The first pair of Purdeys, sometimes called l feel unkindly "cripple stocks," can sometimes have been made for shooters who lost an eye and were only able to shoot from their non dominant eye . It kept those who had come home from the wars shooting in normal life.
Thanks to Holts and to yourself for sharing your passion and knowledge. You take the time to discuss the aesthetics of the various sporting arms on offer.
FASCINATING HOLTZ! Thanks for sharing all these Moments with your Access to the preview! Can't wait to have a look AT what you bid with success! Make you a merry Xmas! God bless you Monsieur Jonny. Happy Hollydays to Come !
All the guns on display are great. 22:16 This MTs-7 (МЦ-7) is a very good gun.. there is also an MTs-9(МЦ-9) sideflint.. vertical arrangement of trunks.MTs-109.(МЦ-109). this is the best thing ever produced in the USSR. 35:30 😮
I could watch videos of wonderful old sporting arms all day! Appreciate you doing these! Fantastic and a little sad these incredible heirlooms are being auctioned off but wonderful that they are still out there to be enjoyed! ❤️👍🏼👍🏼
George Jeffries of Norwich had a son 'George Lincoln Jeffries' who went to Birmingham and joined BSA where he made the Lincoln Jeffries air rifle. He also made revolvers etc
Had an Absolutely fantastic time my friend,😊 really loved the education you have give me... Just a beautiful place to stand and even look never mind touch such beauty and history 😉👍❤️❤️❤️❤️🇬🇧fantastic
Just bought my first shotgun 3 months ago and had my first clay shoot and loved it , after watching this makes me want to buy another safe to buy more , not just for shooting but for the art of gun making
I enjoy all of your videos but must say the Holts ones are probably my favourites. The guns are beautiful and the presentation excellent - not an "umm", "ah" or "like" to be heard :)
Hi Jonny, I'm a big fan of your channel and appreciate all the valuable insights you share about shotguns. I was wondering if you could help me with a question: Is there an over/under shotgun you would recommend that has a similar geometry to the Beretta 1301 Comp? I'm particularly interested in something that feels alike in terms of balance and fit. Thanks in advance for your thoughts, and keep up the great work Best regards, Alex
Quoting estimates rather than the price the winner of a lot will actually pay is unnecessarily misleading. It's not hard to understand that auction houses have people to pay, premises to maintain, and profits to pursue that aren't covered by raw bidding, but to pretend all that won't cost the customer a significant extra outlay is to leave essential information unsaid. After all, you wouldn't review new guns and give the trade price instead of the ticket price.
I am afraid I'm out , when they are charging £300 commission on the sale of a £1200 shotgun its time to wake up , that's twelve hundred not twelve thousand !! not even going to watch the video and sorry but thumbs down.
I really love these Holts videos thanks for taking us along 🇨🇦

3.34 the plug from the butt. My wife was in hysterics. Never knew TGS did smutty comedic content. Keep up the fab work in all seriousness ;)
The first take of that was slightly more inappropriate!
I was wondering what they get up to while out shooting !!! 😂 Sounds like a happening sport......
Holts is a great place .
Kid in a sweet shop stuff

I'm so thankful i don't have access to auctions like that, i'd be living in a tent with one hell of a gun room attached
Thank you for the educational tour, I appreciate your insight into the past.

That is beautiful. I always like the Holt's tour videos.
got a nice CZ 537 in 7x57 couple of years ago from HOLTS via Suburban Guns in Cape Town. Nice to have something unique.
I always love seeing the holts videos. Great to see big Mike in there too.
What a nice few moments reviewing those old soldiers. Beautiful art.
Some interesting finds in this auction. Great video. Thanks for sharing
I was hoping to see this before the auction goes live in a couple of days, thank you so much. Great video

Are we at holts or have we just watched a tour of Johnny’s gun safe 😂 great content as always.
Please do more Holts gunroom content.
Love the Holts vids, just avoided bidding in the past due to the additional vat and buyers premium that makes reasonable prices too expensive.
Been waiting for this
OMG! Lot no 1666 is my favourite, so beautiful, any one know it has been sold?
Mouthwatering
Great video, any chance more rifles can be reviewed?
Westley Richards for the win!
That IMBEL made FAL is 😚👌
A straight pull IMBEL. That made me 😢.
How many guns did you hit while swinging those barrels around??

Hi….
why haven't there been so many hunting videos this autumn? 🤷♂️
Is there an online site where you can see the over and under in the photos that will be up for auction?
I might actually buy a gun if they put a filter for left hand cast, I can never be bothered sifting through all the lot descriptions!
I just got a login to this auction, but im unclear about how to get them to the US.
There's some advice on export to USA in this video. Don't think it will be cheap though.

My dad owns 2 shadow Indy’s one skeet gun and one sporter
I only watch these for the Shadow Indy's, 20:30 fellow weirdo's.
Johnny now sounds like the guy from “great houses and estates” instagram
That doubling shotgun was made for the market hunting days. Maybe the Arabs still hunt that way today.
How many did you buy?! 😂
Why is your hooter so red.
Oddly enough to me I'd on the slr.
I nearly turned off around 5mins in thinking why isn't he giving prices for the guns, that's what we want to hear also.
lots of shotgun in UK but not much anything else
Think you are on the wrong channel
Michelle must have lost a bet for the lipstick 💄 😂
Why do you call 1 gun a pair?
The bloke talking about the Boss double rifle, repeated himself a bit.
"bigger hands back in the day".........no I'm afraid it's quite the opposite.

I buy in German auctions. Final Costs ends up about 2.5-3 times bid. So $400-500 gun ends up 1000-1200$ to export to US.
@@bendean4255 20% import tax , i used to import guns from russia .... shhhh..... but this is to much commission full stop.
Everyone makes money on gun sales except the original owner! Gotta love government controlled economics! 👍🏼
