Great video! I literally thought about the gimbal lock issue yesterday while I was filming smh. You can move your files from the Pocket 3 to your phone using the usb c cable as well. That’s something most people are not talking about. It’s quicker than downloading them through the DJI mimo app.

Fantastic video!!!! What made it so great! It wasn’t unnecessarily long, as you mentioned you didn’t go over the unimportant specs that the majority of casual users don’t care about. If you want the specs look on the DJI website or watch the million of other RUclipsrs that just regurgitate the same stuff about sensor size, fps, resolution etc. You also mentioned real/practical cons. RUclips and social media has way too many RUclipsrs that are paid off or trying to get paid. Therefore there’s no originality, or true reviews. Keep it up, automatic like and subscribe from me.

I don’t understand why, to me, a user with five years of experience using cameras in this series, you are trying to explain that this is an obviously necessary thing. During the entire period of operation I did not need this! Only for photos I turn on the FPV mode and high gimbal speed. For video, this means turning off stabilization, which makes the video completely unwatchable.

Thanks to the efforts of marketers, there may have been an opinion that a smartphone can be a good camera.
This is partly true, but only according to the scenario they imposed - aimlessly filming whatever and wherever.
But as soon as you have some real task, the smartphone most likely will not cope.
And that’s why I don’t shoot videos on a smartphone.
Yes, indeed, a smartphone is a thing that is always at hand and I also shoot something insignificant, momentary, with it, but not the most important thing.
Some events are best filmed, of course, with a special camera.
I won't talk about photos here. A static picture does not evoke any emotions in me and I use it only for technical purposes.
From the last two-week tour I brought 160GB of video and not a single photo. I don't see the point if the video is 60 photos per second with sound.
And since I mentioned traveling, this is precisely the most important task - to save as much as possible for memories of places that you may never visit again.
And here you can object, “I film my travels on a smartphone. What are you talking about here?!”
And I will ask you a number of counter questions.
      1. Do you watch your footage on the big screen?
      2. How often do you review your footage?
      3. Do you have backup copies of the footage?
And if your answer to YOURSELF to even one question is “no” or unclear, then most likely you are playing what marketers have imposed on you, and I call it “playing the photographer.”
The essence of the game, like yard football, is to run and yell. Also, filming on a smartphone - the result is not important, just performing some meaningless action in society as a ritual.
After all, if you don’t watch on the big screen, then you don’t want to enjoy what you shot.
If you don’t review what you shot, then you’re not interested in what you shot or what you saw.
If you don't make backup copies, you may accidentally lose everything you shot, which means it has no value to you.
      Then why were you filming?!
I'll tell you why I'm filming.
It so happened that I was able to see the filming in which I took part only a few years later. And while watching, I got the feeling that I was there again, and I remembered what I was thinking about then, what my mood was.
It was like magic for me that a CRT TV and video cassette could do this. But there is no photo!
However, when viewing old material, I want to see more details and better quality. After all, I’m already used to modern things.
This is where the requirements for the camera come from.
Now we have the opportunity to watch videos on a big screen. And you most likely again have misconceptions about it. It is important what part of the field of view is the screen. After all, if you have a large diagonal, but at a large viewing distance, this is pointless.
There is a certain balance in which 4K can provide a high-quality image in a third of the field of view. The larger the screen, the stronger the immersion effect - it's as if you are there again.
And on such a screen, any shaking is perceived very unpleasantly. That’s why I asked, “Are you reviewing what you shot on the big screen?” Smartphones do not yet provide the necessary stabilization, and you will find it unpleasant to watch on a large screen.
And in the future there will be even bigger screens!
Let's return to one of the brightest and most eventful events in life - travel.
The smartphone is very inconvenient to use when recording video. After all, you hold it with three fingers, and you need to control it with your second hand.
Surely someone now wants to object, but due to the fact that it is really inconvenient to shoot with a smartphone, such an ugly phenomenon as vertical video has appeared.
People are so uncomfortable shooting horizontally that they completely forget that there are no display tools for vertical video.
TVs, projectors, AR glasses, everything has horizontal screens. And when you display vertical video on them, only a third is used.
And then what is the point of the big screen using only a third?!
And here you will want to remind about the monopod. Sorry, but this is no longer the thing in your pocket. You need to carry the monopod somewhere, and assemble this structure every time you need to remove something.
But there are cameras the size of a monopod that take better pictures than a smartphone.
But no, you still want to shoot with your smartphone.
Due to the fact that the smartphone is poorly fixed in the hand, it can be easily dropped.
Again someone wants to object - “I’m not like that!”
Then who are these people whose smartphones are caught by divers in packs in their videos here?
However, in a country with a different climate and in a relaxed state, there are other risks of losing your smartphone.
They can steal it, you can lose it yourself, it can be easily dropped and broken.
Are you sure you want to wave your smartphone in another country?
After all, in case of loss, all the footage will be lost, there will be no access to important services, and you will spend a lot of time restoring the functionality of the new smartphone.
And not to mention that it is expensive!
Maybe I should use a special camera for filming?
Or do you carry a spare, configured smartphone with you? It's weird, oh well
From personal experience, I noticed that when traveling, mostly
