You can tell the kid knows how to ACTUALLY practice! His left hand looks gorgeous, his bow control is incredible - this is so wonderful to see in such a young age!!!! He has such a beautiful sense of musicality :))) this totally made my day.
I would be happy hearing this from an esteemed professional cellist. This young fellow demonstrates mastery to a level beyond what I would consider virtuosic.
This is extraordinary. The facility with which he plays, the beautiful sound that he makes, and the evident joy that radiates from his face make this a memorable performance. Normally when a gifted child plays, one finds oneself saying "This is a great performance for his age," but in this case there's no need for such a qualification - it's just brilliant for any age. The only other occasion on which I felt this about a young person's performance was when the then twelve-year-old Evgeny Kissin played Chopin's First and Second Piano Concertos.
