We put a LimbSaver recoil pad on our coachgun, it really makes a difference...we own the same exact one, with the single trigger, and it is HD option number one...even today, with all the snark out here, nothing screams hurt coming like looking at the wrong end of a double barrel...I honestly doubt the second shell would ever be needed, heck, often enough the threat of the first shell will change minds...single shot and double barrel shotguns have a long history of home defense, simplicity and reliability are virtues...
I own 4 Stoeger shotguns. Their Double Defense O/U, their Double Defense Side by Side, their 12 ga AA wood Supreme Nickel plated Coach gun with double triggers, and their standard 20 ga Coach with a single trigger. I love them all.
I have been wanting the Double defense over/under shotgun since before Covid but everytime I inquire about it, it was always out of stock. I eventually purchased several Double barrell bolt on rails from Amazon and Ebay and added them on to my Double barrell shotguns. I couldn't be more happier with the add on bolt on rails.
A superimposed (minus the gunwoke rails and other fooferaw) is slender enough to conceal in a very narrow spot, maybe even a hollow-core interior door.
My Stoeger side by side came with a small rail under the barrels which I mounted a light on. I also installed a LimbSaver recoil pad. While I wouldn’t mind having the over/under Double Defense I’m happy with my Coach Gun!👍👍
I dont understand why anyone would make a break action shotgun without ejectors. I dont like that automatic safety either but you can disable it if you have a little gunsmithing knowledge. Someone has probably made a youtube video about how to do it.

Side by side, thx. That action needs less opening up in order to be loaded again

Did you change the name of your channel? Ive noticed other channels with new names.
Thanks for the video.
I love my stage coach! Now I need that double defense
Extractors always extract, ejectors sometimes won't eject.
Well said
Thank you
I cant think of manufacturer off top of my head but another company makes it with ejectors.

For the coach gun the major market is Cowboy Action Shooting where ejectors are not allowed.
I use barrel chamber adapters in mine. Wouldn't really work with ejectors.
More reliable and when you break open the action, jank the gun backwards and the shells will pop out
Love the double defense.
👍👍Thanks Dan, If the coach gun had a recoil pad I’d go with it but as they are I would take the double defense.
I would take either one, but the side by side would be the first 1.
Side by side
