I had visited the Tower in 1981 and it was a highlight of my time in England. Wish I could go back some day and see it again. Thank you for sharing these videos with us.
The boys just get better and better. Lots of historical substance here but its not dull. The pacing and delivery is broadcast quality. From what I can tell these are two regular blokes who tour blighty and makes these videos out of love in their spare time. I hope in time their contribution to our knowledge of their beloved country becomes commensurate with the quality of their productions. Unsung now, but Churchill himself was ignored for decades before the deluge. KBO chaps
Haha we travel the world too not just Blighty in fact we are in Puglia Italy as I write doing our latest travel series. Thanks for the great feedback as ever!
@@MemorySeekers I love Puglia. I'm so jealous. Have an apparatif overlooking the valley for me. There is an american art school there for summer students. Moght be cool to check out and spread the word. I always wanted to do that. Retirement list I guess.
I'm headed to the Tower today and watched about 6 different videos. Yours is the most detailed! No one else shared about Tudor Green and some of the other spots. Thanks!
Tower of London my favorite tourist place. Great history you did. I heard it's haunted also. Great walk you did also. Can't wait to see more tomorrow have a great day 😀
@@MemorySeekers when I was at the tower of London back in the 1994 I saw a ghost there of a man dressed in 14th century clothing. He was not an actor he disappeared in front of me smiling. I was freaked out at the time and so was my grandmother who saw the ghost also. But I will never forget that time I was there. LOL 😀 and also I went back to England again years later and saw another ghost of a man dressed in an old army uniform in winchester cathedral. He smiled also at me and disappeared. Have you ever encountered any ghosts in England? Let me know. It's very interesting 🤔
Substance! Excellent production quality and your drone footage is spectacular! That was really interesting and you hold the shots just the perfect amount of time, no fast, annoying split second views. Thank you!!
Hope you have a great day. Book online before you go save queuing up! I would think it will be quite busy again now. Give yourself at least half a day to visit. Lots to see!
Ive been a few times and its so crazy to think that your standing on the same spots that some of the greatest in Englands history as happened upon! Its also been so beautifully well kept. 😊 Im lucky to live only a train ride away!
History is so interesting. We are supposed to be able to learn from it but I don't think it happens. Love this vlog it is excellent in content and presentation. Thank you once again. =-)
Fantastic video, I’m a 31 year old Lieutenant for the Royal Logistics Core, and would love the chance to become part of the tower family when I retire. Your video’s are always very good to watch.
You are chosen my friend. A sort of “who you know” sort of thing. Your name, if you really wanted the chance, would be passed on to go on a list then if you show your an asset to the forces and really care, hopefully you are chosen but it’s a rare opportunity ha ha.
Love your videos. Anne Boleyn didn't enter through Traitors Gate though. It was a myth spread by warders l think. The scaffold was set up in front of the White Tower not where the monument is. Your video was still very enjoyable.
never knew the Tower of London had Raven's thank you for sharing your video also have Ravens myself one is called Craven the other is called Angel they are not caged they come in by themselves call by name they love peanuts apples and mince I love them very much angel has one leg and stay around the house🏚 ❤💫🌹sitting amongst our roses they're extremely smart 🐦
My ancestor, Sir Isaac Pennington, Lord Mayor of London and Lieutenant of the Tower was condemned to spend the rest of his life imprisoned there for refusing to sign the death warrant for King Charles I. Is there more info about this available if I go there?
People in the United States couldn't handle all of the history and London in England they can't handle a statue in front of the White House I myself would love to see London and and roam around and see all there is to see
What? I understand English isn't your first language, but what you're saying makes no sense. Americans couldn't handle the history ,"of" England? Then you bring up a statue, I assume you mean Americans wouldn't like the idolization of tyrannous historical people, but that has nothing to do with understanding. If you actually got into English history, you'd find out that monarchism has had quite a bit of opposition in England. Most wouldn't think so, because monarchies are glamourized, especially in kids films, so we think of them as being loved by all, when they weren't.
Shame that history remembers William the conqueror as the founder/creator of the tower of London yet clearly never laid his hands in a tool In his life 🤣
@Jack Collins...such it is with every King, Queen, Emperor, etc. It’s always the poor man/woman that does all the work and the rich man/woman that gets all the credit for it. 😩
Oh Billy or Chris please control your foul old Ron and stop praising Krishna in that chapel it’s supposed to be Christian. Take it how you want. Simony don’t come for free. Leave it to real royal soldiers to fight your wars as General Sir Mike Jackson retired said it’s a young man’s game. If you read this say a prayer in St George’s Chapel for me, an Our Father of our sacred places sort of thing would be nice. Happy history teaching. Remember written by winners.
It annoys me how this covid crap is embedded in videos like this. It makes everything classless… I now want to look for a video that was made before covid.
I’m getting that Goosebumps vibes. “A Night in Terror Tower”
I had visited the Tower in 1981 and it was a highlight of my time in England. Wish I could go back some day and see it again. Thank you for sharing these videos with us.
Hope you make it back, glad you liked it.
I'd love to visit there. I recently discovered that quite a few of my ancestors came from England. One of them was Thomas Wyatt.

Wow! Looking forward to our tour here in June 2023. Thanks.
Oh have fun a great place to visit.
Another great video. The Tower has changed a lot since I last visited in 1987. I love the animal statues in the grounds.
Yes I think it has, the last time i visited was on a school trip. It was so lovely to visit with so few visitors and really see it!
Really good video, I have never been, and didn’t realise there is so much to see.
You go sometime!
Great video guys. You've inspired me to make my first trip to the tower!
Fantastic thanks for the feedback Craig! Hope you make it there soon.

Einfach herrlich!!! Es war ein schöner interessanter Rundgang.
Thank you
I have done alot of research on the Tudors. They were actually very much like if not worse than the mafia
They still are.

It could well be haunted I am sure it is a creepy but thrilling place to be at night!

The workmanship on the armour and the etching is stunning considering the tools they had to work with. =-)

We cannot take credit for the drone shots, we obtained them from another source for perspective. Thanks for watching.
Such a fun and informative video! I've never been inside, only walked around the outside.
Great video. So excited for our visit on December 8. I'm British but I've never been in the Tower 💂🏻🇬🇧

I had a dream about this place last night and I had never heard anything of the place.
Well now you have! I wonder what triggered the dream?

Hello Jordan, thanks for watching our videos. Hope you are able to make that happen one day. What would be the process to be able to apply?

I have been there was a play about Ann Boleyn on the garden. They have historical clothes. It was a real life.I was very lucky.
Sounds like you were lucky to be there that day! How fun!
This video Is pretty good👍
Thanks
Greatttttt♡♡♡♡♡♡
i didn't know half the stuff in this video . and i have done hundreds of guards here . retired welsh guards .

He said “skelingtons”. Yes he did 😂
I did! 😂
I'd rather go and see this than London dungeons

I am afraid I cannot say but if you email the tower I am sure they can guide you on this. info@hrp.org.uk
❤👍🏻
this is a really good video, but one thing the music in the background is too loud and it makes it harder to listen to the commentator.
Thank you for the feedback, one of our older videos I think we better understand the volume in our newer videos this year. 😊

is the Lions Gate still there
Tranks for triste video
The White Tower was built from 1078 to 1098. King William I died in 1087. Are you certain he got to live in it?
So you can’t go inside most of the buildings?
You can go in many of the buildings, but when we filmed some were still closed due to the pandemic. Check out the website for what is now open.
All is great with your videos but the soundtrack is extraordinarily unnecessary, dramatic and loud. Please stop the soundtracks.
