- Our second market offering in our LMG upper line! The RECCE LMG Lite.
This upper featuring a fluted 20" barrel, Riflespeed Gas Control with our Gas Tube Heat sink, and Midwest industries NightFighter hand guard.
Check it out at Redrighthandllc.com.
Can this version be converted to a piston system?
Hey @redrighthandllc I know this is an older video, but if you use Midwest’s suppressor handguard that has the bigger inside diameter to fit 1.5” suppressors shouldn’t you be able to fit the heat sinks and still use the mlok?
Yes it its. We offer that rail and other large dia MLOK rails in our “Customized RECCE LMG” offering.
Compared to the inconel gas tubes, would the coil cooled gas tubes be superior?
Whats better, one that gets really hot but capable of reaching its melting point, or one thats actively cooling and distributing heat evenly? Everything has pros/cons, both are attempts to extend service life of a gas tube, and they both do it.
I can say in the 10k plus rounds fired, nearly all mag dumps, the gas tube on the RECCE LMG demo is still stainless and not discolored from heat stress. It's an extremely efficient way to actively protect the stainless gas tube.
Am I right in believing it fits all MLOK hand-guards?
This version doesn't have the barrel heat sinks. Most mlok rails are 1.3 inner diameter, the heat sinks will free float within but you wouldn't be able to run the mlok attachments, also you'd cook your hands being that close to the heat sinks. We have build Standard RECCE LMGs with Mloks for customers, custom ordered of course, and used mlok rails that would be more compatible, like the MK8 Geiselle Rails or MI Suppressor Rails.
Does it have cooling fins?
@John Smith Thanks man.
I was gonna get one , tell I seen there not chrome lined 😢
Well it's not really needed due to the nature of the Heat Sink system and the nitride barrels have been preforming extremely well, however, I do have plans to offer one with a CL barrel for the customers who just can't live without it. Stand by, should be a available option when we launch the new website ;)
@@redrighthandllc I'm in the market for a 16 inch, mid length, 4150 chrome lined, hbar cold hammer forged etc etc and a compass in the stock.....
@@jdirt1982 With market offering barrels, you cant have your cake and eat it to sadly. More often than not, you have to accept one or more wish list items to get to your desired end goal.
@@redrighthandllc so let me ask you this. Why doesn't anyone offer a chf 4150 chrome lined barrel ????? Please elaborate. the only one I found was a centurion socom with 203 cuts.... I'm also aware that I can't afford the ammo to shoot one of these out, but still I want what I want........
@@jdirt1982 Several companies still do. The process for chrome is an Additive process, so rifling has to be cut to over sized dimensions for the chrome to make up the final bore... It's not a cheap process or timely one.
Nitride is a non additive process that hardens the barrel to the same rockwell scale as chrome and cost 1/8th of Chrome does, also you make the barrels to dimension and get a very accurate barrel that took less time to produce and cost was lower by the newer process of nitride.
Can it fit a M203 onto it?
