Freddie, I've been following you for a while now. The answer to why I enjoy watching your, or in fact your both, channel (hi, Monica), apart from your taste in motorbikes, which I share, is actually another aspect: you show what a good time you can have with motorbikes as such, but also with the motorbike as a tool to experience the world. I wish you continued success. Stay the way you are!
Wow, wow WOW!.. India looks fascinating and I would love to be going there. Your Videography is nothing short of superb and had me captivated from start to finish.
Loved this, took me back to my 3 years in Bangalore, loved the place, Mother India fair got under my skin. Watch out for the goats, no road sense, I clobbered one at 40 kph, it hurt! Few tips to avoid the dreaded lurgy, drink canned drinks not bottles, drink coconuts as good for hydration, keep hydrated as dehydration is what lowers your immunity (even if ur out on the lash).
Thanks Freddie and Monika very relaxing, informative and enjoyable. First one for me but I am into Yoga and interested in India although never been yet. My mother’s brother died and was buried there in the mid 1940’s I would like to visit his grave as no one from his family has so far.

I lived in Goa for over 13 years. Raised there as a pup, i can really say that Goa back in the days was as beautiful as your first love. Thank you for such beautiful commentary about your experiences, probably the best video I've watched so far.
@@reekreason2082 stfu non of ur fucking business this is our ancestors ur talking about not urs so shut up no need to teach us our goan history we know wt our history is
This is the first time I'm watching your vlog Freddie. Absolutely no regrets!! I really like your style of narration and the way your partner (Monica) actually films the whole thing. Ironically, most of the Goans who have left Goa, did so because they were also entitled to Portuguese citizenship (with a cut off as far as their date of birth is/was concerned) and then went on to eventually shift to England (Swindon in particular), with Portugal being a stepping stone. Do remember though that wasn't the norm. Or was it? Someone out there can correct me. That however, has led to a decrease in the number of Christians in Goa, coupled with a big migration of people from the rest of India into Goa for opportunities. Be that as it may, I love Goa, and I mean it. Just about everything. Place, people, food (Catholic as well as Saraswat, the two main "cooking styles" of Goa), vibe. All of it. As an aside the Morris and the Merc, ooh lala... Spoiler alert: I'm not Goan. Waiting for your other videos...
I have seen very few tastefully done Indian visits by a Brit or European tourist. Thanks for being original in not glossing over the harsh stuff and keeping it real. Your fascination for exploring new cultures is captivating. Thank you.
I don't mean to be a killjoy Check your insurance especially if your riding a motorcycle if allows you to use a motorcycle plus check on max engine cc. It cost me £17,000 (hospital and emergency repatriation) insurance was void because did not cover any bike over 125cc
Thank you for visiting and exploring my country. This is a lovely video. Needless to say I'm a huge fan of Monika's work! Goa is indeed beautiful. The reason you don't see too many tourists from abroad is because its the start of summer and it can get quite hot. Most tourists come in during the cooler months - November to Jan. Also your motorcycle is at least a decade old. Its one of the early models, if not the very first model of the classic 350.
Also you're in Goa in March leaning towards April, when most locals consider it too hot for a leisurely vacation. We'll flock off to higher altitudes instead. That should explain the relative lull in tourists.
That Morris is from the mid 50s. One of the early Morris Minors. (Not the very first model, that had the headlights low down in the wings, but soon after that one. If you had lifted the tarpaulin you would have seen a split windscreen). Probably about 30 years oder than the Mercedes.
Goa looks amazing. What a talent Monika has stitching these films together with b roll and music to tell the story. Doing these travel vids abroad is where this channel works best. Freddie has such enthusiasm for everything around him, difficult not to smile while watching.
Such a cozy vlog :) ! Same Goan who commented on another video. Brief history: the Portuguese inquisition in the 15th century was considered one of the most violent inquisitions in Catholic history. Hindus from the Bijapur sultanate initially welcomed the Portuguese to use the port, but the Portuguese soon showed them what a mistake they had made. They defeated the Bijapur sultanate and annexed Goa, and later enacted strict anti-Hindu / Brahman / Jain laws to end what the Catholics considered to be heretical conduct and to encourage conversions to Christianity. One such law was that - 'reporting a neighbor of praying to idols' would have the accused evicted from his own home, and half his property would be given to the inquisitor, and have to the one who filed the complaint. This led to a lot of false claims due to greed and revenge. Some Hindus were also burned in public, some were made concubines, some into slaves... My mother is from Karnataka, and speaks the same language, that's because her ancestors fled the oppression in Goa. Many Hindus still practiced their faith in secret, and when Goa was liberated many practiced their faith openly again. I'm Catholic myself, but that's perhaps because my ancestors were left with little choice. Many Goans themselves don't know the history, because most records were burned in the 18th century, and by the time Goa was liberated there was a level or corporation and stability between the Portuguese & Goans. Some Goans can be overly proud of Portuguese heritage, flaunting their Portuguese passports / mixed culture, while some like myself are happy to see Goa / India reclaim their former autonomy. Regarding British India: though the rule was far shorter, it's what dismantled India. Pre-invasion, India owned ~24.4% of the global GDP as one of the richest places in the world, after the British left it was only ~3-4%, as India had been looted and drained of all her resources. India used to be known as a powerhouse for textiles, metal working, swords / weapons that were both deadly and ornamental, spices, pottery, arts, and wood working (India built some of the best ships for its time that lasted 20 years). There were elaborate trade routes that enabled India to establish world (Asian) trade. But when the British left only 1% of India was considered employed. A less talked about issue as well is that the British rule led to over 5x more 'preventable' deaths than the Jewish Holocaust, as all produce was shipped off as world war rations / and distribution issues created famine, all while droughts hit. It is estimated Britain took / owes India an estimated $45 Trillion USD in total. ($45,000,000,000,000) While no modern day British person is responsible for the atrocities of the past, during a time that was generally barbaric and ripe with conquest, it's good to know history. It adds to the understanding of why India still has widespread poverty (remember this was only 77 years ago), or why it can be disorganized, a certain lack of education, or why the architecture / arts of the past ended up being largely lost. I am a History / Science nerd, these objective and historical accounts bear no ill feelings in the present, and no hostility what so over, so I hope it doesn't come across that way. I loved every minute of seeing you both enjoy my hometown. The videos and videography is so soothing. As a fellow biker, and Goan, this brings me joy. Enjoy the rest of your stay and looking forward to more videos 💜

😂😂😂 the Portuguese inquisition lasted 300 years and killed 200 goans. The most violent ya right. My people have suffered from much more under the BJP. Look at the bright side. 1. Christianity crushed casteism. Well not entirely but to a large extent. All cast had one church and worshiped together. 2. The Portuguese taught us many things. They created most of the infra that still stands !!! 3. Better gutter system, to avoid water coughing. 4. They created something called command land or comunidad land reserved for people who didn't have any. (What now the politicians are selling) 5. We get Portuguese passports, where any gaon can start a new life in a euro country. (We got this by registering our birth in Portugal, because Portugal still thinks we r their citizens)
@@theunknown2090 The audacity! They literally blockaded villages and disrupted food supply so as to starve the villagers into accepting Christianity. Portuguese were the worst and so are you who is actively covering up their crimes. Wow Freddie. Goa is way better than Mumbai. Man I really like that little Enfield. It’s right up my alley. The only thing that would make it better is if it was about 40 years older. And the headlight worked. Why does it have Harley turn signals on it ? It must be a custom 👍
British were in India bit longer than 90yrs . . . East India Co started trading in 1600's , had their own military and fought pitched battles against the locals all over India . . . . .the bike sounds nice .
I'm Portuguese, 72 years old. I remember learning in my childood school, that Goa was a "province" of Portugal as Madeira , Azores and Macau. I remembrer to tour in Porto in a Morris Minor, from my family, here in Portugal. I also remember, back in the past, to travel several times in a very luxurious 1966 Mercedes 200 with a pearl white steering wheel and a wooden dash. And I prowdly own now, the "better bike" in the world: a 2018 Royal Enfield Classic 500 euro 4. with 35000km.
If you enjoyed Goa, then try biking some of the other parts of India Agra, Jaipur, Kerala etc it's wonderful the people are so friendly, did you know if you ever get down to Chennai (Madras) you can take a guided tour of the Royal Enfield factory with a meal thrown in for around £6in rupees or you could when I was last down there before Covid.
Hey Freddy, the house you showed us is mostly one that’s built in the 70s or 80s but won’t be before the Portuguese left.. the old houses have distinct features which you will notice once you see a lot of them. Waiting for you to come down south to show you some really cool houses and places.
Hi Freddie, I used to ride from Mumbai/Pune to Goa back in 2005-08 on my HH CBZ 150. I always used to lunch at a local fisherman's hut. He used to catch local fish from his naav/hodi/boat and serve fresh food back then just for Rs. 30 for a fish thali (food serve). It was enroute from Baga towards Calangute! Goa was much different - empty , raw and beautiful back then. I haven't visited in years now and it looks different a lot!
It's out of season. That's probably why so few tourists are around. Probably a lot more tourists in April and June / July. Thanks for the amazing videos Freddie. Always enjoy watching your travels.
Hey Freddie, well 'patina' seems like an understatement 😅 the amount of rust on the exhaust is appalling! Being a proud Enfield owner, here's few tips. 1) if the bike has drum brakes at the back its older than 2017 2) if it's having issues starting, check your air filter ( and looking at the state of your bike, even the engine oil ). Enfields have been used as tourist workhorses and are sometimes treated as such. Yours appears to be a 2018 model, as far as the mileage is concerned, the odometer can be disconnected without any tools. There's a single cable going from your throttle to the front wheel, right next to the disc, you can literally just loosen up the screw there and the odo stops ! I suspect that bike has done atleast 30k ! But don't worry, its reliable :) enjoy goa !

I’m loving this India trip. Such great content. Makes me want to travel. ❤
These were sold in Europe until the new / revised 350s came out. I sat on one of these brand new in the Netherlands 2021, was military colors gorgeous
I also bought a classic 350 few weeks ago because of watching your brilliant videos Freddie. Thanks for that, I love it ! Regards Steve, Bournemouth uk.
I lived in Goa for over 13 years. Raised there as a pup, i can really say that Goa back in the days was as beautiful as your first love. When the sand was gold, before the ships dirtied the seas, the churches were bustling with choirs. Thank you for such beautiful commentary about your experiences, probably the best video I've watched so far.
Yes cause of local migration to Goa got adulterated and rubbished, our Portuguese flavour is getting vanished
I was there in 78,, hitchhiking overland from uk to Australia. Man those were the days.
@@angelangel-vv2yz Do you realise what the portuguese did to your ancestors & now U r longing for them😂
@@reekreason2082 stfu non of ur fucking business this is our ancestors ur talking about not urs so shut up no need to teach us our goan history we know wt our history is
Awsome video really looking forward to the rest of them , the royal enfield is cool as well
This is the first time I'm watching your vlog Freddie.
Great video! Hv fun here Fred! Do enjoy ur stay 😊
Thank you so much🙌🏻
I have seen very few tastefully done Indian visits by a Brit or European tourist. Thanks for being original in not glossing over the harsh stuff and keeping it real. Your fascination for exploring new cultures is captivating. Thank you.
Absolutely awesome. Thank you both so much. My mate lives over there and it is so nice to travel with you both. On our wish list ❤
You will have an amazing time love India
I don't mean to be a killjoy
Check your insurance especially if your riding a motorcycle if allows you to use a motorcycle plus check on max engine cc.
It cost me £17,000 (hospital and emergency repatriation) insurance was void because did not cover any bike over 125cc
I have heard of this many times and if like most people we don't check the small print, that excludes riding anything over 125cc.
It looks like a dam nice place to ride, thanks to Monica for the brilliant filming once again.
Cost you £17,000 in what country?
Nice work Fred and Monika. This is when you two are at your best. Taking us to exotic places and exploring them by motorcycle 👍👍 top work.
Go to Puducherry, an ex French colony.. the police there still wear a French style kepi headgear !
Just as i was abt to sleep the notification popped up. I hope you enjoy our country❤
It's post 2014, as the fuel tank has the new Royal Enfield logo
Also you're in Goa in March leaning towards April, when most locals consider it too hot for a leisurely vacation. We'll flock off to higher altitudes instead. That should explain the relative lull in tourists.
Freddie as a longstanding fan of the channel I’m impressed how well your kick starting as come along
That Morris is from the mid 50s. One of the early Morris Minors. (Not the very first model, that had the headlights low down in the wings, but soon after that one. If you had lifted the tarpaulin you would have seen a split windscreen). Probably about 30 years oder than the Mercedes.
The best kind of content! Thank you very much, I am enjoying it a lot!
Goa looks amazing. What a talent Monika has stitching these films together with b roll and music to tell the story. Doing these travel vids abroad is where this channel works best. Freddie has such enthusiasm for everything around him, difficult not to smile while watching.
Goa is beautiful and historic. Thank you for bringing us there thru your video Freddie.
($45,000,000,000,000)
While no modern day British person is responsible for the atrocities of the past, during a time that was generally barbaric and ripe with conquest, it's good to know history.
I don't get why you're apologizing so much for speaking facts - actual things that happened in this country while this brit can't shut up about 'faded glory'
Why are you posting it here? Way to ruin the vibe.
@@yj9032 ruin the vibe??? What vibe? Better to not lie about colonial stuff with phrases like 'faded glory' and 'plagues' if ppl don't wanna ruin the vibe. You're so despicable gosh
(What now the politicians are selling)
The goan population is either becoming atheist or reverting to their native faith in the absence of foreign evil and the best part is it isn't forced on them, they do so voluntarily. Keep crying, we will uncover all the crimes you are trying to whitewash and cover up.
Good one ! Thanks. Brought back lots of memories of my time there 25 years back! Not much changed
Exactly the same condition of the Enfields we rented in Goa a few years ago, same age, same rust, same kick start issues, no lights. Didn't care.
Class.
Bring the bike back in the same condition (or better) then when you received it and it's all good.
Looking forward to the Goa adventure, memory lane for me.
Been following you guys for 2+ years now and it feels special to see you both here in India. Never been to Goa but I come from a place called Shillong, Meghalaya (aka Scotland of the East, another motorcycling heaven, do look it up!). Never owned an RE but I do wish to; although I did some cafe hopping on a Honda CB 350, all inspired from you guys! Cheers and enjoy your time!
Welcome to Goa Freddie and Monica! I'm from Goa. Hope you have a lovely stay.🙂
Namaste Freddie! Yes, those trousers are too short 😂
Damn it!!!🤬
What a wonderful film you produced there Freddie. Your enthusiasm is infectious. I'm currently based in Sri Lanka for six months so sharing that weather, palm trees and riding.
Don't want to think about the UK it is sole destroying tbh.
Ah yes, UK is indeed 'soul' destroying, endless dreary rain... and snow is forecast over the next few days brrrrhhhh! At least watching these lovely videos by Freddie and Monica brings some sunshine into my life, vibrant colours and short sleeved shirts. 😎
Another lovely video. No mention was made of having any insurance for that RE, I hope you had some Freddie, because a really serious accident could end up costing over 20k. Not meaning to be a killjoy but you hear of horror stories when abroad on holiday. Keep up the good work with Monika.
No,one has insurance there 😂😂 the hospital if you have Indian rupees you will be allowed in. Trust me I know had to take a friend into a hospital in Punjab. They wouldn’t accept a credit card or insurance card only cash for foreigners 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️
Freddie and Monica….you have the best lifestyle of anyone I know. Enjoy every minute 🤘🏼⭐️👏🏻🫶🏻
What an absolutely mesmerizing documentation in fact of an amazing city and country, with a most enriched history. Thank you Freddie this was brilliant!
Such beautiful scenery and what way to see it is on a little Enfield! 👍 Safe travels to you both..
Can't wait to explore the back streets on a Royal Enfield !🏍It's got me even more excited for my own adventure in Goa! 🌴✨
loved it great video i miss my RE 350:(
Thanks! I really want a Classic 350- they have charm like no other bike
Sold my Harley and a Pan European 1300 because I fell in love with a classic 350 that I test rode. Bought the 350 and it’s now my beautiful sole mate. A keeper.
Loving the start of your adventures in beautiful India… thanks guys… heading out for a slow coffee on my newly acquired Classic 500 today 🤗🤗🤗
I love it! I really want to see India on Royal Enfield.
I didn't expect this. So eager to see your videos in our country. Enjoy your stay. Love from India.
Wow Freddie. Goa is way better than Mumbai. Man I really like that little Enfield. It’s right up my alley. The only thing that would make it better is if it was about 40 years older. And the headlight worked. Why does it have Harley turn signals on it ? It must be a custom 👍
Racing slick LOL, I love your positivity Freddie!
Thank you.. Thank you for showing India with such respect and beautiful frames.
British were in India bit longer than 90yrs . . . East India Co started trading in 1600's , had their own military and fought pitched battles against the locals all over India . . . . .the bike sounds nice .
Lovely video as always! That Mercedes though, stole my heart.
The enfield is the heartbeat of india, your video is amazing, its like a tourism film for goa
Special place. Thanks so much for sharing Freddie & Monika 🙏
Very well-made video. Welcome to Goa. Have a wonderful stay.
I never seen that level of enthusiasm in old heritage ❤amazing 😊
Do check out the Royal Enfield Garage Café in Goa. You will love it! ❤
welcome to India... You make ordinary things look extraordinary !
Love how respectful you are to the local culture. Love from India 🇮🇳♥️
Hey Freddy, the house you showed us is mostly one that’s built in the 70s or 80s but won’t be before the Portuguese left.. the old houses have distinct features which you will notice once you see a lot of them.
Waiting for you to come down south to show you some really cool houses and places.
was thinking that throughout that whole section, my favourite Dobbs moments are when he makes a bad assumption and runs with it, love the enthusiasm
Nice one Freddie, I love Goa. Visited many years ago. What a great place to explore by motorbike 👍 Enjoy
Thank you for collaborating with India 🇮🇳 🇬🇧 Great Britain thank you 🙏
Hi Freddie,
I used to ride from Mumbai/Pune to Goa back in 2005-08 on my HH CBZ 150.
In Goa you should visit: Candolim, Arambol, Morjim, Ashwem, Panaji, Colva, Palolem, Betul, Cola
Loved every bit of the video ! And the commentary.superb vibes in Goa.love from India
It's out of season. That's probably why so few tourists are around. Probably a lot more tourists in April and June / July. Thanks for the amazing videos Freddie. Always enjoy watching your travels.
The tourist season in Goa is from October to March, post which summer sets in and during monsoon June to Sept its off season
Hey Freddie, well 'patina' seems like an understatement 😅 the amount of rust on the exhaust is appalling! Being a proud Enfield owner, here's few tips.
1) if the bike has drum brakes at the back its older than 2017
2) if it's having issues starting, check your air filter ( and looking at the state of your bike, even the engine oil ).
Hey Freddie! So glad you & Monika made it to India.. since you are at Goa..please do goto Arambol beach, Ashwem beach & Palolem beach. The last being my personal favourite though it’s slightly far away from North where all other famous beaches are..but to be fair it’s a nice ride..Have a great time!!
Oh Freddie that was a fantastic video and wow what a place
Loving the new old Enfield definitely
Loving the cafe and shop on the sea front
absolutely beautiful
Where were the cattle going just wandering around ?? and the birds ….🦅 are beautiful
Nice moggy series 2 I think and Merc dry conditions will definitely 💯 keep the rust away
Great job you two 😊😊
Looking forward to the next

Very nice. Fortunately for you I'm not in India, Last time I was there I hit an Enfield and a sacred cow at an intersection while riding a rickshaw. The Cow was shook up but otherwise fine. Nobody was particularly upset about the motorcycle. My riding privilege's were suspended.
British Colonial rule, in India, in reality, was only 90 Years!!! In whose reality... the Britisher's. Wouldn't they love to project that!
It lasted nearly 200 yrs and it was brutal. Please gets those facts straight.
Awesome video Btw... Loved it!💜
He is drawing a bigger line to make the other line smaller.
There's a breeze, unlike Thailand. There used to be a rave scene in Goa, it was fun to watch the hippies helicopter dancing on the beach.
Wonderful video Freddie and Monika, they just keep getting better and better. Your mix of motorcycles and travel is perfect ....... enjoy India ..... living the dream.
Went to Goa 4yrs ago Visited the new Royal Enfield Showroom the guys there were brilliant got a free T Shirt & Cap,People we’re Ultra friendly,Food was excellent & v cheap I think a beer was about 70p?(kingfisher everywhere lol)The beaches were to die for & nightlife was great Indians know how to party! While your there Freddie have a go in a Tok Tok such fun! Watching the video makes me want to pack a bag & go back jump on a Enfield & go explore love the place!
I think you mean Tuk Tuk. A race in a Tuk Tuk is an experience and a half to be sure. 😉
Ohhhh wow, you've just added another bucket list motorbike destination that I must go to.
RE is the top. Mythical. The sound of its mono is poetry. One thing: the bikes for the internal market aren't as well cared as the ones for foreign markets. For example, they don't have a base coat. The helmet... Monika is right. That resembles a polo helmet, nothing to do with german style. However better you wear it securely tighten not that loose. Monika mistaken for Russian? That's a huge compliment. For sure you look British, or better English, I wonder if anybody there is giving you the same compliments knowing the hate English have for Russians. And I thought about the colours of your shirt just before Monika said it. Matched the Mercedes'
❤❤❤❤❤love you Freddie and family 🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺
Don't kid yourself German cars went rusty too, that Merc was likely renovated the Moggy was older, like early 50s and left. Goa looks great, never been, but have a home in Thailand another in central Portugal. We also have a Royal Enfield 350, but a more modern Meteor, a fabulous bike which we ride every day we are in Thailand. Thanks for sharing your experience, good presentation..
Congratulations on picking up the Royal Enfield Classic 350! What an exciting adventure awaits in India. And the apartment tour sounds like a fantastic way to immerse yourself in the local culture. As you head off to explore, don't forget to extend your travels to the breathtaking landscapes and rich culture of Nepal as well. It's a land of majestic mountains and warm hospitality, offering experiences that will surely enrich your journey even further. Safe travels and enjoy every moment !
I like the bike. Just the job for roads you're on. Can't beat a kickstarter. Goa looks lovely. Interesting video. Nick
Truly enjoyable introduction to Goa Freddie. Are you planing to go to Chennai to the Royal Enfield facility for a tour? Monica, your contribution to the videos is essential and fun and adds so much, I know you will keep up the good work!
Kickstarting a cold Classic is pure joy.
Hugely enjoyable video, an air of tranquility exudes! Enjoy every moment of your trip, I'll be glued to each episode
"Difference between German built quality and British built quality..." - What a nice compliment! Thank you from Germany.☺️
you are really giving India a really positive pace. for a holiday wonderful job good luck to you both
The bike s in immaculate condition. RE is the pride for India. It's one of the oldest motorcycle company in the world & it's still growing. Are u from the UK. Pls comment ASAP. Perhaps from your accent I just picked it up. Thank you.
Very refreshing take from Bullet (RE). Enjoyed your perception about Goa.
Great video! I love Royal Enfield motorcycles!
