Covered bus parking with service pit

Over a period of several months with the help of friends and family we undertook a major project: to transform a patch of ground next to our shop into additional covered storage area for our buses and farm equipment, and incorporate a service pit into the design. Since we now have two buses (for the time being) we need a place to store one out of the weather. We also need a place to safely service them from underneath without getting squashed by airbags. While 4-wheel bus lifts would be ideal, they are out of our budget and we don’t have the indoor clearance to make use of them anyway.

Awesome job on the pit.
Now that you have easier access to under the bus you can suit up and pressure wash everything. It will be so much easier when doing preventive maintenance having a clean underside.

Cleaning the underside is a challenge I haven’t quite figured out yet.. I don’t want to slime my pit up with all that stuff right off the bat.
