The old man just lost control of his live and did not know how or where to start, he just needed someone to help him gaining control again. Thanks for that.
would be even better if he makes videos from initial design changes with architects to show the behind the scenes process before starting the project, but still very good quality show he has, would recommend to people to watch who wants to get into the reno space
@@hanlimarais8235 I've seen the media and stereotypes. South Africa is one of the most beautiful places in the world. And like any other country it has its challenges and dangers.

There is no doubt you are expert in what you do. Where you are unique is the care, the passion and the pride you take in the finished product. You are thorough in your reporting and transparent in costs and sales price. A try gentleman among thieves. So delighted to find your channel. South Africa will always have a special place in my heart. If you could just name the districts so I know where I am, as it was 33 years ago I left and its lovely to see how the city has developed. Great project Steve. You took us on the house tour, small as it was, some of us may get lost in the maze. Suggestion : do a simple floor layout plan, even a hand sketched one, show it to the viewers then take us on the house tour. And on job completion, another simple sketch floor layout plan. Put them side by side, you already have a before and after layout. How about that Steve. Good job Steve. 👏
Great show! But please can you make sure your workers have hand gloves, safety shoes, masks for the dust ( the guy cleaning the sewer without wearing gloves or a shirt!😵 What if he gets sick?), and proper tools so you don't burst water pipes like what happened in the last video where the house sold for 3million. Maybe you can use equipment to check where the water pipes are, also consider having the workers wear branded work suits to promote your brand and (have a health and safety file on site).... All the best!
So glad I found your video, I live in cape Town currently and my parents are in joburg, in the next few weeks I'm meeting with the ceo of rawsons for an interview to become a real estate agent, property ownership and renting has been a long time goal and dream of mine and I can't wait to see what more you have to offer!
In america we have a product called "zinsser primer". It is a paint primer that blocks stains as well as odors so they dont seep through new paint. You could use that on the ceiling and walls where those stains were coming through.
Loving your videos! I am excited to see how your channel will evolve as it grows, which it undoubtably will if you continue pushing this great content! If I may make a small suggestion, perhaps rather film and export in 30fps rather than 24. I think for your type of videos it will suit them better. All the best and looking forward to your next one!
This is just too amazing bru... Your team and your expertise in transforming a house is astonishing. You definitely need to be on the Home Channel too. Avi in South Africa Durban
I love these! I’m 19 years old, and I want to do this for fun in my life, help me so much to see more that what I can see in a house even at his worst! The only Thiri would add is some USA pricing in small so I can convert is easier but still love these! Keep it up my man
I doubt US pricing would be of any use to you . Market prices, material prices and labor prices are so vastly different between SA and the US . There I think you have to do your own homework.
Very cool Steve, glad to see you've branched from your old man's real estate business and incorporated it to help you with your own goals and dreams. Take care , from a fellow former De La Salle student.
Wow another impressive flip, I love yr passion /drive. Going out of your way to help John, your team I could go on. I'm glad I came across your channel n I hope will see u in our TV screen. The knowledge u impart on us greatly appreciated🙌
wonderful delivery on the project, quick decision making, making use of what was usable, dressing the result well, clean and sharp results - No extraordinary reason for the success you achieved. Basics!!!
I really hope you keep putting renovations out on this channel! I loved the last one and I loved this one. Excited for the next! Great work with the house and the quality of the video
This is so good. You helped the previous buyer well beyond what anyone else would’ve, you didn’t go over budget and it looks stellar, AND you got the best feedback from the buyer! 10/10
Just watched your video, really enjoyed the before & after,. It was awesome that you helped the gentleman find his new home, what a lovely thing to do...... big 👍up from Scotland.... looking forward to watching more of your videos!
Wow!.. You are good at what you do.. I'm so glad that thre is SA videos, content on this kind of shows..Cant wait to see more.! Keep up the great work my friend.
This is amazing content. So glad I discovered this, you are doing good work Suggestion: as you are doing house transformations, take more footage of the individual rooms and post it as seperate content. You would produce much more videos and get more return on your projects. Squeeze out everything you can, I would definitely love to see that.
Good job man, I like your honesty. In Uganda most filipers just list insane prices mostly 3 times the obvious price. Mostly in US dollars for a third world land locked country.
Nice! The only thing is; couldn't that weird shower space you removed been turned into a laundry closet? like where you have the washing machine and dryer hookups? (stacked) that way you make use of the existing plumbing. Then the space you reserved in the kitchen is reserved for the dishwasher? I'm finding as Africa catches up there's need for spaces for all these appliances and they were never considered before.
@@vik4741 I'm aware some houses do that if they have the additional space, I'm from up north. This one however, like most middle income to low income houses, didn't seem to have that space. The machine will be perfectly fine where it is allocated but it limits future options
I'm currently living in a run down shit hole in Westbrook KZN, that is on the market for 1.8 Million ZAR. It has a bit of a sea view but other than that, it's a dump. I'm stunned to see a whole house, newly renovated selling for the same price.
Magnificent Well Done ! Just have say that From where Im sitting , your level of security eg bars on windows and doors . electic fence on top of the wall It must be important but just shocking to someone who never lived with such a sense of general danger

stunning results, fits SA with outdoor colors all year round. Where I live its covered up with snow and ice for 5 months. monochrome interior not good.
I always thought that J'burg would be somewhat more expensive place to live...especially in those kind of neighbourhoods and houses. It's surprisingly cheap! just a view from a guy who lives in Germany...
DSTV/Multichoice needs to give this man a show man. All we see is overseas projects, this gives us real insight

Steve you doing an amazing job. Please don’t stop sharing.
I love the fact that you added a breakdown of cost. That at least gives us an idea when we want to renovate. Awesome job!
Electric fences on the high walls, our world is truly different. And around 20 k dollars for this renovation, extremely cheap !
Well done.

All that renovated for £15,000, amazing job and finish 😳😲.
In London this kinda finish would be upwards of £30,000.
I wanna to move to South Africa 🇿🇦

The workers would have to be shaggy dogs for him to care that much.
I also loved to see some interviews with the hard workers :)
In America, the shirt thing would still be a problem, but the sewer would be cleaned out with a pump truck. I have had mine cleaned out before.
