The old skin is there in peeling layers to protect the new skin from any harm (chemicals, products, ect) That's why she's supposed to let it fall off naturally instead of peeling it. The new skin will signal when it has enough defenses to stand alone without the old skin on top.

Dymond B. , You won't start peeling for 2 days ( the mouth area is first - then nose, cheeks and forehead area )....by the 4th to 5th day you'll only see areas peeling around hair line areas

I was wondering why you were doing that at first, but then saw how bad your skin really was and understood. I’ve never seen this done, so thank you. As a nurse, I would recommend not wearing the eyelashes and contacts when procedure done. If you had to rinse your eyes quickly or got something in them, you could risk damage to your eyes. I could see a difference afterwards. You’re very pretty without makeup, lashes and contacts too 😊

I live in Seoul where these and other similar treatments are really popular. Korean people take their skincare very seriously. If you have the chance check out some of the clinics in Gangnam they do the same services for so much cheaper ( than in the USA) . and you get a vacation out of it too! I want to try this myself but don't want to go to work with a flaky face (I'm a teacher) and my students will drag me hahaha.

I recently had my 10th VIP, but I had a different person apply it - wow, whatever she did different was great ( she applied TCA peel on top of the VIP peel on forehead, cheeks, and chin....... My entire face shed 2 layers. Great tip, use a small hand held electrical fan the entire time-- you barely feel any burning sensation... BTW, I have 4 layers applied around my mouth, neck, forehead, and chest...

Ulta does facial and they have a renewing peel but it's not a peel that has your face peeling off. So there is no down time. You get 3 sessions and it's $48.

They don't slap the same exact thing on everyone. They talk to you about skin type, worries and everything. They study for this and you should check certification and licenses of any place u go. There are different levels of the peels so don't be afraid to look into it

I think you do a great job documenting your peel process. I've struggled with acne since a teen, that's what got me into doing makeup. Anyway, I always do home glycolic peels, and recently did a TCA peel. It helped alot with my acne scars and I am sure after 3 I will be pretty happy. As far as my improvement on acne, I have been using Retin-A Micro every other day. I use a gentle face wash, and switch off on different moisturizers and face oils. But my foundations are always oil free. Sunblock is a must. Aztec clay mask once a week as well. Those are just a few of the things that have helped me.

Hi, I would like to suggest using castor oil as a moisturizer. Castor oil has been the best for my acne prone skin. Also, a turmeric mask is great for hyperpigmentation.

Hi, I had a Glycolic peel back in 2008 it was like your results crazy skin peeling. Now i do it one time a year, thats defiantly the best thing for people of color with blemishes. After the first time your skin gets used to it. I started at 5% now i go fr don't do it to much. Your skin needs to recover and you will be micro ex foliating even months after and don't forget, Sun screen even on a distilled de-ionized water, 50/50 gives me 35%.... I have done extensive research on this peel so or 35%, I try 70% on small dots on my face so its more controllable... Its very expensive here in the UK so i mix it myself with 70% Glycolic andi don't mess up my face.... I am very happy i found a way to get rid of my scars, The bonus is wrinkles as well, win win....lol.... Anyways it looks good, you need more but remembe cloudy day also moisturize.......
