    For those who need it, I made a note of the build details, hopefully I did not miss anything:
    Geralt God Build for Next-Gen Details
    Mutations (B&W) Perk: Metamorphosis
    Warrior Perks Slotted: Precise Blows, Crushing Blows, Whirl, Rend, Razor Focus, Resolve
    Sign Perks Slotted: Magic Trap (optional and swappable per your preference)
    Alchemy Perks Slotted: Acquired Tolerance, Tissue Transmutation, Endure Pain, Protective Coating, Fixative, Delayed Recovery, Synergy, Killing Spree, Hunter Instinct
    Mutagen Slots: 4 Greater Red Mutagens
    Steel Sword: Touissant Knight Steel Sword
    Steel Sword Glyph: Severance
    Silver Sword: Aerondight or Gesheft. Aerondight has better damage but Gesheft has a 15% chance to poison which triggers more Mutations.
    Silver Sword Glyph: Severance
    Chest Armor: Grandmaster Legendary Ursine Armor
    Armor Glyph: Levity (swappable with Entanglement or Rotation)
    Gloves: Nilfgaardian Guardsmen’s Gauntlets
    Glove Glyphs: 2 Greater Glyphs of Mending
    Leg Armor: Legendary Manticore Trousers
    Leg Armor Glyphs: Your preference
    Boots: Legendary Manticore Boots
    Boot Glyphs: Your preference
    Slotted Potions: Superior Blizzard, Superior Swallow, Superior Maribor Forest, Superior Thunderbolt
    Decoctions: Ideally, drop all Decoctions except the following 6 so Metamorphosis can only apply those. Ancient Leshen, Chort, Katakan, Reliever’s, Arachas, Ekimmara. NOTE: Dropping Decoctions from inventory destroys them and they have to be remade, be mindful.
    Standard Build Guide: Keeping Toxicity High at all times. As soon as combat begins, drink: Superior Blizzard, Superior Swallow, Superior Maribor Forest (in that order). Build should activate, goal is to keep toxicity above 55% at all times. You should be able to drink ALL potions in inventory and have all effects active at once.

      @@DPhoenix237 Great build but some questions about the potion usage that isn't clicking for me. First, why does the order of Blizzard, Swallow, then Maribor Forest matter? Second, how does that activate the build? Those three together are only 60 toxicity, or about 30% with the perks and gear suggested, but you need to get to 55% for Delayed Recovery to activate. I usually just do basically everything (Swallow, Thunderbolt, Petri, Maribor, Blizzard, Full Moon) in whatever order they're in my inventory and it seems to work fine.

    • @DPhoenix237
      @DPhoenix237  Год назад +1

      Yeah, it's just to stress that those are the most important ones. Superior Blizzard is broken AF with this build and Swallow provides huge healing. You want to use Superior Maribor after the battle starts ideally because you get the second Adrenaline point after Razor Focus has given you one.
      But then yeah pile on whatever else you want to use the powerful potions and keep DR active.

    i think that altho this build is pretty nice for sure, it is definitely a huge hassle:
    1/ you need a pretty big ramp up before you have everything procced
    2/ high maintenance of having to keep an eye on your toxicity as well as the potions duration in middle of fights (fights which btw shouldn't be lasting too long at high level with proper gear...Aaronsight and TTKS carry hard)
    3/ fights not lasting too long means you'll run out of actual potions VERY quickly and will need to meditate often to get them back!
    4/ if the fights do last long, then whats the point of going through ALL these annoyances, when some other builds don't, have next to 0 maintenance at all and effectively 1-2 shots mobs consistently?
    good breakdown of this particular build though, no doubt

    Using troll decoction to negate toxicity tecnique is even more valuable now(using acquired tolerance without hightened t.). Tried 7 decoction+potions and its awesome. Drinking troll and anchient leshen before battle and getting chort, arachas, ekidna, ekimmara, katakan decoctions via mutation and using few potions on top of that is amazing. Metamorphosis was already amazing and with this buff it became s tier. And the new fixative is LOVELY.

    • @DPhoenix237
      @DPhoenix237  Год назад +4

      That's a little worse than this build though, unless you really can't keep track of Delayed Recovery.
      Troll decoction heals an insignificant amount in combat, and outside of combat Swallow heals more than enough. In combat Swallow + Ekimmara is tons of healing.
      Delayed Recovery can't work if you have 2 decoctions applied (meaning 100 decoction toxicity or toxicity offset) so you're essentially using Fast Metabolism in its place and limiting the time and numbers of uses of Swallow, Maribor, Blizzard and the other potions. Good, but not as good as Delayed Recovery having all of them. Delayed Recovery also works on the Metamorphosis decoctions and keeps all 5 active once their triggered as long as potion toxicity remains over 55% of the total max.
      The video was long enough already so I didn't go into it, but with high enough toxicity (like the 194 here) and Delayed Recovery now having a 55% threshold you can use one decoction manually and still be able to keep Delayed Recovery up; it just gives you less room for error.

    Return of the king!
    I play on Xbox....
    And I'll be honest, during the first couple of days using the new patch I hated it. I still get random crashes and the game also crashes at specific points (which I can work around) but they need to do something about that.
    I've been messing about with Hunters Instinct and Killing Spree - but I never really used Delayed Recovery - always used Fast Metabolism. I have loads of skill points available so I'll give it a go; and Endure Pain looks like it finally has a use.
    I don't know that I'll use this exact build - although Metamorphosis has been my "go to" since you used it in one of your NG+ walkthroughs, but an extra vid on how the new toxicity mechanics work would be much appreciated - looking forward to it.

      If you're planning on using this build in the endgame, you don't want to create any decoctions other than the ones that this build uses because Metamorphosis will only pick from the created decoctions.
      If you're not planning on using this build then it doesn't matter. Personally I think the best way to go is to use potions and Delayed Recovery or Fast Metabolism throughout the games, then use this build once available in the endgame. If you like thst playstyle then creating other decoctions is unnecessary.

    1. Bro, can you explain the importance of adrenaline points in this build? I didn't understand. I'm playing the game again. I'm lvl 15. I'm avoiding using maribor potion for now because of that.
    2. Also, would you tell what skills are the most important to have for people that are not playing NG+? Because I think I won't have enough slots or points for the skills, so what skills would you discard in this case?
    3. Final question: If you could choose to play with a full set of armor of any type using this build, which armor set would it be? I'm going to play with the full Ursine armor because of its aesthetic. Do you think the build will be nerfed a lot because I won't be using the same armor you're using in the video?

    • @DPhoenix237
      @DPhoenix237  7 месяцев назад +1

      1. Adrenaline matters for a ton of stuff. Notably, extra damage and sign intensity, 100% critical hit damage with Hunter Instinct with 3 points, infinite stamina with Superior Blizzard and 3 points.
      2. Watch my 4.0 Death March playthrough, especially this episode, and later the one where I go to Toussaint early to get Superior Blizzard ruclips.net/video/UCmrs57Ei4w/видео.htmlsi=5xj0y3H-ggKD4dcJ Get Delayed Recovery = GG EZ
      3. Use what you like. I recommend optimised gear, I don't care if you want to nerf your own build. You can't even see the trousers under the Ursine chest because of the cloak anyway. But sure, Ursine gear works fine if you don't mind losing 80% critical hit damage from the boots and Gauntlets. Tbf you can't even get the Nilf Gauntlets and manticore boots til higher levels anyway so it's not a big deal. The skills matter more early on.

    great build overall! however I would replace Maribor Forest with Superior Cat- you're going to build up 3 adrenaline points almost instantly into the fight anyways and since you've got Resolve maxed out and can't lose any of them that renders Maribor pretty much useless after the first 2 seconds of the engagement, thanks to the next gen update Superior Cat now gives an additional 10% crit chance (literally the same as the Katakan decoction for a fraction of the cost) which apparently not many people noticed since it's such an underdog potion, it would be a shame not to include in such a crit-based build

    Sorry if this is a stupid question. Been using alchemy build for the longest time so was bummed to see that Euphoria got the nerf hammer. It’s not horrible but a little over kill. .75 per learned alchemy would’ve been a nice balance.
    Anyway - how are you not getting hurt by overdosing? I thought HT handles that but you are constantly over the 50% threshold w/o HT. Is that just the effect of potions constantly regenerating health?
    Bonus question - if you drop/destroy decoctions, do they still count as a learned alchemy formula via AT?

    Very cool build thank you. A few questions if you don't mind:
    - Can you kind of "combine" the previous Euphoria build with Metamorphosis? Like, apply the 5 Decoctions we had for Euphoria, would Metamorphosis apply more decoctions? or would it recognize you already having 5 active and not proc any?
    - Also, the 120s decoction procs, could they be extended by the Alchemy skill on the bottom that prolongs the decoctions? Or is Delayed Recovery already doing that, even though it says "*Potion effects* don't wear off .." Are decoctions considered potions as well? Because i remember in your Euphoria build you mentioned Hightened Tolerance doesn't work on decoctions (IIRC).
    - Would you suggest this build even without dropping all the decoctions except for 5-6 like you? Or would you keep Euphoria in that case?
    Thanks

    • @DPhoenix237
      @DPhoenix237  Год назад +1

      First question, you can't use 5 decoctions any more because they halved the boost from Acquired Tolerance. But otherwise yes; you can use 3 decoctions normally and then Metamorphosis will trigger other ones from the remaining pool. Bear in mind that from what I've read (not had time to test it myself) decoction toxicity hurts you when over the threshold now. That means that using multiple decoctions will definitely put you over 50% and even over 80% even with Heightened Tolerance (which is the new HT limit at 3 points instead of 5).
      Second question - I didn't mention it in the video because it was already too long, but yeah Metamorphosis treats the 5 decoctions the same as it does the potions and extends them indefinitely if you keep your potion toxicity over 55% of your maximum.
      Thirdly yes you can use Metamorphosis with more decoctions and it's still very good. I would recommend limiting the pool somewhat though because some just aren't that useful.

    Delayed recovery percentage only counts the toxicity level caused by potions, not by decoctions, so it's a bit more complicated. It's not 55% of OVERALL toxicity, but 55% of toxicity caused by potions, so you have to focus on not going below that 55% of the bright green part in your toxicity bar.

    • @DPhoenix237
      @DPhoenix237  Год назад +1

      Not quite. Your potion toxicity has to be above 55% of your total max toxicity, which might be what you meant but it isn't quite phrased correctly.
      To clarify, if you have 194 total maximum toxicity then you have to have over 107 potion toxicity at all times for Delayed Recovery to be active. So if you've got 1 decoction activated manually for 50 decoction toxicity you'd need to use at least 107 if the remaining toxicity as potion toxicity for DR to be active, leaving only 37 toxicity 'spare'. That makes it more difficult to keep DR active, but not impossible by any stretch.

    - means health must not be constantly dropping -> play around not reaching overdose toxicity levels

      You can't use Water Hag effective now unless the build is quite restricted.
      Like you alluded to, Toxicity offset (Decoction toxicity) hurts Geralt the same as potion toxicity does now, and Heightened Tolerance's max threshold is 80%. Water Hag is only working now if you're under 80% total toxicity and have HT slotted. That's quite a lot to dedicate to a single Decoction, and it only adds 50% additive damage not multiplicative. It was good when it had virtually no drawback, but not now really.
      I might incorporate it into my new Euphoria setup, but the option of having potions available is considerably stronger.

    Found your channel about a week ago, been loosely following your DM Walk-through as I play through the game for the 2nd time. Really excited to see you back making videos again.
    I REALLY like this build. It looks like loads of fun and will definitely be the build I use for NG+. I do have a handful of questions about it, if you don't mind. I'm still kind of a Witcher noob, so forgive me if these questions have obvious answers.
    First, wouldn't it be best to use decoctions to maintain 55+% toxicity? Down two decoctions, that puts you over 55% for the next 20 minutes, so you don't have to worry about continually downing potions to keep toxicity up. That would also let you have 7 decoctions active alongside the potions instead of 5.
    Also, regarding specific decoctions, is the Ekkimara decoction really that powerful? It seemed underwhelming when I experimented with it, but maybe that's just because I'm a low level character and not dealing enough damage. Maybe the troll or Ekidna decoction would be better. (Though maybe the Ekidna decoction wouldn't work, given how Blizzard is keeping you from using stamina).
    Finally, with the buff to crippling strikes and the change to the Wolven gear set bonuses, do you think a bleed focused build might be viable now?
    Thanks again for making this video. This build is awesome, and I'm really looking forward to trying it out.

    • @DPhoenix237
      @DPhoenix237  Год назад +2

      No worries, these are good questions.
      Regarding toxicity for Delayed Recovery; for that skill it is specifically potion toxicity not decoction toxicity so that's why you can't use decoctions with it. Fortunately the potions are more powerful than decoctions anyway because they're supposed to last a minute or two instead. With AT after the patch, you can use one decoction for 50 deoctions toxicity and have 144 toxicity left over. You need to keep Potion toxicity over 107 to keep Delayed Recovery active. This was too complicated to fit into the build video though so I stuck to the basic version of just using potions.
      Ekimmara is pretty good if your damage is high with 3 Adrenaline points + oil + Hunter Instinct + Superior Thunderbolt. Ekhidna is good normally but loses its lustre when Blizzard means you're not using any stamina 👍
      And yep, one of the builds I've got planned is a Wolven Crippling Strikes bleed build. Crippling Strikes still doesn't work off Whirl (which makes sense) cos otherwise that'd be mega OP.

      @@DPhoenix237 Makes sense, I might try out using 1 decoction, but it might be too much micromanagement to bother with. With only like 30 points of buffer room, you'd have to apply a potion almost the second you are able or you lose all your potion effects. So the added frustration may not be worth the extra decoction.
      I tried out some of the build today, no mutations yet as I'm only level 18, but running around with all the superior potions active at once is an absolute blast, very fun. One thing that annoyed me is I noticed that going into cutscenes and dialouge forcibly removes Superior Blizzard, so you have to keep reapplying it, which is kind of annoying, and means you have to meditate after every 4 cutscenes if you want Blizzard back, but it's not really a big deal.
      Thanks for the response, and I'm looking forward to that bleed build!
