If they didn't include the context of a high centre of gravity, then the meaning of low centre of gravity wouldn't be inferred well. A statistic like "1 percent of serious crashes involve rolling yet account for a third of death" is horrifying plus paired with crash tests makes it convincing. You underestimate the power of a story. If you're that hyper sensitive to time just use a youtube playback extension to speed up the video, you could easily watch this video more than twice as fast.
I have saw an accident where a man got ejected by a role over. He flew up and then when he went down, his legs was stuck to the rolling car. When the car rolled, he followed like a rag doll. Still shivers when i think about it sometime.
Having worked in the automotive industry for 35 years as an engineer here are a couple of facts: - SUVs do not roll over with ease as stated in the video, if you bought one in the last 20 years they have systems both electronic and mechanical to prevent roll overs, the industry standard "elk or moose test" shown in the video where a vehicle is violently steered in one direction then immediately in the other in an S type manoeuvre at between 70-80kph is standard testing procedure which requires a pass, depending on who did the test, the vehicle manufacturer, independent body, National Highway Traffic Safety Administration etc who is driving the vehicle, what is the road surface being used, what are the weather conditions, fuel load etc all have an impact on the test results so comparison between tests very difficult, test standards are also different around the world. - The Tesla rollover test footage in the video is not a "real world" test, you will notice the model X rolls over into soft sand how often would you take your X into sand dunes? had the surface been a "normal" road the vehicle would not have rolled back onto its wheels as the wheels would have contacted the hard road surface and prevented roll back, the position of the battery pack will not allow rollback the physics will not work. Phew thats 20mins of my life I wont get back dammit
As an actual tech I call b.s. kiddo.. SUV are high center of grav and all proven to roll over for many years now. Ever worked on one? Its just a pickup bud its in same frame n everything. Lol.

It's so sad I can't. The poor guy didn't deserve to die, but I have a theory that the car may have developed its own brain, since cars don't suddenly roll over like that!
Electric cars actually have a way lower chance of catching fire than internal combustion cars, and the statistics prove it. Battery puncture fires are usually relatively slow and controlled, spitting out fire from only the damaged batteries while the others slowly cook. It's mostly the cleanup that's hard, because without proper care, an electric vehicles batteries could burn one by one for days. Gas cars literally rely on explosions to operate, which is why they catch fire way more frequently than you might think. And ever seen a gas tank explode? Now that's a big boom.
@@nooffence7670 They don’t literally explode (usually, but it’s not like it’s never happened), but they do catch on fire rather frequently. Regardless of our personal thoughts on the matter, studies from Tesla, governments, and insurance agencies have shows EV’s (particularly Teslas since they’re the most common) are way less likely to catch fire than combustion vehicles. About 11 times less likely. If anyone would know, it’s probably insurance agencies.
@@joelmulder I'm going to say like your previous post it's bullshit and since when have government ,insurance ,Tesla been agencies you can trust I'd say their less honest than you and that's no way a compliment go and pull apart a AAA size battery made of lithium and report back

Wow it really took 3 minutes to explain it has a huge battery mounted low enough to give it a much lower center of gravity?
LOL first they had to spend 2.5 minutes telling us what everybody already knows about SUV handling and safety.
I'm sure this could have been presented in an interesting manner . . .
@@valerierodger7700 Its great for persons like me who have zero to no knowledge of cars. Coukd have been more to the point but it was still an alright video
atleast its not like 10 minutes lol
For Watchtime
If they didn't include the context of a high centre of gravity, then the meaning of low centre of gravity wouldn't be inferred well. A statistic like "1 percent of serious crashes involve rolling yet account for a third of death" is horrifying plus paired with crash tests makes it convincing. You underestimate the power of a story. If you're that hyper sensitive to time just use a youtube playback extension to speed up the video, you could easily watch this video more than twice as fast.
When a large portion of its weight (the battery) is basically at axel level, crazy things happen.

Having worked in the automotive industry for 35 years as an engineer here are a couple of facts:
- SUVs do not roll over with ease as stated in the video, if you bought one in the last 20 years they have systems both electronic and mechanical to prevent roll overs, the industry standard "elk or moose test" shown in the video where a vehicle is violently steered in one direction then immediately in the other in an S type manoeuvre at between 70-80kph is standard testing procedure which requires a pass, depending on who did the test, the vehicle manufacturer, independent body, National Highway Traffic Safety Administration etc who is driving the vehicle, what is the road surface being used, what are the weather conditions, fuel load etc all have an impact on the test results so comparison between tests very difficult, test standards are also different around the world.
Ok so what cars have the highest rollover rates?

Just wait for battery puncture then you'll see a perfect score ;) With passenger barbecue included.
I just wrote the same and then found your comment no one has talked about that yet
@@joelmulder no I've never seen a gas tank go boom they burn rather slowly cause they are starved for oxygen
@@joelmulder I'm going to say like your previous post it's bullshit and since when have government ,insurance ,Tesla been agencies you can trust I'd say their less honest than you and that's no way a compliment go and pull apart a AAA size battery made of lithium and report back
Make sure you have "full replacement value" insurance for the car! My friend had an accident (not his fault even) one year after he bought the car. The insurance only offered him about half the actual value of the car, far less than it would cost to buy a replacement. It took him thousands of dollars in legal fees and two years time to take them to court.

its more of a flex to have a perfect crash score than to go from 0kmph - 100kmph in like 7 seconds
Ikr
The model x can do that in under 3
How much of a flex is it to have your car combust in the driveway
No it can’t
@@PakuTheMagnificent biggest flex is that in my country you're not legally required to help people in a crashed tesla cause a crashed tesla can shock you when you try to open it's door.
(we have laws that require citizens to help others in dangerous situations like crashes, as ling as it doesn't endanger themselves)
By “Perfect Crash Test” it means that Tesla is the only one that can crash perfectly.
🤣🤣🤣
¶ No because the location of words say an entirely different thing, if English first or second language I recommend you don't try and decipher a hidden meaning within the title of a trivial video. For example: given the circumstances you don't know how to read, you're stupid
If I were to change the words you to i, it would change the entire point of the point made by the original.
This video first states the name of the car, so its talking about the car. Not the likelihood of failure
