  • I’ve had an alignment, and in pursuit of straight line hassle free steering I’m replacing the prop shaft that has some worn components in it. Bus has a Sheppard power steering upgrade modification on it which requires shortening the stock prop shaft.

Any work on these is difficult. But if it was easy, anyone could do it. Thanks for sharing.

I’m thinking they over greased the spline and pushed the plug out most likely. Any aftermarket part doesn’t take all of the possibilities in consideration. They should have copied the original design better. Nice job Scott!!!

Yup the replacement had a little hole in it to relieve any pressure but if it was coming down fast it’d blow out no problem.

Are you going to have this bus ready in time for Quartzite in January?

Are they ever done? It’s good enough now, but there’s a pretty long todo list.

Hi thanks for checking in, my dad fell ill in December and I’ve spent the last 6 mos dealing with that, I have been in Alaska 4 times this year because of that. Haven’t had much time for our buses. In AK now, went to Dawson city Yukon and heading down the alcan tomorrow, I do have many hours of vids to edit when I get home related to those trips. Mostly road stuff.
