What's your favorite warmup track or song to play along with?

When you increase the bpm 's it comes alive.
Love it when you apply it on Latin Music. Mucho like!!!!!

Definitely! Gotta do it slow first, but once it gets going it starts cooking!

Amazing video - the instruction, the graphics, the little tips here and there and things to look out for, and the musical applications! You have made a perfect 10-minute drum lesson. Cheers!

I look at a flam as two strokes that are very close together, and either or neither stroke can be an accent. An accent is optional when playing flams. We can play one of these displacement exercises and move the flam while leaving the accent in one place, or move the accent while leaving the flam.
This opens up a whole new world of possibilities in practice and application.

Yup we call that “gridding” in the marching percussion world. Thanks for your comment!

@@JuanCarlitoMendoza Yup, as exercises you were doing would be called as well.
The idea of flams that actually don't feature an accent is subtle, and they sound subtle as well, heh.

Hope the long time subscribers are in the running for the Pearl snare - it looks cool. The first musical application sounded very cinematic, like an action scene!
