f'n finally someone explained properly that the Water Hag decoc and Invigorate runeword wont work when u taking toxicity dot, and Hightened Tolerance is moot when your going beyond 80% toxicity, everytime i see a newly Euphoria build vid out there and asked why and they cant answer, also for decocs Ekimmara and Troll is a must, the other 2 will be on your own preference, Arachas for more defense, Succubus for more damage, Ancient Leshen for stamina, Chort for shit n giggles! so far this is the most corrective and informative Euphoria Next-Gen build vid out there! well done mate!
Yes, there are quite a few people out there who make builds and unfortunately really don't understand what they're doing. Some content creators mean well and just don't understand; some others are embarrassingly arrogant for how poor their builds are. Still, I just focus on doing the best builds possible. Sometimes I'm experimenting and testing new sets or combinations, and sometimes I'm fully optimising an insanely powerful build (like this one and the Metamorphosis one). I'm glad you enjoyed it and found it informative. Thanks for the kind words.
Delayed recovery wpuldnt be doing anything for you. Only works for potions. So 4 dec your never reaching 55. Also why add fast metabolism with delayed recovery
If you want to run the set up with 2 pc manticore or haven't discovered all formula's jet you can choose to use the basselik decotion as 4th one which cost 40 toxicity instead of 50. Like the set up at 12:00 Great video again phoenix good job
I also think that delayed recovery is the best skill especially at boss fights. However I use it with sing build and Pircing Cold or Conductors of Magic mutation (it depand which sign I prefer to play). I use Razor Focus and maribor forest potion for quick adrenaline boost and than use blizzard and spam aard or igni or any sing I need at the moment. I feel like a wizard in the matrix :D.
Top 3 strongest builds right now (in my opinion) : I played in death March upscaling but with mods as it is too easy without. So I added Enemies of Rivia and Dynamic enemies mods to make enemies much stronger. All the builds use Acquired Tolerance, Synergy, and Delayed Recovery. 1-Metamorphosis Bombardier : 4 red skills (Whirl, Rend, Resolve, Razor focus) 10 green skills ( Acquired Tolerance, Synergy, Delayed Recovery, Hunter Instinct, Killing Spree, Protective coating, Pyrotechnics, Efficiency, Cluster Bombs, Tissue Transmutation) 2 yellows skills (In Combat's Fires, Heavy Artillery) Equipment : Manticore trousers, Manticore boots, Nilfguardian Gauntlets and either Manticor armor or Manticore silver sword (switch to Aerondight if you prefer), Hjalmar Steel sword is also very nice for the 199% critical damage. Bombs are insane right now. One Sanum Bomb kill 5-8 guard at the same time! One Dimeterium bomb kill the same number of guards! You do around 2200 damage with one sanum bomb and you throw 5 each time which apply critical damage which in return apply metamorphosis decoction which gain you more life with tissue transformation. So with 3 adrenaline points damage is doubled! Against bosses : 2 Grapeshot kill Caretaker ! And you can have 5 Grapeshot, 5 dancing star, 5 devil puffball, 8 Northen wind, 8 sanum... Devil puffball delete everything as it is a % of enemy life after initial damage. I never use it as it makes the game too easy. Sometimes I switch Razor focus for advanced pyrotechnics. As it allows to an even faster access to 3 adrenaline points but with less sword damage. 2- Second Life Wizard: Immortal wizard with Undying, Acquired Tolerance, Synergy, and Delayed Recovery. All Griffin set with Entanglement, 4 Green skills : Acquired Tolerance, Synergy, protective coating, Delayed Recovery put around mutation 3 red skills : Rend, Whirl, Undying 2 yellow skills : Rage management, Griffin School technique 7 Blue skills : all yrden column and all aard column except shockwave Edit : would like to bring some details about Second Life Wizard and why I rate it as high. Most sign builds focus on piercing cold/magic sensibilities mutation which give a freezing or nice sign damage bonus. In theory, this is good but the main weakness of sign builds is the weak damage resistance and slower damage over time compared to euphoria/metamorphosis builds. As usually you can't use the combo Ursine/Arachas/Protective coating. In order to circumvent this weakness, Second Life/undying/ rage management makes Geralt almost immortal. Second life restore your full life every 120s (and you are invincible during the restoration time). And during the cooldown you can still be killed multiple times with undying you get back 67% of your health. So as long as you have one adrenaline point undying will protect you until second life cooldown is over. With Yrden trap you have 445% sign intensity (and take less damage) which is correct but you can also access to the delayed recovery infinite potion (blizzard/swallow...) and Whirl and Rend and protective coating. Steel sword enchantment : Elation is excellent with this build. Severance for the Silver sword. The main problem of the sign builds is their squishiness but this build is almost immortal! 3-Warrior Euphoria : Same build than daemonphoenix237. Very powerful but classic meta from 1.32
@@room.beer.controller3032 Some tips if you use Metamorphosis build : -remove from your inventory useless decoctions and keep only the 6-10 strongest ones : Ekidna, Ekimmara, Arachas, Griffin, Succubus, Doppler, Troll, Nightwraith, Ancient Leshen Nightwraith decoction is overlooked by everyone. But it is strong with this build. Sometimes I begin the fights with 20 000 life... Indeed contrary to its description Nightwraith does not disappear when you fast travel. So as long as Delayed Recovery works (keep taking random potions when exploring) Nightwraith gives you a big life boost. Obviously you have to meditate to get back your bombs. -Your house at Corvo Bianco give you one extra charge of each bomb and potion. But there is something you should know before meditating/resting remove the pyrotechnics skill then rest and put it back. Why ? Because as pyrotechnics gives damage to other bombs these bombs are then considered as damaging bombs for heavy artillery which triple their damage but limits their numbers. But if you remove the pyrotechnis skill before resting you get back your 8 Sanum, 8 Northern Wind, 8 Moon Dust... then you just have to put back the pyrotechnis skill in skill tree. There may be some bugged interaction with heavy Artillery. -You could also optimize the build with (L) Grandmaster Ursine chest armor and Manticore trouser, Manticore boots, Nilfguardian guantlet and then you can use Manticore Silver sword and Hjalmar Steel Sword or Iris or Toussaint Knight Steel... the goal is to have 3 sets of Manticore set. In addition to the nice critical damage and chance for bombs you can throw them without delay. For monster boss like Dettlaff you can switch Silver Manticore for Aerondight and switch to Manticore Steel sword in order to keep the Manticore set bonus. -For the Steel sword enchantment you can use Severance which is always excellent but Elation is also very nice for this build. Why ? Sanum do extreme damages to guards/bandits.. and they are blinded and stay immobile and you can easily finish off one or two guards with your sword. Which gives you immediately 3 adrenaline points which double your critical damage with Hunter Instinct.
I believe you'll lose around 15% of the damage from Euphoria, but specifically for the delayed recovery setup, 3 piece cat gear will net you a sweet 30% extra damage on your light attacks. You'll still be able to run Ekimmara and all your potions. And if you give up protective coating, you could slot focus as well. Under the effect of perma blizzard, you'll be able to cast quen infinitely, so may as well pile on the dps.
The theory and reasoning is correct, but do bear in mind that you get diminishing returns from.piling on extra damage boosts once you've already got a significant numbers of boosts already in place. You'd rarely (if ever) notice thst net 15% damage boost, but you'd REALLY notice the 15% damage reduction from Protective Coating because of the difference between how damage is calculated when dealt as opposed to how damage reduction is calculated 👍
@Phoenix237 After testing some myself, especially on high resistance builds, I can 100% agree with you. Definitely when fighting upscale dm level 100+ enemies. That little bit of defense makes a world of difference.
@@Titansdragon75 I even run Griffin decoction with Arachas and protective coating for damage resistance. On a side note, I tried the combo Cat school/Levity with my Metamorphosis Bombardier build. I switched Razor focus for Cat school. It gave me 30% more critical damage : Sanum/Northern Wind.. did around 12 000 critical damage each and grapeshot more than 42 000 critical damage for each bomb. But do I really need the extra damage over Razor focus (combined with greater red mutagen) adrenaline gain ? Not sure if it is worth it.
@Adrien I've switched to the same. With hen gaidth armor. Protective coating, Griffin, Arachas, Ekimmara, and Relievers for elemental defense. I'm immortal unless I put down my controller. Still able to run euphoria for big damage, and Horn of Plenty out heals my toxic damage.
Great one as always. 👍 Rage management skill can be used instead of hunters instict to use adrenaline for more hybrid approach. You know damage is too high and usually encounters end before adrenaline reaching max and hunters i. kicks in.
It always amazes me how well Phoenix knows his builds. He explains why he uses what he puts in his build and that it's easy to follow if you understand the game mechanics. I am definitely looking forward to a critical hit video. Phoenix is one of the few RUclipsrs who knows how to fully utilise Invigoration enchantment for max damage.
Thanks Rei, nice feedback to read. Invigoration is even more finicky than it used to be because you have to be very sure that you're not over the threshold for it to even be active. I'm sure I'll have a build at some point that at least showcases the mechanic, though.
Great and very well explained build as usual. It's nearly the same I was using in my last playthrough with fast metabolism. Need to try the one with delayed recovery cause didn't wanted to use it with Metamorphosis cause wanted to keep all my decoctions. Will give it a shot definitely in my next playthrough. Thanks Phoenix and keep up the good work. 👍
Thank you once again for your dedication and work for us Witcher build enjoyers ! Is it possible to see a bomb build next? Or perhaps something involving bombs as one of the primary aspects of the build. Thanks 😊
Another OP build love it, "The game isn't hard enough" is so true though, been trying to find a "True Witcher" build since the update though, one that isn't to overpowered but requires alchemy, sword and signs to be good whilst having that witcher aesthetic. I just feel like your not experiencing the full game by not having to utilise everything in your arsenal.
I was looking for the same thing and sign/sword build really fit in this case caus even if you dont invest point in alchemy you still drink potion during your contract
This is mostly the reason I use bombs and oils, I want to get into the role as much as I can. Even with the metamorphosis build already avaliable I usually only activate all my potions (minus blizzard cause it makes the boss fights trivial) when its a serious fight, like Dettlaff for example.
I used the double ability glitch to get 2 acquired tolerance. I managed to pop 6 Decoctions without taking toxicity damage (I got damage of 218% from Euphoria with it) Decoctions I used are: Ekimmara/Troll/Wyvern/Succubus/Katakan/Basilisk Edit: also don't have the full Manticore set equipped as well, I use Metabolic Control.
There it is, the ol' reliable. They really rebalanced the Euphoria build well in comparison to the other mutations and it's still extremely strong, although not as universally overpowered. This video is also a really good demonstration of how you can tune your alchemy focus to your personal preferences with every build, not just this one, by going for either Fast Metabolism with more decoctions or Delayed Recovery with more potions. I also appreciate that little addendum regarding the double ability glitch at the end of the video, I just don't see the appeal (especially now that there are so many more viable builds, as you have proven). Looking forward to your next video, you're doing great work!
It's actually very easy to test because you can see the damage difference in the menu. But yeah, I'll have it as part of a toxicity video at some point.
Just in case anyone still pops in on the comments: what about Heightened Tolerance? Obviously it’s been savagely nerfed, dropping the maximum possible threshold from 100% (75% base) to 80% (50% base (*?!?!*)). Does it have a place anywhere in the Euphoria Build, or even a build leading up to it (meaning base game all the way to level 34)? Is this discussed within any of your / his other vids about toxicity? Will look out. Thanks for the video.
You definitely wouldn't use it with Euphoria. If you're over 80% then HT is having no effect; if you're under 80% just to keep HT active, you're needing Euphoria by a large amount for very little benefit.
Probably still the best build in the game. Metamorphosis is great but 200+ sign intensity with unlimited signs from blizzard, I think, keeps euphoria at the top.
I feel silly asking this, but what is the actual synergy with Metamorphosis here? I understand that gaining (not so) random decoctions can be powerful for any build, and that selecting the best ones for most occasions (and scrapping the rest) makes sense when going with Metamorphosis. But it seems to me this build revolves arround Superior Blizzard and Delayed Recovery and some other key build choices to keep adrenaline topped up, and then some skills like Whirl and Rend to use the infinite stamina. But the actual mutation, Metamorphosis, is just the cherry on top, and it seems to me there are better cherries to make use of infinite stamina. Lackluster and nerfed on the low end of the scale is good ol' Euphoria, which at least adds more damage to your whirls and rends, and sign intensity. Does it add more than those 5 decotions? I don't know. Speaking of signs, Piercing Cold or Conductors of Magic sure could put inifinite stamina to good use. Which really begs the bigger question - why bother with stuff like Ancient Leshen decoction or even griffin techniques/gear when there is Superior Blizzard + Delayed Recovery? Isn't the latter simply the best and final solution to all and any stamina management problems, consuming the least amount of skill slots for the greatest effect and almost no opportunity cost? What could be simpler than popping four-ish potions and instantantly being god, for any build?
I don't get why manticore trousers over something like wolven or cat. 6% critical chance is pretty minuscule compared to the +30% crit proc you get from every kill from the killing spree ability. The 18% attack power is more useful in most situations
@@Cant_Hit_This7 This is incorrect. +18% base damage is very little on top of the other actually-substantial bonuses. The 6% critical hit chance boost isn't even the point of the Manticore trousers; the high resistances and additional toxicity are the selling points.
@@DPhoenix237 Just out of interest, what buffs do the grindstone and armour bench give? Is it just a flat percentage of damage / armour or does it just decrease armour / sword degradation?
Wait so delayed recovery doesn't count the decoction toxicity being over the threshold as grounds for potions to remain active? My whole build I had planned is ruined! Hahaha I appreciate the knowledge Phoenix. Top man.
Fantastic videos mate, really appreciate the reasoned explanations. Any chance you could recommend what to drop from the build for the version before you get any additional skill slots (still on my first playthrough and haven't unlocked mutations yet!)
Well, before you've got enchantments to have Levity, Cat School Techniques isn't doing anything so that'd be among the last ones to get. You could probably do without Metabolic Control before you have Euphoria, so consider that. Killing Spree would be one of the later ones to add. Fixative is useful but is more a quality of life one, and Precise Blows and Crushing Blows are less important depending on how much you value damage. So any of those imho.
@@DPhoenix237 Forgive the noob question but why no muscle memory in the build? Seems like a big damage boost for a slot, is it not enough to justify a slot?
Loving all your builds so far. Wanted to ask if you think is possible to manage the 55% potions toxicity treshold while using 2 decoctions (for the slow recovery build).
You could use Feline, but it only adds damage and little else. It has low resistances and its damage boosts aren't even any better than the Manticore critical hit boosts, and most of the time you'll be dealing critical hits.
Happy new year :D. Near every guide use Troll decoc, why no Horn of Plenty build? It´s the same reg-effect, with dumplings its even more op. Only downside is that you need one sword without Serverance. Do you think it´s worth it?
@DIS-SID I dont remember reading that they changed that; the sword enchantment doubles the length of time the healing lasts for, not the actual amount and rate of healing. So actually the enchantment isn't helping so you should go with something else.
@@DPhoenix237 With Patch 4.0, the power of the ability has been increased from 100% to 400%. The effect which this enchantment imparts makes any food item regenerate 400% more vitality when consumed. I test it out, get damaged by the guards and get tons of vitality regeneration. With Swallow potion you are at full life in a few seconds infight. You can not test it out, right?
Do you think that this euforia build with fast metabolism is easier and more fun than the metamorphosis build? I'm saying this because on the metamorphosis build you have to choose only 5 or 6 decoctions and delete all the other ones and also you have to always use the potions in the same exact order for it to work at its full potential Euforia build apparents to be so much easier, more simple and eve more fun compared to the metamorphosis build What do you think?
Idk about fun; that's kinda personal preference ngl fella! Start with the Euphoria one and see how you like it, I reckon. You can always make a manual save and respec into the Metamorphosis build if you want to try that too.
Its just so unfortunate that only Olgierd/IBF and Detlaf warrant these ultra effective builds. For everything else its just overkill. The biggest draw of Euphoria to me is the versatility: youll be great at swordplay and signs and still can build the character however you want saving the mutagen bonus slots for blue and red ones. I just love the lethal combat ( for both Geralt and his enemies) on DM. Ill try your suggestions but without severance I hate how it looks. Also I cant recommend the strongest build in the game, which is Ursine with mutated skin because its boring af lol.
Great guide! Love the fast metabolism set-up! Quick question: with 4 decoctions active wouldn’t it be better to take the 3600 extra vitality instead of the 15% damage reduction? Thanks!!
Depends on your preference. I prefer protective coating over tissue transmutation. Protective coating gives attack power as well as damage resistance with the right oil. It also helps you know your enemy type as well since you have to know your enemy type. If you use Ekimara or Ekidna decoction, you should regenerate your vitality anyway. Lower vitality will help you regenerate life easier with Ekimara.
How exactly does sunder armor work? I want to know if this is worth it over something other like strength training, rage management or even refreshment
Is fixative worth using if you have the auto-equip blade oils setting turned on? Because I thinking it might be useless so I can replace it with something else.
Tried with "Delayed Recovery" and no, not for me. Way too much maintenance to keep the potions on all the time. With "Fast Metabolism" on the other hand, I liked it very much - just pop 4 decoctions that last 30mins, and you still have space to top up various potions (due to the toxicity decreasing super fast). The damage and "lifesteal" is insanely good. But I'm still taking too much damage for my liking. I'll see what changes I can make to tank a little bit more.
Great videos! I come from Hungary, unfortunately there are no such people there, unfortunately few people deal with video production. I'm also using a translation program to try to translate the English subtitle into Hungarian, but it's terribly bad at it. So, because there is no such thing as a beginner or lower level, for example lvl 35 level, how to do what skill in the times before the 2 dlc! Unfortunately, I'm not a pro at this game, although I would be. I read about it, but I don't understand it, so I just copy the videos and construction plans. How do you know so much, how do I learn about, for example, how things are paired, what is the partner of what. Here I am thinking about skill - signs etc...?
Hiya, if you watch my Death March walkthrough it has some recommendations for early skills that are still good. Not all of them still apply, but most do. Like using Griffin School Techniques with the starting armour, stuff like that. I mostly build up my knowledge from reading existing things that people had found but also mainly thinking about things and testing them myself. I also just found quite a few techniques and combinations that people just hadn't really thought of trying or putting together
Thank you very much for your help and answer. I am now lvl 33 before the first playthrough of the base game. Now a kind of sign and sword in a Hybrid Wolf set! I'm just now looking at whether I should go for the 2 dlcs with jel piercing cold or euphoria epitménny! I really like the Yrden Aard band, I like piercing cold.
Euphoria… reminds me the old times… But well, Is it just me, or you feel the same, but the game seems to be easier now in terms of fighting (monsters and humans ) - maybe due to rebalance all skills and builds after update? Anyway I will stick to the metamorphosis build as I liked it more after enjoying your hybrid build. And I am still using the viper chest not ursine… Well a question at the end: this 55% toxicity must be from potions only not decoctions, because it is different toxicity, correct? And with my gear I have to use 5 potions to get over the 55%limit…Well I will wait for your mechanic video and maybe will finally decide which decoctions to be dropped… cheers!!
Yep, Delayed Recovery only takes into account Potion toxicity, not Decoction toxicity. And yes, the game is definitely a little too easy after the update. Still immensely fun, though!
I'm playing through on death march with your guide from before the patch. I have more skill points now due to the nerf, do you think heightened tolerance for leveling up is still a good investment?
Yeah it's fine for using early-game; it doesn't matter too much which skill you pick from the first alchemy roe other than Acquired Tolerance. The rest are just filler; you don't use them in the final build and only put the points in there to reach the later skills.
@Dji.Drone.Serbia except that didn't exist when this video was made. Also, it's boring and the game is too easy anyway; having to know which oils are for which monsters is at least interesting and requires knowledge, sort of like a Witcher.
Hey phoenix, please do you have any idea why Blizzard disappear when using the delayed recovery alternative ? All potions stays, just this one seems to disappear
@Phoenix237 I've been messing around with it a bit. Still tweaking it, but running it with Euphoria and defense decoctions (griffin/arachas/troll/ekimmara) closer to a tank/immortal vamp than a regen/healing one but it's working. No potions needed. I know with your knowledge of builds, you could probably fine tune it a little better.
Hello! I love your videos but I'm having trouble with this build. I seem to be stuck at 220 max toxicity; I'm not sure how to achieve the extra nine. The only thing I can think of is that I'm missing some formulae, but at 0.5 toxicity per formula that implies I am missing 18 which seems like quite a lot. I certainly haven't seen a formula as a random drop in many hours! Is there something else I might be missing to get me to 229 toxicity?
@pipoca9065 No, definitely not when playing normally. It might not even be possible with the Double Ability glitch now; I can't remember the maths off the top of my head. Check out my Alchemy Almanac video, I probably cover it there.
Is time supposed to be slowed when riding roach out of combat with superior blizzard active and I just have to clear my potions whenever I want to traverse on horse? Or is that just a glitch since I'm not in danger
How do You do that: Delayed Overhead Strong Attack🤔?. I've been Playing this Game from the Start, over 400h PS4, PC, and now PS5 Combined, and don't know lol.
I have a mod that auto applies oils for me (for convenience because imo having to apply oils mid combat breaks the pacing/flow of the game) so fixative is pretty much useless. What would you recommend instead of it?
@@eldetpacko7401 I don't think they directly increase the damage of Rend or Whirl, but you can pair the red skill with a Greater Red mutagen for an extra 15% damage, and they boost your basic strikes (obviously).
@@DPhoenix237yeah but they could've just adjusted, instead of rendering the thing useless XD well actually euphoria isn't quite useless after the nerfing, from what i understood piercing cold got the hardest nerf and is now useless
The problem w saying metamorphosis is better than euphoria is your leaving out the fact that you also bump your sign intensity up 160% as well as your damage. Metamorphosis isn’t nearly as strong. It’s just not. It does less damage and doesn’t help your sign intensity at all which is part of why it’s so busted. Crazy sign strength w no investment on top of all that damage.
The sign intensity boost from Euphoria isn't even that relevant. If you're using a sign build then one of the other mutations is better, and if you're not using a sign build then 160% isn't that noticeable. It barely affects Aard, Quen, Axii or Yrden at all and the Igni damage is nothing special compared to an actual sign build. Euphoria is still good, but a proper Metamorphosis build is better overall.
@@DPhoenix237 Hm I just read this comment after asking which build you think is best euphoria or metamorphosis. Do you still believe metamorphosis is better given a few months of time to think about it?
@kylerBD I already knew all the mechanics before they patched it. It's how I knee to make the best builds immediately after the patch dropped. This original comment was irrelevant logic which is why I never responded to it. 160% sign intensity makes virtually no difference; calling it 'buster's laughable. Euphoria gives a bit of extra damage, a largely irrelevant sign intensity buff, and you lose out on a couple of actually-useful decoction buffs. The DR versions are the best versions of both builds, so you only have 1 decoction max with the Euphoria version, so you lose at least 3 of Arachas, AL, Chort and Ekimmara. So losing approx 10+% true damage resistances, stamina buffs in short fights, knockdown resistance vs some strong enemies, or a large chunk of healing....all to gain a small damage buff. Use whichever you want. Why not just make a manual save and try both builds? It's not difficult.
You must be missing some of the alchemy recipes. Buy or find the missing ones; you need all of them from the fame plus both DLCs to hit 229. You could be a few short and still 225, obviously.
i am lvl 53, i have not enchanted armor yet and max toxicity level is like 205...what's the problem? i'm trying the second version(delayed recovery one) and i'm from ps4, can someone help me?
You're probably missing a lot of alchemy recipes. Acquired Tolerance raises the toxicity based on how many recipes you've found. Try looting more things across the map, or buying them from the Perfumery guy in Toussaint.
I love his presentation and variety. I try not to put down other RUclipsrs, and I just focus on mine usually. Mine are the best builds imo, and I try to make them as optimised and interesting as possible.
@@DPhoenix237 But which one do you think is the best? It seems to me this euphoria build of yours is still better than metamorphosis. Metamorphosis looks better with signs but euphoria sword dmg seems better. So which do you think is best? Or are they tied in your eyes?
@@DPhoenix237 Also I heard you can sell your decoctions to Hugo Monnart and them buy them back. Havent tested that myself but its worth a shot to check out!
@@kylerBD more or less tied, I think the Metamorphosis one is better on balance. Use the Euphoria one if you want more damage...just like I said in the video.
Guys, how to hit maximum toxicity to 229? I can only get to 214 with full Legendary Manticore set and Metabolic Control. Captain please help. Explain to me like a 5 year old.
So the bottom line is Delayed Recovery is more potions and less (or one) decoction and Fast Metabolism is more decoctions, less potions. Either way, excellent breakdown and I'll be excited to give the Delayed Recovery one a try.
@stefansibbes2440 It is meant to work with any toxicity. I bet you're just looking at it outside of combat, when the Euphoria boost doesn't show up. As soon as you go into combat it'll activate. It always works with decoctions and always has, and this video was made on the PS4 version.
Personally I don't think so. They're both extremely strong and use the same core mechanics (especially both Delayed Recovery versions). The damage from Euphoria is good, but lower than it used to be. The sign intensity is largely irrelevant. If you're using the method of dropping decoctions so that Metamorphosis only chosses certain ones, I'd say that 5 or 6 key decoctions are more valuable and useful than a little bit of pure damage. They're both similar, extremely strong builds imo.
@@DPhoenix237 yes I agree, plus ultimately both builds handle enemies very easy. It’s just really fun being able to cast signs basically unlimitedly with the metamorphosis build
@@DPhoenix237 also, I’m currently not willing to drop to decoctions. Would you still say the metamorphosis is more powerful considering all decoctions are available to me versus the 5-6 most powerful?
@danielbattle7620 You can cast infinitely with the Delayed Recovery version of this one too tbf. If not dropping decoctions then maybe the Euphoria one is a little more consistent.
@@danielbattle7620 i droped the decoctions, didnt really wanted to bc if a really need one i will need to do all ng+ but it was worth it, the build with just the good ones is really op
Why would you run delayed recovery. It wony count with dec. So run8ng 4 of them your never reaching 55 with potions. Also why add fast metabolism with delayed recovery. The two would not work well together.
@aidenplays4296 Did you even watch the video? The Delayed Recovery and Fast Metabolism builds are shown as two separate versions of the build independent from each other.
@DPhoenix237 yeah sorry I'm dumb lol. But still I say don't even use delayed recovery. I personally just go with hiegtend tolerance that puts my 74 ish then pump potions. If you really want that other 25 precent then don't do fast metabolism either. I personally do then can shove more potions But fast metabolism you will never really rate any toxic dmg still. But your still getting that 25 just for a sec. But then you can rum all the potions. And superior potions normal last the battle. But really depends on how high your tox max is I suppose. Sense what max is over 300 now you could run 4 doc and still ununder 80
f'n finally someone explained properly that the Water Hag decoc and Invigorate runeword wont work when u taking toxicity dot, and Hightened Tolerance is moot when your going beyond 80% toxicity, everytime i see a newly Euphoria build vid out there and asked why and they cant answer, also for decocs Ekimmara and Troll is a must, the other 2 will be on your own preference, Arachas for more defense, Succubus for more damage, Ancient Leshen for stamina, Chort for shit n giggles! so far this is the most corrective and informative Euphoria Next-Gen build vid out there! well done mate!
Seriously on point well said
But I don't understand why he didn't use heightened tolerance?
I'm confused
Delayed recovery wpuldnt be doing anything for you. Only works for potions. So 4 dec your never reaching 55. Also why add fast metabolism with delayed recovery
On my 3rd run after a very long hiatus and this is just the vid I need. I do recall Euphoria type builds as being verrrrry good.
If you want to run the set up with 2 pc manticore or haven't discovered all formula's jet you can choose to use the basselik decotion as 4th one which cost 40 toxicity instead of 50. Like the set up at 12:00
Great video again phoenix good job
True. Watching builds for a month now. You are the only one that actually knows whats going on. Good to have you! Thanks for your vids.
Thank you, I'm glad you enjoy them
Been going through all your build guides, and they're so good, definitely the best I've come across 🙏🏾
Thanks man, really appreciate nice feedback like that 👍
I also think that delayed recovery is the best skill especially at boss fights.
Yeah it's godlike in this version.
Top 3 strongest builds right now (in my opinion) :
I played in death March upscaling but with mods as it is too easy without. So I added Enemies of Rivia and Dynamic enemies mods to make enemies much stronger.
All the builds use Acquired Tolerance, Synergy, and Delayed Recovery.
1-Metamorphosis Bombardier :
4 red skills (Whirl, Rend, Resolve, Razor focus)
10 green skills ( Acquired Tolerance, Synergy, Delayed Recovery, Hunter Instinct, Killing Spree, Protective coating, Pyrotechnics, Efficiency, Cluster Bombs, Tissue Transmutation)
2 yellows skills (In Combat's Fires, Heavy Artillery)
Equipment : Manticore trousers, Manticore boots, Nilfguardian Gauntlets and either Manticor armor or Manticore silver sword (switch to Aerondight if you prefer), Hjalmar Steel sword is also very nice for the 199% critical damage.
2- Second Life Wizard:
Immortal wizard with Undying, Acquired Tolerance, Synergy, and Delayed Recovery. All Griffin set with Entanglement,
4 Green skills : Acquired Tolerance, Synergy, protective coating, Delayed Recovery put around mutation
3 red skills : Rend, Whirl, Undying
2 yellow skills : Rage management, Griffin School technique
7 Blue skills : all yrden column and all aard column except shockwave
Edit : would like to bring some details about Second Life Wizard and why I rate it as high.
3-Warrior Euphoria :
Same build than daemonphoenix237. Very powerful but classic meta from 1.32
Well both of the mods are no longer working after Next gen upgrade anymore..........
@@patrickwinkelmann4002 They are they have been updated. Look for immersive combat mod and /or in the posts sections of the said mods.
Brilliant! Thanks for sharing Adrien. What do you use as your enchantment for your chest armor?
@@room.beer.controller3032 Some tips if you use Metamorphosis build :
-remove from your inventory useless decoctions and keep only the 6-10 strongest ones : Ekidna, Ekimmara, Arachas, Griffin, Succubus, Doppler, Troll, Nightwraith, Ancient Leshen
Nightwraith decoction is overlooked by everyone.
-You could also optimize the build with (L) Grandmaster Ursine chest armor and Manticore trouser, Manticore boots, Nilfguardian guantlet and then
you can use Manticore Silver sword and Hjalmar Steel Sword or Iris or Toussaint Knight Steel... the goal is to have 3 sets of Manticore set.
That's some interesting stuff, I love it! I've been messing around with a bomb build and they're pretty freaking strong.
Great build man, you are the king of Witcher 3 builds.
Thanks man, glad you like it.
We have made it full circle! Another great vid Phoenix
Thank you, glad you liked it!
We have been waiting for this one!!! ❤
Excellent as always. Definitely going to use this for Death March playthrough.
You are not taking into account the critical damage boosts from the manticore set pieces.
Crit dmg it's far more valuable than attack damage.
Great one as always. 👍
Rage management skill can be used instead of hunters instict to use adrenaline for more hybrid approach.
@Phoenix237 Thanks, Phoenix. Appreciate the effort you put into your videos.
He did it again. Just a matter of time
Great and very well explained build as usual.
Thanks 😊
I'm experimenting with bombs. They're fun and strong, but it's just that I don't like meditating so often.
Another great job. Could you make a build maximizing the new Forgotten Wolven set? I would like to see how one could optimize it.
I may do; it's a jack-of-all-trades set so is good with many builds but difficult to optimise fully.
after I tried the metamorphosis build, I just can't see myself going back to euphoria anymore T.T it's too good
I love that Metamorphosis build.
I found it was too damn good that I chose to take some sign abilities to nerf it a little and give it flavour
Where is that build?
Este chico merece un reconocimiento por mantenerse en continuo aprendizaje de nuevas mecánicas y puntajes en este juego. Un saludo bro. ☢️
No hablo Espanol; gracias hermano 😊
I managed to pop 6 Decoctions without taking toxicity damage (I got damage of 218% from Euphoria with it)
Decoctions I used are:
Ekimmara/Troll/Wyvern/Succubus/Katakan/Basilisk
Edit: also don't have the full Manticore set equipped as well, I use Metabolic Control.
@@Itsjerms Fair and balanced.
Thanks very much, really appreciate that feedback 😀
Damn, I always use the Water Hag Decoction in my Euphoria Alchemy Combat Build. I would love to see your testing.
It's actually very easy to test because you can see the damage difference in the menu. But yeah, I'll have it as part of a toxicity video at some point.
Any chance we could get a progression video for this? Like your old walk-through, but updated for either this build or your Metamorphosis build.
Yeah I'm planning on doing so soonish.
@@DPhoenix237 Really keen for this too, showing the order in which to acquire skills
Sorry, wrong video - this comment was meant for the Metamorphosis build.
Would it be fine to use Manticore chest with fast metabolism? I thought delayed recovery only worked with potion toxicity not decoctions
You should do the best Witcher build for NO DLC, so we can get strong enough to get this build.
I may do at some point. I'm debating redoing my DM walkthrough.
@@DPhoenix237 😁
I don't get why manticore trousers over something like wolven or cat. 6% critical chance is pretty minuscule compared to the +30% crit proc you get from every kill from the killing spree ability. The 18% attack power is more useful in most situations
@@Cant_Hit_This7 This is incorrect. +18% base damage is very little on top of the other actually-substantial bonuses. The 6% critical hit chance boost isn't even the point of the Manticore trousers; the high resistances and additional toxicity are the selling points.
fantastic breakdown and details. extremely helpful. thanks Phoenix237
Nice work fella. 👍
Thanks Kabba, much appreciated.
@@DPhoenix237 Just out of interest, what buffs do the grindstone and armour bench give? Is it just a flat percentage of damage / armour or does it just decrease armour / sword degradation?
Never mind, I just looked it up. Apparently it's 20% to damage and armour.
Wait so delayed recovery doesn't count the decoction toxicity being over the threshold as grounds for potions to remain active? My whole build I had planned is ruined! Hahaha I appreciate the knowledge Phoenix. Top man.
You're welcome. And yeah Delayed Recovery is potion toxicity only; otherwise you'd just use it on every build ever, ha.
@@DPhoenix237 Really appreciate the reply and the explanation mate
@@DPhoenix237 Forgive the noob question but why no muscle memory in the build? Seems like a big damage boost for a slot, is it not enough to justify a slot?
Loving all your builds so far.
Wanted to ask if you think is possible to manage the 55% potions toxicity treshold while using 2 decoctions (for the slow recovery build).
No, just one. Check out my Alchemy Almanac video, I cover all the options there.
@@DPhoenix237 I'll check right now
Which build in this video is better? 😊
I prefer the Delayed Recovery one. It depends on your preferred tbh.
Can you make a similar build with the feline cat set too or is the armor set up you have the most efficent:).?
You could use Feline, but it only adds damage and little else. It has low resistances and its damage boosts aren't even any better than the Manticore critical hit boosts, and most of the time you'll be dealing critical hits.
Happy new year :D.
Near every guide use Troll decoc, why no Horn of Plenty build? It´s the same reg-effect, with dumplings its even more op. Only downside is that you need one sword without Serverance. Do you think it´s worth it?
@DIS-SID Happy New Year! Try it, see what you think. I never get Horn of Plenty because it's such little healing.
@@DPhoenix237 thx, in next gen its the only good food now :D .. and i believethat dumplings bump it to 20x5 but i don´t show this on the stats screen
@DIS-SID I dont remember reading that they changed that; the sword enchantment doubles the length of time the healing lasts for, not the actual amount and rate of healing. So actually the enchantment isn't helping so you should go with something else.
@@DPhoenix237
With Patch 4.0, the power of the ability has been increased from 100% to 400%. The effect which this enchantment imparts makes any food item regenerate 400% more vitality when consumed.
I test it out, get damaged by the guards and get tons of vitality regeneration. With Swallow potion you are at full life in a few seconds infight.
You can not test it out, right?
With this exact build I still fall short of the 229 toxicity reaching only 228....
You're missing some alchemy recipes so AT isn't adding the maximum toxicity possible.
Yup. Found it haha. Thanks
I have mostly blue traits for the aard axii the shield too but I want to have those attacks I just don’t know how I can have all that I want
Do you think that this euforia build with fast metabolism is easier and more fun than the metamorphosis build?
I'm saying this because on the metamorphosis build you have to choose only 5 or 6 decoctions and delete all the other ones and also you have to always use the potions in the same exact order for it to work at its full potential
Euforia build apparents to be so much easier, more simple and eve more fun compared to the metamorphosis build
What do you think?
Always prefer damage resistance over vitality.
Because the ekimmara heal is absolute and therefore in relation more with less vitality! ;)
How exactly does sunder armor work? I want to know if this is worth it over something other like strength training, rage management or even refreshment
Is fixative worth using if you have the auto-equip blade oils setting turned on? Because I thinking it might be useless so I can replace it with something else.
@@isahaniff1455 Yeah replace it if you're using Auto-oils.
Thanks for responding.
Love your videos!
Can I make this build work without the manticore gear?
Yeah easily; use the same gear as my Metamorphosis build.
Is that using the Ursine version? It's relatively tanky with that.
@@DPhoenix237 no, all manticore with nilfgaardian gauntlets, aerondight and toussaint knights steel sword. Will try the ursine, thanks
@tiagodvt Try it with the Ursine chest, and as Arachas decoction is one of the decocfions make sure your inventory is as empty as possible.
nice one
Tbh I would prefer a Hen Geidth steel sword for burning, bleeding and critical damage!
Euphoria… reminds me the old times…
But well, Is it just me, or you feel the same, but the game seems to be easier now in terms of fighting (monsters and humans ) - maybe due to rebalance all skills and builds after update?
I think deleayed recovery is OP
@@sayantanmanna001 I think you're correct.
He could just enable auto apply oils in gameplay options menu.
@Dji.Drone.Serbia except that didn't exist when this video was made.
Also, it's boring and the game is too easy anyway; having to know which oils are for which monsters is at least interesting and requires knowledge, sort of like a Witcher.
@@DPhoenix237 Oh,ok 👍
Idk why i cant see those skills menu the characters of mutation 😢
Mutations are unlocked during the Blood and Wine expansion.
Hey phoenix, please do you have any idea why Blizzard disappear when using the delayed recovery alternative ? All potions stays, just this one seems to disappear
Yeah it's just a bug, Blizzard dissappears if you speak to someone or a cutscene plays IIRC. Gotta meditate and pile on the potions again.
looks great wil lgive this a go for fun but i dont think anything compares with metamorphisis right now it makes death march with upscaling easy mode
Yeah it's pretty wild.
Is there any chance we'll see a new Tesha Mutna/ Hen Gaidth vampire build ?
Possibly, although that's one that a lot of the parts of that original build are trickier to make work post-patch. But yes, potentially.
Have you been to Toussaint yet for Blood and Wine? There are about 19 recipes specific to that region (18 mutagen converter ones, and Shaelmaar Bait).
@@DPhoenix237its not possible to reach 300 max toxicity now?
@pipoca9065 No, definitely not when playing normally. It might not even be possible with the Double Ability glitch now; I can't remember the maths off the top of my head. Check out my Alchemy Almanac video, I probably cover it there.
Is time supposed to be slowed when riding roach out of combat with superior blizzard active and I just have to clear my potions whenever I want to traverse on horse? Or is that just a glitch since I'm not in danger
Has to be a bug. I always clear my potions after combat though because of this and Geralt's ugly ass vein face.
Yeah seems to be a bug/quirk.
How do You do that: Delayed Overhead Strong Attack🤔?. I've been Playing this Game from the Start, over 400h PS4, PC, and now PS5 Combined, and don't know lol.
It's the Rend skill.
@@DPhoenix237 Thanks a Bunch!!!😃👍👌👏🙏
I have a mod that auto applies oils for me (for convenience because imo having to apply oils mid combat breaks the pacing/flow of the game) so fixative is pretty much useless. What would you recommend instead of it?
Sunder Armour, Undying, either of the basic fast or strong attack skills. Even Magic Trap if you want to deal with projectiles more easily.
@@DPhoenix237 the basic attack skills don't affect rend or whirl, right?
@@eldetpacko7401 I don't think they directly increase the damage of Rend or Whirl, but you can pair the red skill with a Greater Red mutagen for an extra 15% damage, and they boost your basic strikes (obviously).

@@YemadeTaylorfamous that was added later on by a patch. It wasn't a vanilla setting 9 months ago
why did they nerf the toxicity thou, now even with all the DLC added formulae, i can only get to 184 toxicity cap
They nerfed it because Euphoria was stupid.
It's not difficult.
you can drop bad Decoctions to keep only 5-7 good ones.
I know...I explained that in my Metamorphosis build video weeks ago 😁
i’m running 3 piece manticore with metabolic control and hitting 222 toxicity. what am i missing
You must be missing some of the alchemy recipes. Buy or find the missing ones; you need all of them from the fame plus both DLCs to hit 229. You could be a few short and still 225, obviously.
Phoenix237, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for this amazing build. You rock dude! So if you had to pick only one build which would it be?
You're welcome, and thank you.
i am lvl 53, i have not enchanted armor yet and max toxicity level is like 205...what's the problem? i'm trying the second version(delayed recovery one) and i'm from ps4, can someone help me?
You're probably missing a lot of alchemy recipes. Acquired Tolerance raises the toxicity based on how many recipes you've found. Try looting more things across the map, or buying them from the Perfumery guy in Toussaint.
@@DPhoenix237 got it, thx 4 your help dude❤️
Why'd you only get 137 % extra dmg, the equivalent to 183 toxicity if you got 3 decoctions plus 2 potions on you (200 toxicity?
Euphoria's boost is 0.5% per alchemy formula that is known, now.
Haha, this I like 😅👍
There's a Witcher build video made by some kid named nozza. Your video is so much better. He has no idea.
I love his presentation and variety. I try not to put down other RUclipsrs, and I just focus on mine usually.
Mine are the best builds imo, and I try to make them as optimised and interesting as possible.
Is this the best build you ever made?
I was watching your euphoria build I'm confused now
The previous Euphrois build was before patch 4.0. Either this one or my Metamorphosis build are the best build in 4.0.
You must be missing some alchemy recipes, so either find them by exploring, or buy them from the Perfumery merchant in Toussaint.
@@DPhoenix237 Aye aye captain.
Why did this immediately set off the Spongebob theme song in my head? Ha
woooooo
Woot woot!
Delayed recovery doesn’t work for me! Any tips?
Watch my Alchemy Almanac video; I go through its mechanics in that.
So the bottom line is Delayed Recovery is more potions and less (or one) decoction and Fast Metabolism is more decoctions, less potions.
Either way, excellent breakdown and I'll be excited to give the Delayed Recovery one a try.
Euphoria no longer works with decoctions.
Of course it does. You can see at 7:35 that the Euphoria boost is already active with the decoctions.
@@DPhoenix237 not for me it doesnt. It rarely triggers so its still bugged. I play on ps4.
@@DPhoenix237 I dont think it was ever meant to work with decoctions.
@stefansibbes2440 It is meant to work with any toxicity. I bet you're just looking at it outside of combat, when the Euphoria boost doesn't show up. As soon as you go into combat it'll activate. It always works with decoctions and always has, and this video was made on the PS4 version.
how do you reach 229 toxicity? im at 213 atm.
Best game ever...
It's a masterpiece, no doubt.
why with the exact same gear and skill tree i'm only 171 toxicity
You need to learn all the alchemy recipes (or buy them from the perfumery in Toussaint).
Even with the most powerful build, you CANNOT kill guards at all, just knock them down lol
How do you have that yellow glow each time you attack
I hadn't noticed it before tbh. I think it's probably the Severance enchantment but I'm not absolutely sure.
11:41 hahahahahaha as someone with over 2k hours on witcher 3 i can very well understand the pain of watching poorly made build videos ,))
So they nerfed it into the ground, but its still busted?
Still strong, not as busted.
It does not work the same way in death march...
This is all Death March footage, so....yeah it does.
@@DPhoenix237 Your iteam aren't legenday one so it isen't the same !
@@luissimpson4940 That's nothing to do with the difficulty. The Legendary is the New Game Plus versions.
@@DPhoenix237 Toxicity hits differently in NG+
@luissimpson4940 No it doesn't. Toxicity is identical in New Gane Plus, other than having to relearn 4 or 5 story-related formulas.
It's not next gen right
Is this build stronger than metamorphosis build?
Alchemy in this game is so broken dude 🤣 I love it
Yeah, strongest tree imho. The others are strong and it's a bit better balanced post-patch.
@@DPhoenix237 I remember when they released the mutations back on the old gen version, Euphoria was insane.
I personally do then can shove more potions
But fast metabolism you will never really rate any toxic dmg still. But your still getting that 25 just for a sec. But then you can rum all the potions. And superior potions normal last the battle. But really depends on how high your tox max is I suppose. Sense what max is over 300 now you could run 4 doc and still ununder 80
Hi man, if you got the time please check Reddit. Thx
I messaged you a build idea hope you can look it over 🙏🏻
100k one hit well this is broke lol :D
