The judgement against Tonya never made sense to me = even back then.

If Peggy Fleming was 20 years younger, or Dorothy Hamill was 10-15 years younger, they could have pulled this off, but I can't think of a then current skater who could.

I haven’t been watching ice skating competitions for a long time until two weeks ago and honestly I could tell Nancy wasn’t even trying this time, no hate against her but her lack of seriousness is definitely helping me understand Tonya better at how much of a better skater she truly is and Tonya really does deserve love and attention.

If you really knew Nancy, you would find out that she actually hated figure skating. She wanted to get into hockey like her brothers, but back then there were no women hockey leagues. While playing on the ice, a coach noticed Nancy's natural grace on the ice and talked her parents into the figure skating lessons. She was pretty much pressured into it by her parents and she stuck it out for them.

Interesting because before she fell she actually looked more natural then I have ever seen her skate but then after that she stiffened up like she usually looks like in competition. Very interesting actually. When she concentrated too hard she skates disconnected and stiff but for the first few bars of the skate she actually looked like she could move for a change.

If you are referring to a triple axel women don't even learn how to. They may try a double axel,but men perform the triple axel. Tonya Harding did it once in competition and a few others but stop trying to make a big deal out of it. Women aren't expected to. Nancy did win that gold in 1994,it's just the 5 Communist judges that always cheat Americans had a majority and I can't understand how they got that majority. The Olympic Committee knows better than to stack the deck, but that's what they did. If they hadn't Nancy gets credit for the gold she really won. Canada and Great Britain placed Oksana Baiul 3rd behind Chen Lu. Oksana did not skate that good in the 1994 Olympics. She had more than one two foot landings. The whole thing was a fraud and that BS story the East German judge gave us was made up along with his scoring having an overly dramatic story, because he knew how his 4 comrades had scored. It was a fraud not independent judges with differing opinions.
I remember thinking how wonderful she was as a young girl... Then as an adult watching videos of her terrible sportsmanship and bad attitude. Even in interviews she came off horribly. I'd never condone what was done to her but seeing Tonya behind the scenes and in interviews I can't help but want to see Tonya get a second chance at redemption.. Nancy not so much.

Actually I liked that performance probably better than just about any other performance I've seen her do. I liked that she smiled and genuinely laughed after she fell going backwards. It shows that she is not such an ice princess:)
She seems rather messy and that she’s not executing the choreography with much energy. Her movements seem a little sloppy and with low effort. I believe Tonya is far more skilled as a skater.

She skated to Moon River, and held her Ina Bauer position half way around the rink at the end..gorgeous! Also her spins were always outstanding, really fast and proper position. Dick Button complimented her often. And of course her high double axels were huge...

Interesting because before she fell she actually looked more natural then I have ever seen her skate but then after that she stiffened up like she usually looks like in competition. Very interesting actually. When she concentrated too hard she skates disconnected and stiff but for the first few bars of the skate she actually looked like she could move for a change.

If you are referring to a triple axel women don't even learn how to. They may try a double axel,but men perform the triple axel. Tonya Harding did it once in competition and a few others but stop trying to make a big deal out of it. Women aren't expected to. Nancy did win that gold in 1994,it's just the 5 Communist judges that always cheat Americans had a majority and I can't understand how they got that majority. The Olympic Committee knows better than to stack the deck, but that's what they did. If they hadn't Nancy gets credit for the gold she really won. Canada and Great Britain placed Oksana Baiul 3rd behind Chen Lu. Oksana did not skate that good in the 1994 Olympics. She had more than one two foot landings. The whole thing was a fraud and that BS story the East German judge gave us was made up along with his scoring having an overly dramatic story, because he knew how his 4 comrades had scored. It was a fraud not independent judges with differing opinions.

I remember thinking how wonderful she was as a young girl... Then as an adult watching videos of her terrible sportsmanship and bad attitude. Even in interviews she came off horribly. I'd never condone what was done to her but seeing Tonya behind the scenes and in interviews I can't help but want to see Tonya get a second chance at redemption.. Nancy not so much.
It's funny cause she thought she had it already won then came Oksana and took the Gold, Oksana deserved it she was the best one for sure.. Nancy had a bad attitude towards Oksana like Tonya said it looked as if she stepped in 💩 poo when she got the silver..

She seems rather messy and that she’s not executing the choreography with much energy. Her movements seem a little sloppy and with low effort. I believe Tonya is far more skilled as a skater.

@@canadianbeef1958 Tonya was definitely graceful. Watch her Olympic Exhibition in Albertville, her 1992 performance was incredible. She skated to Moon River, and held her Ina Bauer position half way around the rink at the end..gorgeous! Also her spins were always outstanding, really fast and proper position. Dick Button complimented her often. And of course her high double axels were huge...
