I know the pain of losing your home to fire. I share the previous owner's pain. Ours perished on Easter Sunday 2022 & again another fire broke out the following week & completely put our home in ashes. You really never expect something like that and being not insured because of financial constraints, just puts you down completely. You really thankful that no one got hurt, because a life is irreplaceable.

This house had so much potential. I'm so glad you chose it and made it spectacular. I'm American and renovations here are so different. Even the names for things are different even though we both speak English. I have a question about the security. This nice of a renovation in the states would only make sense in a nice area of town profit wise. However, adding a higher fence,and electric fencing there makes me wonder is this in a high crime neighborhood? It seems so extreme. In America, I've never seen electric fencing on a residential backyard. We use it for cattle farms and prisons. Haha.

And you wouldn't need burglar bars in a "safe neighborhood." unless installed by someone used to living in an area they needed them
South Africa as a whole is not safe, even our ' safer' areas have them installed. It's a precaution.
It could be in a safe neighbourhood but in SA, you just never know. So the safety measures are just a precautionary measure to not be caught slipping
