Beautiful boat Catherine. What a life change for you all! I remember being your Alpha-H rep all those years ago on the Gold Coast, and look at you now, fantastic. We purchased a boat 2 years ago, a Nautitech 46 open and have been sailing around the Whitsundays, it’s such a good training ground as we had never sailed before, the sailing is pretty easy to get the hang of, it’s everything else on the boat that takes the learning, baby steps…..We also have a George and Harry, fair winds to you. X
Oh wow! Hey Paula! Lovely to hear from you. Hopefully we one day we can meet up on the water . This lifestyle is pretty amazing isn’t it. Fair winds to you, George and Harry!
I just love the life you’ve chosen and even more so the healthy environment you’re creating for your children. I’m a South African living on the Costa del Sol. I often find myself in one of the marinas gazing at boars sipping something cool. Who know maybe I spot you guys. I will say hi. Congratulations on a fine choice of yacht and many safe journeys and experiences.
Thanks so much for your kind message, we are very grateful for this opportunity as a family. absolutely say hi if you see us! Thanks for your well wishes and for watching our videos, Catherine
Very exciting adventure for you all. When do you post new videos? I must have missed the video where you posted when they come out and the logistics of where you'll be based and if you'll be working on board. Thank You! Claudie/Texas
Hi thanks for watching and your comment. We post every Wednesday around midday Australian time. (AEST GMT+10:00) I'm sorry that you missed a video, if you subscribe and hit the bell you will be notified when a new video is available. Thanks again, Catherine
Considering all the lifestyle changes, etc, the boys are very well behaved/polite, not tired & cranky, perhaps the magic of editing. The "About" page also isn't filled in, who, what, where & how, etc, would be nice. No idea timeline, but trust all is going well.
Such a nice boat, although I always have my concerns about the placement of the navigation station. Looking forward to watching your adventures, Hi from NZ 😊
Hey, thanks for watching! This was one of our concerns only because when we were researching this is what the sailing community were saying. We have just got used to it and we dont know any different so cant say our opinion on what is a better option, sorry. thanks for watching our channel and following along. we really appreciate it, Catherine
Yes, we had initially selected it but removed the option. mainly just to try and reduce the non-essential costs. It is something we can add at a later date but we're managing without it. Thanks for watching and sending us a message, Catherine
There is always a tension between sailing ability and comfort, especially with cats, and when your boat is also your family home comfort is important but FPs are designed for charter and at best island hopping. The superstructure is so high that seriously it reduces the mainsail size and that's your power under sail. It also creates a superstructure that in high wind is going to be super scary. Add to that the width of the hulls and the weight of the comfort adding equipment and you've really got a slow boat to China. I would happily sail the Caribbean or Med in this boat but honestly, I wouldn't want to cross an ocean.
Hey thanks for your comment, comfort onboard is important to us as a family, over speed or racing performance, but safety is definitely above both. We do plan to cross oceans in our boat after a good few years in the med once our confidence and skills improve, but for the next few years its very slow and safe med sailing while we get more confident , improve our skills , and get to know the boat. Interesting to hear your thoughts, thanks for sharing them. And thanks for watching, Catherine
Very, very nice boat and i am sure you will make amazing memories. If you start to attract idiotic comments, I understand there are ways of muting people so that they can still comment and they can still see their comments - but no one else can. Good luck on your future adventures.
Hey, thanks for your message, I totally agree with you. We've bought some mics for recording so this should improve. I'm new to filming and editing, so I really appreciate feedback that can help me improve. thanks for watching and sending me your thoughts, Catherine
Weeeeeeeee. So exciting. Loved the tour of the boat and coming along the journey ❤❤

Stunning! Opted no dishwasher?
Yes, we had initially selected it but removed the option. mainly just to try and reduce the non-essential costs. It is something we can add at a later date but we're managing without it. Thanks for watching and sending us a message, Catherine
Grog is for when you do the naming party time
Its definately all gone now lol!

They've had two weeks of sailing instructions, they know what they're doing.
Rubbish. This will cross the Atlantic in perfect safety and great comfort. Envy is a truly visible poison.

Thank you.. one day we hope to cross oceans in our home :) What a dream
you have to start somewhere, right?
Not much storage when you store all the cushions on the ocean . ?
so true, when those cushions get stored away they do take up a bit of space! But we use them daily so all good. Thanks for watching!
its alright walking around the boat but you need to get rid of those clodhoppers ,apart from that its georgeous
Hey, thanks for your feedback, we have had some sound issues but promise this will get better. thanks for watching , Catherine
Do you have a water maker?
yes we definitely do! it makes life on the water so much easier, and keeps us away from marinas a bit longer. :)
Very, very nice boat and i am sure you will make amazing memories. If you start to attract idiotic comments, I understand there are ways of muting people so that they can still comment and they can still see their comments - but no one else can. Good luck on your future adventures.
Thanks, I'm still learning how youtube works and this may be a great option. Appreciate your message and help, Catherine
No dishwasher?🤔
no, we had planned to have it, but at the final stage removed the option. So far we've coped fine without it. Thanks for watching, Catherine
Now you can learn all the boat terms...😮 its a galley, a head. You go down below and the windows are hatches... cabins, not bedrooms... 😂
hahaha, yes the sailing language!!
You need a better mic! Very poor quality sound. Voiceovers are fine. Good luck with the new boat! 😊
Hey, thanks for your message, I totally agree with you. We've bought some mics for recording so this should improve. I'm new to filming and editing, so I really appreciate feedback that can help me improve. thanks for watching and sending me your thoughts, Catherine
What ,no 'HH' clothing in this video.
Its coming later lol
