HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 16 мар 2024
- This is Project C and it’s falling apart. It’s been empty for over 10 years, it’s been vandalized, there’s no electrics, there’s a wasp infestation, ceilings are falling down and it’s basically a jungle of ruins.
I will be doing a full before and after house flip series for this house. In Episode 1, join me for the shocking before walkthrough of the house.
This is a series showing the entire renovation of Project C - episodes are filmed and released in real time as the renovation takes place.
Follow the journey - with inspiration, tips and advice along the way.

You need a construction company for fiłps
Do you sell shares in your company or allow individuals to invest in your projects?
been subscribed.
Hi Steve.
Just subscribed...great work.
Just wondering...do you guys offer this as a service ?
Would you guys come out to renovate my property?
Love your work
The reason I like this guy’s videos is because he’s honest and tells you everything and the purchase price and the renovation cost.
the window on top of the door is called a transom window it's purpose is to let light enter the hall way
Makes sense, ty
They also allow airflow through the house when open, whilst still maintaining privacy with the doors closed.
i concur
Thanks for that. I live in the area and there is a transom window between one bedroom and the corridor, obviously to let light into the dark corridor. It works.
We have the same in many UK homes and it is too light come through onto landing and depending on where the bathroom is it lets light shine down the stairs

I just wanna highlight that your presenting has improved so much. Voice control, projection and interaction with the camera 🤌🏾 looking forward to the day this goes on Showmax!
Thank you! These are the comments that keep me going! 🙏
I can see the potential here. Can't wait for the renovated reveal in a few weeks
A few weeks? That's extremely optimistic. More like a few months
Crazy!! I actually know the previous family staying in the house! The place is almost unrecognisable. All and all a great find though 🙌🏻
This house is a mess, even the neighbours will be happy to see this mess being worked on , its a scary mess
Lol, well he did do the flip on the house next door so he will know what he is getting himself into
This house reminds me of our house we bought recently. We had to redo EVERYTHING and nothing prepared me for the amount of money that was going to be needed😮. Now we have a house that looks completely different. This one looks like it’s gonna be an exciting one, can’t wait for more videos.
Project C is going to be amazing, can't wait to watch every episode. Flipping Johanesburg should be on DSTV, Netflix, and Showmax!
Love how you share such great info to encourage others to get flipping!
I can’t wait for the final reveal, please run a competition to flip a subscriber’s house..😂 my house needs your skills 👌👌
Watching from 🇸🇦 Saidi Arabia
At least this wasn't an infomercial episode !!! Lots of potential.
Not sure about the "flipping journey" of others. You are at the culmination of all your experience - buying, finance, building, repairing, replacing, plumbing, electrical, work crews, legal, market conditions...and a cash cushion. Very few wannabe flippers have many (or any) or these acquired skills which is why only a few consistently make money. Love the channel and waiting for the final (part 6) your own home.
That 'fanlight' is a standard design feature in older homes - described as 'borrowed light', intended to borrow light from a windowed room to light internal passages etc.
Older homes also swing doors to conceal private spaces making passages less illuminated
Not to nitpick but so many people make the mistake of saying, "DB board". DB stands for Distribution Board. So why say, "distribution board board"? Otherwise keep doing what you obviously do well. 👍😁❤️
Loving the new challenge. Can't wait to see the progress. Was thinking would you ever take up the challenge of flipping a house in each province. Showing fellow SA the difference in each province. Just a crazy idea 😅. I am from Cape Town and I love your RUclips channel It is really inspiring and relatable. Thank you so much for all the tips and tricks. What to look out for 💯
His channel is called Flipping Johannesburg. Also there's no value to Flipping houses in Cape Town for instance. High purchase price, very small, tiny square meterage
You make ZA a better place to live
Hey Steve,
Huge fan of your videos! I was thinking, if you ever considered expanding the operation to tackle multiple homes at once, I might be a perfect fit.
I'm a qualified applied mathematician/data scientist based in Johannesburg and I'm on the hunt for a side hustle that aligns with my interests. Honestly, seeing the impact these renovations have is truly inspiring. I believe with a well-organized team, we could pump out many more of these videos on a regular basis.
Just throwing it out there! Would love to chat and see if there could be a way to collaborate.
Best,
V
Wow, I am happy to find such a channel in South Africa. Keep up the good work
One of my fav series. Keep it going
Yay, a new project. Really looking forward to this AND the finished tour of your home as promised. 😀
Oh we have transom windows in our house too. They let light in, some even actually open, like in my house they can open up to let air it from the passages while I'm in the safety and privacy of my room. They're very handy and nostalgic in the case of my house as it is an older house, they're above every door and I love them!!!, Love from Zim❤❤❤
The potential is there, blowing the budget is inevitable from what I can see...I'm tuned in until the final episode of this flip
My wife and I love this content can't wait to see what this house is going to look like, your content gives us so many ideas and insight into a business that we want to venture in.. Keep it up great work great channel 🎉🎉🎉
The more run down the house is, the more scrumptious the flip will be.
Great floor plan
it's my dream to do stuff like this, seeing this made me so happy especially because its so close to home.
Transom windows in hallways help with airflow ... especially during heating season in cold climates (like here in Michigan).
I am so excited. I am forcing my poor husband to watch with me 😀😀
Imagine my delight when clicking to the vid and hearing that familiar lekker Joburg accent. Easy sub. Well done so far and keep it up. Really enjoy the videos I've watched thus far, very relatable content.
Super cool! Can't wait to see the final product. All the best!
Hi, as an architect, I enjoy watching your content. Interesting question posed. The fanlight above a door to a passage or any room is to allow natural light into these usual dark and gloomy passages. However, moreover than just natural light, many of these proposed fan lights were constructed to allow cross ventilation for a room enabling passive air exchange in the space. Therefore, this allowed for that, especially in rooms where only 1 window is proposed
I can't wait for the next episode
You’re really called to do this because when i look at this house I just think 🤢🤕😷. I cant wait to see you work your magic on this project as you always do.
800k for 1000m² in my eyes is an absolute bargain. Great find
Did you know there is a Johannesburg, Michigan USA? I'm from there! Glad I found your channel.
Looking forward on seeing you on next one.
Wow! This is awesome ❤
Nice..cant wait for the start of this project
Great find. Can't wait to see the process
Excited for the flip 😊
My project A looked exactly like this, the green and white lol, seems to be a signature in Welties
Window above the door is a transom. Allows light into the room when door is in closed position
Can’t wait to see the progress
Absolutely love the work that you do. Keep doing what you are doing.
Super excited to see the transformation.
Good luck with the flip Steve, I’m a Jozi boy watching from the UK. Love your work pal and looking forward to the progress on your latest project.
Looking forward to seeing the progress. If i can make a suggestion for you to cover a series for new owners who want to renovate or do budget diy friendly projects but don't know where to start. I watch your videos for inspiration and ideas and want to do so much but have no idea where to start.
This one is gonna blow the budget😬🔥🔥🔥but will be worth it for sure🤌😌steve please wear a mask in those smelly rooms we dont want you getting sick😔
Thank you it was very informative!
Awesome! Can't wait for the next episode. Greetings all the way from Worcester, Western Cape.
This is very exciting😅, I can't wait to see the process and final result!!!
Love this channel. It gave me so much inspo to renovate my home 🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤

I'm excited about Project C. I can't wait to see the final product.
Can't wait for episode 2 of this project
Can't wait to see how this turns out
Your content is very informative
Oh my God
Impatiently waitinggggggggg 😂😂😂
I am so excited for this project i want to start this journey ❤
Looking forward to seeing what you do.
Can't wait to see the transformation!
Thank you! Love your work 👌🏽👌🏽
I cant wait for the next episode of this
I'm fairly sure those tiles were removed, there's adhesive all over the walls and some tiles are broken. Copper theft was a massive issue all over the world about ten years ago, it's no longer as bad as it used to be.
Wishing you the very best with this project China. I'm sure it will look so lekker when done.
I cannot wait to see this one🙌🏽🔥
Can't wait for the next episode 😢
Tops..cant wait
Please show more videos. Waiting just for your videos
I can't wait ☺️
I am learning, when money allows( by God’s grace) I'll do this as well. I see many houses that need a bit of love so they can sell
There is no potential here but a definite success. You are correct in wanting to create an open plan between the kitchen, lounge, etc. It would be interesting to see the final render on this. I like this type of neighbourhoods, slightly aged but can be modernised massively, and you have 1000sqm to play with... pretty much a kid in a candy-shop scenario
Good Luck, there will be stress, but the fullfillment far outweighs it
Waiting patiently
I really enjoy watching your videos and expierences, especially seeing this part of SA that Google Maps/Earth doesn't quite manage to help me with my curiosity when I get nostalgic and want to see how far things have come and also just to see SA again. I left in 01 from Randburg. Just wanted to thank you for the time you take to make these videos and sharing your livelihood and passions with us.
I believe those windows at the top of the doors ALSO allow for the removal of hot air during the warmer months as hot air rises. If you closed the door it creates a pressure difference resulting in the removal of the hot air. Basically a manual HVAC system and as @priscillamt2476 mentioned it is used for allowing light into a space.
Oh we have transom windows in our house too. They let light in, some even actually open, like in my house they can open to let air it from the passages while I'm in the safety and privacy of my room. They're very handy and nostalgic in the case of my house, they're above every room inside my house and I love them!!!
Awesome
This is my suburb. I didn't realise there were any abandoned houses here. Interested to see what you end up doing with it.
Just came here to like the video, I'll watch it later;)
That was a short episode 😩
Wow literally up the road from me.
Pomona moble road next to Triton 277. Very huge house abandoned and bushes everywhere
amazing 👌👌 how were you able to track the old owners?
watching from Holland . Like the flips . Amazed by the " low " purchase price in comparison to my country . This would buy me a parking space/ garagebox at best . good luck I wil keep watching
Thank you for tuning in!
Excelente!!
🙌🏽🙏🏽
You should see some of the properties in Randburg
7:37 These glazed doors offer the addition of light while maintaining a level of privacy that you may require for bedrooms and bathrooms.
Love you content! How much more work do you add to you flip filming everything? In my opinion that entrance wall should go. Much nicer to feel that space as you walk through the door
Leave that one wall. Nice for photos, decorations, bk case.
We are here
Definitely want to see how much you will sell it for in this area. Good luck
We need more videos!!
Ep 2 is airing this month!
Arrived!!
Waiting for thee second Episode..
It’s a matter of days…
We've been waiting 😢😢
