. I could have left them open, but then they would not have the "chatter" effect.

I really like the Flam accent and have used it like this between the snare and toms but never really thought of using it this way, great! idea
