  • I lock out an HEI distributor (big cam cars do not seem to work well with HEI advance mechanisms) to test a cut out issue on our blow through turbo carburetor SBC in our 1980 Trans Am (unfortunately even after ruling out the ignition system as the culprit the cut out still exist, more testing to come).

    Thanks for the shout out. So, it looks like you're narrowing it down to possibly a fuel issue. Hopefully you get it figured out soon so you can get back to racing 👍

      Some stuff should be here Friday so I can accurately check the fuel pressure.

    The data log should show the afr when the issue happens. As mentioned it could be a fluctuation in fuel pressure or flow.

      Wideband shows 11.5 when it does it. Fuel pressure is set correctly and rises with boost as it should. I took the vent bowl extensions off today, and oddly, it ain't cutting out no more

    Oh the ls distributor is in front of engine like ford
