Thanks for this. I am running RBR in 2023 and all this insight is invaluable. All the best from Canada! "If you're not crying, you're not trying." LOL

Nice! One add... Make sure you can do the training loops on multiple days back to back!!! :)

Very good video! And nice camera angles ;) Yes, people over-estimate their average speed for this. The gnarly sections can make you time out. Maybe not when you're fresh, but it's a 5 days race. Another cause is getting lost on the track and then being late at the next checkpoint. ⏲💪

Yep it’s a long old slog so it’s good to be able to measure yourself I guess

So should I ask about gold class or is that a stupid question training is One thing come race day it's a different ball game

Well to be fair the silver and gold sections are short sections off the main bronze loop so you could take most of the tips in the video on board. But obviously the tough sections of the 30km training loop must be really tough for silver and almost impossible for gold.

@@HardEnduroAddict ok that's fair lm on the central coast and constantly doing silver and bronze loops mostly on my own as l get less distractions and a better view of average speeds without the chit chat and loopouts however just to make it a little harder lv been doing it on a 125 and it certainly makes the need to be a lot more precise with out the grunt of a 300 but 10 kgs less is the saving grace
