I am right now in Puerto Morelos ( first travel in 2 years), I came here based on Vagabond recommendation few months ago. We first went to Tulum, then Playa del Carmen, each a bit different and Puerto Morelos is the best! Love the beach side of town especially! Thank you Vagabond! I had a chance to ‘test’ your recommendation and it it did not disappoint!
another excellent and informative vlog as usual - i spent 3 mos in san juan in the winter of 2018 and really liked it, very pretty, full of young surfers, great fresh cheap fish caught the same day (you know if qiang likes it it's good), friendly, happy people, gracias amigos!

Great Video - I was there August for a month and loved it. Now I have a great video to share with my family and friends who ask me about my stay! The country is very well run. Was never looked at twice for being a gringo, nor was I charged Gringo prices anywhere, including taxis, bars. No beggars, or hookers, or people trying to sell me illegal substances. Tree House is a great find, they rent nice Cabins for $80 per person, I think food is included. There beer is cheap and tastes good.

I think I crossed paths with you guys . Were you at the Pali on Ometepe Island on Saturday night 11/13. I was with a small group getting supplies for a night in the jungle. I was staying in San Juan Del Sur and actually at lunch at the exact table you were sitting at in the mercado. That was in the 12th I think Samll workd.

No pension, no health insurance at the moment. Why do I still feel like I do not have enough money? I am afraid to walk away. San Juan del sur looks amazing. Very similar to Samara Costa Rica.
Yes. Just take a bus to the border and walk through immigration. Then catch a bus on the other side. It is how to slow travel the world cheaply. Only take flights when necessary. Plus you see so much more of a country by not flying over it.

Great video! I was there 20 years ago. You are right when you mentioned it looks a little like Mexico. When you mentioned it in the beginning of the video, that beachfront area looks just like Puerto Vallarta. And the shot where the local church with the park benches totally reminded me of Cancun. Not the tourist hotel district part of Cancun, but the local part where the locals live

Any unlocked $300 Samsung or other Android will do. iPhones also work but but I stay away from them because I break my cell phone at least once a year and I don't want to pay $1000 each time.

I see you guys have gone top end on accommodation and it is still reasonable. I spent some time there in the 80"s it was a bit wild then but a great place to visit. My husband is gringo he doesn’t speak Spanish, but he loves Nicaragua we go twice a year. Nicaragua is a safe place as long as you don’t say anything or have any opinion against the government.

A lot of bloodshed that people in the United States has no clue it happened. There’s a Russian Mi-24 helicopter shot down in the jungle. I saw polaroid pictures of it.

Such a beautiful country as beautiful as Costa Rica and 1/3 of the price. It's a shame the government there sucks.

My husband is gringo he doesn’t speak Spanish, but he loves Nicaragua we go twice a year. Nicaragua is a safe place as long as you don’t say anything or have any opinion against the government.
