Your videos are not having any super drone shots, glamour, no drop beats or girls..n they are still so interesting to watch. They are straight, truthful and simple :) LOVED THE WAY U EXPLAIN EVERY THING.
you can make lassi at home.. but won't get curd in ur country....but u can use yogurt. ... watch RUclips videos and prepare lassi at home. it takes 5 to 10mins.
Travelling in India I always stay in rooms for 150-500 RUPEES and I love my experience. When I pay 500 rupees for a bed in a dorm while in another place I paid 150 for a private single room with attached bathroom I feel like a looser :P And I always travel by a local bus in Goa. I love what you're doing. Keep it up!
Yeah I've had some pretty good rooms for 150-300 rupees. Depends a lot on the area and also how hard you look. This trip I have more of a budget fortunately, so I don't mind paying a little more.
This is just unbelievable. I am an Indian and i never saw a 150 Rupees room but if you found a room for 150 then it is a pretty cool thing. You are most welcome again in India. There are more spiritual places in India like Jaganath Puri in Puri, Orissa. Vrindavan, Uttar Pradesh. Golden Temple, Amritsar, Punjab. Heritage cities like Udaipur, Rajasthan and so many more.
u forgot tamilnadu land of temples, world famous temples like brihadhishwar temple, mahabalipuram shore temple and other historic places and famous hill station like ooty, kodaikanal, Aarkadu, nilgiris.
Actually a lot of people are happy in places where you can live economically. Unfortunately in countries like Australia US and UK everybody is always wanting to dig into your hard earned. So I am planning to live in a cheap place for a couple of years in the future and save money and most of all to live life stress free.
@Mister D that 300 is a myth because indian always shows less income than actual earnings and indian dont have to pay any taxes on 88% goods and few services. ( direct tax is zero for low earning people)
love the video. I was in south goa December to January. Mainly in chinchinim, paroda, and Margoa. My wifes family from there. Goa is s great place. Will go to Goa alot in the future.
Great to see that the people's of Goa are generous too. Loved the way you're learning the Hindi language. And most probably you are definitely a brave person of doing everything by your own . India is a place where if you explore by yourself is quite better than a hired guide or so like that. There's so many beautiful places in India, I gaurantee you, u'll never be dissappointed. As an Indian and on behalf of every Indian, I would love to see you more in India. Great job lad.
Gabe, not sure if I ever told you but I work for AT&T as a technician. I climb telephone poles and go into manholes to install/repair circuits, blah, blah, blah. I just came down from a pole to take a break and watched this video. I'm so jealous of you right now. Relaxing on a beach is what I need. I like many people get a limited number of vacation weeks each year. Unfortunately I have obligations and responsibilities that prevent me from joining you...for now. 😉 Keep up the good travel vids cause I need them...lol.
Secret is, its the illusion of having responsibilities (that nught not be meaningful to you) to keep up on that perpetuate the cycle of making money and not enjoying said money. People travel 6 mos or more out of the year on minimum wage, and they do so because they A. Travel in cheap places that are awesome and B. Have no commitments tying them into samsara
Watching this again after about 6 years, this is the first video I watched of yours and it inspired me to travel to India. Goa was amazing , thanks Gabes
Hey man, thanks for the video. We're heading to India in a couple of weeks. Looking forward to Goa. Hey, I noticed a lot of the time you don't actually use the straw that comes with your drinks. I'm sure you know of the global plastic problem - it'd be cool if you started asking for no straw. A good thing for you viewers to see too! Cheers :)
Yeah I hate that they always give you a straw. The thing is I always forget about it. I just order a drink and then here it comes with a straw again. And the truth is, knowing India, even if you asked them not to include a straw, between the communication barrier, forgetfulness and perhaps a different person making the drink than the one you talked to, by the time the drink is made and delivered to you, it would probably still have the straw in it. :) Just kinda the reality of India. But it does annoy me every time and feels like a waste. Anyway have an awesome time in India!
Sure, that's how you safe the world - asking for now straw... Maybe you should instead ask your - I assume one of the western - governments not to corrupt the third world countries so their governments start to care more about the people and the environment than about the profit of western companies
I envy you, bro! I am from India just about 1000 miles away from Goa but never got the chance to visit and now I am here in the US. I can see how happy you are with your trip and take whatever you get on your way. You explain about everything not just how to travel but all the practical scenarios travelers might face. People like you are my inspiration to travel around the world.
Travel With Mansoureh yeah it's much cheaper than any other country it's also different types of delicious food service out there.if you want to stay 3 star hotel it's cost will be 100 $ dollars for the week. If you want stay in a 5 ⭐️ hotel will be expensive it would be 150-200 US dollars for week. You can eat all day good food cost would be around 20 dollars. If you alcoholic it's also cheap like beer 🍻 cost 1litr. Bottle 2 dollars and good whiskey 🥃 bottle around 10 dollars.
Great video, Gabe. Goa reminds me of Bali, and the Gili Islands in Lombok. As always, I enjoy the part where you get from A to B, randomly meeting people with equal random sights and sounds. Keep up the good work.
Nice sandals. Believe it or not i use sandals to go anywhere including hiking or walking long trails in the desert mountains. They keep your feet cool and for me it's much easier to move around. I even use them for running - weird, i know, but heck, i don't have to be like everyone else. Lol
That's interesting. Sandals. Yeah I might get some for the summer, that's a good idea. Ah when you're hiking or running, do you get lots of stones and dirt debris stuck under your feet?
Awesome video again Gabriel, busses are a great way to get around, I was told by a local some years back that busses run all over india so if nothing else when you need to go somewhere there will always be a bus (or series of busses like you did) to get there, and its cheap. Though definitely for long distances the trains are better, if you can get a seat/bed :)
I just found your channel a few days ago and I'm SO glad I did. You are by far the best travel RUclipsr I've seen. You emanate such a genuine energy! I am heading to India for my first time very shortly and your videos have been so helpful to me, thank you! I wish you all the best with the rest of your travels and with your channel.
hi Reid, thanks a lot, super appreciated! Hope you have an amazing trip to India. I'm flying back home in a few days but it's been another great visit here. Happy trails.
Reid, what time of year are you going and how much time do you have? Based on that I can give you a few suggestions about your itinerary. One thing is that there isn't all that much to see in Pune, unless you're going there specifically for the Osho ashram. Also, those places are very spread out so getting between them is going to take a while, like days. And if you're going in the next few months then Goa and Hampi in the south will be brutally hot. Most of India will be extremely hot from April until August or so, all depending on where, and the monsoon rains will be happening between July and October, again depending on where in the country you are. So feel free to let me know when and how long you're going and I might be able to help you plan things out for the best experience.
I'm going in May for 4 weeks! It's not nearly enough time to do everything but I'm hoping to do 4 days or so in various places. I'm also planning on flying to Kathmandu for a few days if I can possibly squeeze it all in... Pune was mostly on the list as a destination point between being in Hampi/Hospet and seeing the Ajanta Caves but definitely subject to change.
The beach in south goa is more peacefull, clean and the water is also much clear. The adventure activities are mostly done at north goa beaches. Also lots of pubs in Goa. By the way, drinks in Goa are much cheaper compared to rest of India :)
You’re right. Kingfisher is a fairly crappy beer and it’s my least preferred too. But Kingfisher Ultra is surprisingly good. Do try that. When in Goa, I almost always go for Kings with the cute bottles. I live in Delhi, btw.
Plan to visit golden temple and jallaiwala bagh in Amritsar. Jallaiwala bagh is place in Amritsar where general o Dyer ordered open shooting in 1920. More than thousand people were killer who gathered there. You can still see the bullet marks on wall.
loving the videos, everytime I watch I end up on Skyscanner and booking.com dreaming of doing it. how do you choose ur next destination? keep up the good work.
Fascinating vlog! The folks seem friendly. Do you have to worry about your possessions? I have always loved Indian music ragas. Enjoy the awesome beach!
Gabriel Traveler Is it actually an issue? Of course crime can happen anywhere, but it seems to me that you are more likely to be scammed or pick pocketed in India, seems unlikely to experience a robbery.
Yes, pickpocketing or things being taken when you're not looking is the main concern. I assumed he was referring to possessions in your room/hut. If my hut wasn't secure I'd be a bit worried and take extra precautions somehow, makes it easier to enjoy your day out.
Gabriel your vlogs are so awesome man. Your laid back, relaxed, chilled out, serendipitous style to travelling is amazing & incredible. PS:- Love your Krishna T-Shirt. It's divine & trippy.
My wife & i had a couple of nights here last year on our trip to Goa, we stayed in a small town called Varca it was small and very quiet so the trip to Palolem was a refreshing break for a few days. I hired a kayak & went up the river estuary its at one side of Palolem beach, for a while it was a nice way to pass a couple of hours loads of wild life.
That looks amazing. Thank you! I love your videos. They inspire me to get out and see the world. I’m stuck in an office about 60-84 hrs a week and I really am longing for Living my life.
I know Goa from the Bourne Supremacy, there was a lot of filming done in Goa, including a big car chase. The Bourne trilogy is one of my favourite film situations of all time. The Bourne Identity, The Bourne Supremacy, and The Bourne Ultimatum. It's probably my third favourite movie situation of all time behind The Lord of the Rings trilogy and the Star Wars series. I also love Gosford Park which is the best period movie, and Little Dorrit, which is a Charles Dickens TV series adaptation and is my favourite TV series of all time. Everything film situation I've mentioned here is super awesomeness incorporated.
Hello Fello Traveler Gabriel, Your Vids r my Favorite on U-Tube!! Your like one of those Holy Men w/ their withered arms in devotion- yours w/ a camera. THANK YOU!!!
Love the 60p video Gabriel. GOA has so many bright colors it makes a really great looking video. I like seeing all the tropical plants while its snowing heavily here in the states. I think a good intro for the video would have been the scene at 10:43 Man I love that beach hut. I could stay there for a month and just relax.
Awesome, glad to hear it. That's exactly what I plan to do, stay here for maybe a month altogether (not in the same place but checking out a few different spots).
Outstanding! Looks totally relaxing. Nice overview of the area with the bus rides, too. I've been using a couple of Fun For Louis' recent travel videos (one in Slovenia and one in Berlin) to teach ESL to an evening class with immigrants & refugees. I think I am going to show them this one, too. We've been working on comparison-contrasts with Louis and Raya's videos of the same places, but this one would be nice juxtaposed for contrasts! I'll let you know if I do it and what they think!
Hi Gabe, good to see you are doing well. Miss your company. Can't believe the ordeal to get from Anjuna to Palolem :-D I'm in Hampi now, beautiful and magical place. Have a vlog ready but Wi-Fi here are from the 90's it seems :-D
Big Cheers from Portugal. Hi Gabriel, I have been following your channel over a few years and let me know that you are a great communicator. I'm following another travellers but they are to much RUclipsrs, to much special effects, etc ... and never show exactly what it is... with you we feel next to you... Thank you so much and keep up the good videos... I'd like to ask you if Palolem is perfect to take my family (My daughter, wife and me)? Also, which bungalows do you advice me in Palolem beach? Cheers 👍👍👍
Great, glad you're enjoying the videos. And yes I think that Palolem would be a perfect place to go with family, probably the best family-friendly beach in Goa.
Kingfisher is kind of a staple beer in India, and the only brand that you will get pretty much everywhere. Through the strong one is a bit bitter, the lagers are not too bad.
Your getting better with time Gabriel, loved the last one from Paris JM search. As to your story and filming. Been watching for long time "Years". Thanks much Mark from Oregon.
Great video man, this and your Nepal videos I really enjoy. Your Nepal videos actually helped me out a lot for when i went there last year! Keep 'em comin'
Hey Gabriel, mind visiting Eastern parts of India? You can travel to West Bengal (more specifically Kolkata) during September-October and enjoy the biggest festival of the Bengalis- Durga Puja. It's a four-day long festival and the West Bengal Tourism conducts beautiful rides all over the state. You can also visit Darjeeling (hill station), Bolpur-Santiniketan, Dooars, Baharampur- Hazarduari Palace, Sunderbans and many more places here. I am from Kolkata. Have been watching your videos for quite some time now. They are amazing. Love from India.
your videos are very informative and looks like it presents the correct picture. will regularly come back to Ur channel for future references, keep it up man.
Super cool video Gabriel. I just got back from Ecuador and Peru and used your previous videos as travel research.. I'm off to Tibet next, but maybe Goa after that. Keep up the good work!
i love these videos that show what a true level of quality is for under $50/day. the percent of Americans who would accept this type of travel is probably
The prices damn! I’m looking for an abroad in Japan program in GOA now! That’s cheap! Wait how cheap is regular India? Damn! It reminds me of being in China - I feasted [had epulose(s) ] everyday!
Im just reading some of the other peoples comments about your videos Gabriel and they say what i said too :-) Your very talented on how you make your videos, to good for RUclips, your own TV travel show next i think. :-)
goa where most tourists visit compared to the rest of india, i've heard the Portuguese influence is a plus for western visitors but didn't see that in this video.
I am a HUGE fan of your videos. I watch them all and learn so much from them. I am doing yoga training in dharmshala , India next year and training in Bali , ubud , Indonesia this year. your videos keep me motivated. . and teach me things before I actually travel . :)
Excellent, glad to hear it Diandra. Have you been to Dharamsala before? It's a great spot. I assume you mean McLeod Ganj which is the smaller town above Dharamsala and where most travelers stay. It's great, lots to explore around there.
I am so happy to hear that . I have not been to India before but my upcoming yoga training is said to be in dharmshala. Do you have any videos with that city in it ? I am thinking about going to Nepal after my training in India to hike the Himalayas. 😍
diandra williams Dharmsala is right up in the Himalaya mountains while Goa will offer you beaches. Two contrasting choices you have there. However Dharmsala will be cool and pleasant and in the midst of Buddhism.
Your videos are not having any super drone shots, glamour, no drop beats or girls..n they are still so interesting to watch. They are straight, truthful and simple :) LOVED THE WAY U EXPLAIN EVERY THING.
Excellent, glad to hear it, thanks.
if u want cheaper food in goa , instead of eating on shacks , try something on main road , ull get much cheaper food
p.s. this is advice from local 😉
WOW, then India is cheap should visit there soon
Travel With Mansoureh and rent a scooter too if u want to travel in goa with full freedom always bargain for scooter or hotels or souvenirs
ANISH SANKOW next year, ill be there 😊😊
You’ll also get diarrhoea
Rose Momlife diarrhea in Goa is impossible
Looks like paradise. The meal looked great and I'd love to try a lassi. Plenty lassies in Scotland, no lassis 😉
Lassis are awesome, lassies too!
+Stephen Nelson Where can you get them? I was there a month ago. Will definetly go there again!
Dieter Fischer wlcm.
you can make lassi at home.. but won't get curd in ur country....but u can use yogurt. ... watch RUclips videos and prepare lassi at home. it takes 5 to 10mins.
:D
Travelling in India I always stay in rooms for 150-500 RUPEES and I love my experience. When I pay 500 rupees for a bed in a dorm while in another place I paid 150 for a private single room with attached bathroom I feel like a looser :P

no way 150 is too low .. atleast anybody will ask 300-400
You seem happier in India than in other countries. Must have had a previous life there.
Patton Kirkpatrick most people are happy and relaxed there bc everyone is relaxed all the time there
he's just happy because it's so cheap here
Good
Yes because he is into Indian spirituality and written a book about it . It is cheap, friendly with great places and food ..people 👍😊
Actually a lot of people are happy in places where you can live economically. Unfortunately in countries like Australia US and UK everybody is always wanting to dig into your hard earned. So I am planning to live in a cheap place for a couple of years in the future and save money and most of all to live life stress free.
i think the information and advices are helpful to the indian travellers too... :)
Muhammed Yaseen yes it was informative for me
You are always very positive in all your videos. There is an element of good feel in all your videos. Great job.
I love indian people ,they always nice people ,very educate and happy people ! Prices are way better them USA!
@Mister D that 300 is a myth because indian always shows less income than actual earnings and indian dont have to pay any taxes on 88% goods and few services. ( direct tax is zero for low earning people)
Yeah, and only 22 hours to get there--what a deal.
love the video.
It was so cool to finally meet you ( Goa Palolem) you are our big inspiration!!! Keep travel. Adam & Monika

+joliton dias What do you mean by Indians visiting Goa. Goa is in India and not in Portugal.

Hey man, thanks for the video. We're heading to India in a couple of weeks. Looking forward to Goa.

Loving these videos Gabe! We are currently living in China and making videos too. India is high on our list! Great video as always.
LOVE india , love the people , love Goa …… we fly out on the 10th of november :)
I loved this video. Goa is not for everyone but it looks like the ultimate freedom lifestyle place
Looks beautiful and much cheaper than Europe
I think Goa IS for everyone ;)
Travel With Mansoureh yeah it's much cheaper than any other country it's also different types of delicious food service out there.if you want to stay 3 star hotel it's cost will be 100 $ dollars for the week. The food gets lot cheaper outside the shacks probably down by 50% and the fruit drinks by 30-40%
I feel that I know you personally after watching several of your
videos. Keep up the good work.. Thanks for a GREAT blog. I
subscribe.
A fun video especially if you love India like I do. Taking us on a swim at the end was priceless. Thanks. ( :

Bdw kudos to you for taking 4 buses, even as an Indian I wouldn't lol
What a beautiful place! Great info. thanks for sharing! :)

This video gave me some major deja vu, I followed the exact same path from Anjuna to Palolem last October. Very cool opening btw!
Trippy!
Beautiful beachside resort :)
I just found your channel a few days ago and I'm SO glad I did. You are by far the best travel RUclipsr I've seen. You emanate such a genuine energy! hi Reid, thanks a lot, super appreciated! Hope you have an amazing trip to India. I'm flying back home in a few days but it's been another great visit here. Happy trails.
Reid Hebert
Instaed of visiting Mumbai or Dehli, you should go to places like Goa, Kerela, North East India or even Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
Thank you for the tip! I'm hoping to do Goa, Pune, Varanasi, Jaipur, Agra, Hampi :) not positive yet but just a rough plan

Just do it! If you think to much then you will end up bailing..
Now that's perfect and 10 bucks right on the beach, wow!
Fascinating vlog! The folks seem friendly. Do you have to worry about your possessions? I have always loved Indian music ragas. Enjoy the awesome beach!
The beach hut here is actually pretty secure, so the stuff seems pretty safe, but oftentimes they aren't so secure.
Gabriel Traveler Is it actually an issue? Of course crime can happen anywhere, but it seems to me that you are more likely to be scammed or pick pocketed in India, seems unlikely to experience a robbery.

Coolness, thanks a lot. By the way the restaurant at the end of the video was called Sameer.
Ha...I'm gonna have to check it out the next time I go to Goa. Maybe they'll give me some discounts.
Goa is amazing and green.

I'm from India very well explained about pricing and stuff hope you enjoyed you tripe to goa
omg goa was never on my must see list until now 😀
Welcome to bhubaneswar.india . temple city of India
Love that that guy gave you a ride! Great timing like you said 😄
I know, that almost seemed planned eh? Perfect timing.
Hi Gabe, good to see you are doing well. Miss your company. Can't believe the ordeal to get from Anjuna to Palolem :-D I'm in Hampi now, beautiful and magical place. Have a vlog ready but Wi-Fi here are from the 90's it seems :-D
Parallel Universe - For got wifi you need to stay in good hotels in India.
And yes I think that Palolem would be a perfect place to go with family, probably the best family-friendly beach in Goa.
bhaagy भाग्य! 6:20 nice to see the little box that connects us all. that talk by the table was very insightful
Love your vids but I think I'd be devastated after travelling on all them buses to land up in that hut lol
Can’t wait to travel to India. First place to visit is Goa.
nice shirt
Kingfisher is kind of a staple beer in India, and the only brand that you will get pretty much everywhere. Through the strong one is a bit bitter, the lagers are not too bad.
Gabe, you deserved that fruit juice after so many bus ride. :D
All videos r helpful 4 touristss n aslo helpful 4 indian
but u missed Mumbai , wow Goa is different
really needed that after all your latest travels videos...love your india videos most.... much love to cali from berlin !
A small Mccdowelle for less than a buck would made a great chaser at the beach cafe...
You could have traveled by train from Thivim to Canacon at Rs 25.
(Mapusa to Thivim bus )
Your getting better with time Gabriel, loved the last one from Paris JM search. As to your story and filming. Been watching for long time "Years". Thanks much Mark from Oregon.
Cool man, thanks Mark, Oregon rocks!
Great video as usual with lots of useful info for the ones with a love of travelling, much appreciated.
great video, very enjoyable, i didnt even fast forward any of it...
Ahh tin tins. We rented a house round the corner. Loved it there. Palolem to👍
It's amazing you can find those awesome budget places to stay. I'm taking notes.

your videos are very informative and looks like it presents the correct picture. will regularly come back to Ur channel for future references, keep it up man.
Super cool video Gabriel. I just got back from Ecuador and Peru and used your previous videos as travel research.. I'm off to Tibet next, but maybe Goa after that. Keep up the good work!
i love these videos that show what a true level of quality is for under $50/day. the percent of Americans who would accept this type of travel is probably
again a vintage one from u, great video, simply love it. u r right, if u r in Goa, itz best to have Kings, nothing else. cheers.
WOW I didn't know india was so cheap, 30 cents for a bus ride WOW. Very cheap prices and beautiful place to go.
Public transport in Goa really sucks. And the taxi mafia union there don't allow uber/ola cabs either.
I stayed at the exact same place in 2016! WOW..
Breathtaking! Thank you for this post- you must be having an absolute ball! I will have to add Goa to my bucket list for sure. :)
The prices damn! I’m looking for an abroad in Japan program in GOA now! That’s cheap! Wait how cheap is regular India? Damn! It reminds me of being in China - I feasted [had epulose(s) ] everyday!
great video as always gabe. I'm trying to summon the courage to pack a bag and hit the open road myself. Your videos are certainly inspiring :D
there is a saying in goa
all road leads to Mapusa
so sit in any bus and it will take you to mapusa
Great detail on the price of everything, please keep that up mate!
Im just reading some of the other peoples comments about your videos Gabriel and they say what i said too :-) Your very talented on how you make your videos, to good for RUclips, your own TV travel show next i think. :-)
I loved this video,thanks Gabriel !
This vid was so helpful. Thank you!
Awesome video man
Thanks.
kingfisher is my favorite beer !
I've just watched all your videos on RUclips. Thank you so much for uploading.
All of them? Wow, thanks.
Gabriel Traveler. Sorry. Most of them. Will continue tonight. Peace ✌🏻
Just found your channel. Watching back to back videos.
Excellent.
goa where most tourists visit compared to the rest of india, i've heard the Portuguese influence is a plus for western visitors but didn't see that in this video.
Another awesome video, enjoyed it.
Great adventures ..love living the dream with you on your adventures...
And I am sure you are correct that I will probably actually be in McLeod ganj. My options for yoga training was either Goa or the one I decided on.
diandra williams Dharmsala is right up in the Himalaya mountains while Goa will offer you beaches. Two contrasting choices you have there. However Dharmsala will be cool and pleasant and in the midst of Buddhism.
This place looks like paradise. I can't help wondering how you keep from getting your things stolen. Do you have any videos that discuss this?
Love your positivity
