@@coleG112 For real. Reanimated is one of the, if not THE best remix album ever done in the history of remixing anything ever. And that got out in 2002 when almost everything was done by hardware; that in itself speaks to the talent of those dudes.

Nu Metal is the best thing to have happened to the metal scene ever, the amount of people that were introduced to Metal because of it was phenomenal, if it wasn't for Nu Metal I wouldn't be a 30 year old metal head that's discovered, appreciated and monetarily supported nearly every metal sub genre ever. The 00's was the best decade for music hands down.
I think the real responsible for the 30s yo metal is the 90s/2000s MTV, not exactly Nu Metal. But is a fair point.

I actually liked how nu-metal musicians all looked like cartoon characters IRL. No other genre is that diverse in looks.
The "They haven't made an album in like 10 years" line really hurt 😢 I just keep listening to the same albums from the 90's/00's over and over

Slipknot is a vapid band that never had the depth or talent to escape nu metal tho. Deftones left nu metal behind a long time ago. I don't even really associate them with the genre anymore. They truly were a rarity to come from that movement...cuz they're good lol
