Petite Ballerine is a story about Leda, a young ballerina from Zagreb. She has finished ballet school in Zagreb and now she is going to Stuttgart to study ballet at a prestigious ballet dance academy. The film also features Leda's ballet professor and former Croatian prima ballerina Ms. Mihaela Devald and the famous ballet choreographer Mr. Milko Sparemblek who at one time was the director of New York Metropolitan ballet opera (1971). They tell their story about ballet, about their ballet path, and what it takes to become a professional ballet dancer.
The film explores what it takes to be an artist and to be able to do what you want in spite of all the doubts, hardships, and fears. - Кино
This is what years of grueling, committed practice does for you: it makes things that are impossible for ordinary people like us look so easy and natural for her.
She not only deserves congratulations, she deserves our thanks for everything she gave up to be able to perform like this. Thank you.
Thank you for your wonderful comment :).
I agree completely. Ballet dancers give up so many years to being perfect. Amazing work, just simply beautiful.
Mr Sparemblek is a very interesting person. I recommend reading his Wikipedia entry. He does not elaborate on exactly how he went from the start of his university career to changing to ballet. He must have been, say, 18 years old, and his journey cannot have been easy. He would be a wonderful subject for a documentary. His ballet knowledge, memories and stories about the dancers and directors he has worked with would be fascinating.
Thank you for uploading the documentary to RUclips. I enjoyed it a great deal. Ms Devald's insights are profound and demonstrate care and concern for her young dancers. It is good to know that Leda is progressing well in her career. More on this ballet company, please!
Croatia..what a hidden little gem you are.
Leads arm movements are so beautiful!
I agree! She is now a part of the Sankt Petersburg Mikhailovsky Theater ballet house.
I went to see a ballet performance any years ago and became bored.....years later I see the athleticism, skill and beauty in ballet .
👍 thank you
This was a beautiful video. Thank you for sharing. Glad to see she is still dancing.
Thank you for watching :).
La passion amène à des choses inimaginables !

My best friend, OMG! So wonderful! I really love this! Thank you so much!
Qualcuno sempre solo qualcuno avverbio troppo indefinito.....soprattutto dopo i 70 anni!
I wish I’d done ballet as a child, I was so shy though😢
Ballerinas are so damn beautiful
No not all of them.
Excellent.
Thank you :)
Quelqu'un peut-il me dire des épisodes d'une série ou d'un film où une fille a un plâtre au nez ?
nice
Does anyone know what she's doing in 2022?
Yes! She is a ballet dancer in St. Petersburg at the famous Mikhailovsky theatre. The first and only Croatian ballet dancer to be a part of that ensamble.
Tutto ha un limite!
De ce mergı pe varfurı tot tımpul?

Mi rendo conto a 70 anni che la Russia che ho sognato non esiste!
Can’t stand that sleeping beauty variation. Ugh. Enjoyed documentary though. Thankyou.
