The Boeing 777X is an incredible machine. Being Boeing's newest jet, it features the latest and greatest innovations that Boeing has to offer. But up to this point, we've largely only seen what it can offer on the outside - it's composite wings, foldable winglets, massive engines, and stretched fuselage.
But at this year's Paris Airshow, Boeing gave me a guided tour of their brand new 777X cabin mockup. And the number of innovations is staggering. So, come along as I show you what you'll experience aboard the 777X when its certified in 2025.
#boeing #777 #777x
Hey Folks, if you liked this video & want to see more content like it, be sure to subscribe! Got more great stuff on the way that you won't want to miss ;)
I love it!!!!! :)
Has anyone ever boarded a plane and thought “Wow, I really wish there were RGB lights” … I think Boeing has some more important things to focus on lol
You Forget to ask what PRICE TAG on 777X
Around 400 Million U$D
Never know it’s boeing 🤣 🤣 🤣
Make sure you check the bolts for me. Thanks bud
'really bring the outside into the boeing cabin' ... well that's aged well
🤣🤣🤣
This new design will blow the doors off the competition!
Step aside, 777X! The 737 MAX has all the attention now
"Connected to the sky"
Maybe Boeing will offer "outdoor seating on future models!
I do hope that they have proper quality control of these planes
Right now if it's Boeing, I ain't going.
One would think they learned their lesson after the fatalities with the Max a few years ago, no matter how interesting the B777X looks, I just can't trust them at this point.
Bolts missing, doors off, extra view cost extra
nope gots to get planes in the air for profits
I'd say they have, especially now that the FAA has also been stricter since the 737 max. The first accidents was new software issues that Boeing didn't handle properly, which now is fixed and approved.
The latest issue regarding the plug door is still under investigation and that only is a problem on a specific type of the 737 with a special configuration.
And no major problems from other Boeing planes, only the 737 max. And only a few of the 737 max.
Still a concern but only for a small concentrated type of Boeing planes.
“Bring the outside in”. Not sure that was the best choice of phrase considering recent events.

You're humour is brill, lol!
This plane is going to blow the doors off the competition
😮
Yeah ok
😂
Nah you cant make that joke😂
You can guarantee that 😅😅
No bolts like the max 😅😅😅
So... they made the cabin a gaming pc case with epic RGB. Thrilling.
And only for the price of millions of dollars…😂
Being a RETIRED 30 year Boeing I worked on the first 1,500 aircraft and doing the interior fitment. Folks JUST REMEMBER that all those beautiful interior ideas will heavily depend what the airline that buys the aircraft has. The thing is the airline makes a choice of the interior as they purchase and provide to Boeing the carpets, seats, galleys, and various other modules and Boing provides the stowage bins, sidewalls with windows and lavs. I don't want to pop to many balloons it is the Arline that makes a choices of the interior.
As a retired Boeing engineer of 50 YEARS - You are WRONG WRONG WONG. The Aircraft design is set and airliners can configure what they want within the parameters of the maker. TUT
@@jakezxz1352far be it from me to argue with a supposed Boeing engineer, but I have first hand experience with what he’s talking about. I first rode in an Airbus A380 on an Emirates flight. It was such an amazing experience even in economy that for our honeymoon, my wife and I specifically looked to ride in an Airbus A380 again. We rode Air France this time, and holy shit, it was like night and day. Air France’s A380’s interior just looked like one of those crappy regional airlines with crappy uncomfortable seats, and was surprisingly cramped given the size of the airplane.
Facts. Airlines decide what they want to offer to passengers. I’ve flown on so many planes and airlines and always seen and experienced differences. Designs and services are unique to each airline.
@@jakezxz1352 Yeah but that's exactly what he said. Boeing sets the parameters, like bins, walls, galleys, and space allocation. The airline still gets to pick the carpets, seats, there's like a couple dozen seat makers in the world, the infotainments, and some other features. What he said was right, as a 50 year experienced Boeing engineer, you were very confidently wrong.
Yes, I understand that many Asian airlines are looking at 16.4” seats allowing 12 abreast seating!
The interiors are so much like outside! When the doors start flying off and you really see the northern lights outside, you can’t tell the difference
LOL
"Such a stunning and compelling way to bring the outside in"
And since it's a Boeing, the doors fly off magically so before you know it you'll be able to experience the outside naturally.
And the missing bolts will now be visible on the interior for that thrilling experience
Oh gee these jokes r annoying asf…. Simple just don’t fly on Boeing products. 😢😢😢😢 same tired internet asswipe opinionated trolls😮😮😮😮😮
Yes. Bring the outside in is not new for Boeing.
😂
Nah, this time they're using Gorilla glue 😁
The woman giving you the tour of the 777X cabin was amazing―well-spoken, informative, and evidently enthusiastic about her work. With all the problems and criticism (understandably so) Boeing's been facing, I really hope the 777X will be able to redeem them!
You're making way too many assumptions.
@@hughjanus7354what assumption did she make
it is called the "fake american way" , 1) use fancy words, 2) fake smile all the time and pretend to be nice.. is pretty basic
@@fabricciodominic7473why are u being such a negative bitch just enjoy the damn plane
Narrator: In fact, the 777x would NOT be able to redeem them.
I love that you're wearing an Airbus A350 badge string. 😂
The cabin looks amazing! Can’t wait to see what different airlines are going to use for their lighting with all the unique combinations!
I do think that it will be really cool when they first get the planes, but I feel like most flight attendants will most likely just keep it at some neutral color like they do with the current Boeing sky interior seen on new 737's, 747-8i and 787's
@@egheltzerThe reality is with the high density cabins and the number of FAs per pax….and the length of time it takes to get through service…people are already annoyed and just want the lights to be turned off asap.
There are some who have managed to criticize that. XD! Two actually got lost
Sadly, this exists with current planes and most airlines do a shit job with mood lighting. I was on Singapore a350 business and no mood lighting. Qatar is better in that regard
I bet they'll use open door lighting
”Connected to the skies”. Yes , you’ll definitely be connected to the skies in a Boeing Aircraft.
Oooooof
Hahahaha
Too many references to AS1282
Before they let paying passengers fly on this aircraft, they should have an extensive test flight programme and have Boeing board members, senior executives, their penny pinching accountants and their quality assurance people fly on test flights. That would incentivise Boeing to deliver an aircraft that is totally safe unlike the 737 Max death trap.
It isn’t? They made 1 mistake.
theres 777x test flights everyday
tell him @@rx7sp
@@southafricancarlover8666 I think they meant all Boeing planes. This isn't the first time Boeing grounded their 737 MAX. They made maaany mistakes.
@rx7sp yes, but are execs and board of directors strapped in?
For some reason I really enjoy the way she says "bin assist mechanism" 3:50 its so rhythmic 🤔😂 but I also love how proud she is saying it!
Saw it during the Paris air show in the 2023 summer it was totally incredible!
Very curious about the folding winglets. This video is mainly about the extra space they gained, but in order to add that space while still letting the plane fit into the same airports that supported previous gen 777's, they created the folding mechanism. Pilots will need to unfold the end of each wing after leaving the gate and prior to takeoff, and then fold up after landing as you leave the runway. Hopefully they won't create any unintended consequences.
Most likely, it will receive a "Takeoff Config" warning when the engines are brought up to power. A T.O. CFG warning requires an immediate abort.
As for landing... well, that's what for checklists are for.
The wings ate bigger to make them more efficient, not to support a larger fuselage. I doubt the fuselage is larger
The folding wing tips are an aerodynamic aid. Not a critical flight system. IE they do not contribute to the lift the wing generates enough to cause an issue. They are there to basically help the turbulent flow of air from the wing mix with the air the aircraft is passing through, to reduce drag.
If the pilots were to accidentally take off with the wing tips still folded up, the only penalty will be fuel burn.
Think of them as winglets. Most modern aircraft can fly with or without them. Some even on occasion fly with one missing. Its not a safety concern, just a financial one as the plane will be a smidge more "draggy" and thus use more fuel to get to where it's going
They retract automatically after landing below a certain speed (50kts I think).
If throttles are advanced to TOGA without them deployed, a warning is triggered.
@@bmused55 they don’t ever fly with one missing. If one winglet is damaged, they have to replace it or remove the opposing winglet, which also means that critical lights aren’t present.
On the split scimitars on the 737, they will remove the bottom strakes if one is damaged.
this is sooooo good. can't wait for more videos on this channel
Great first video! Cant wait for the 777x
Oh! I loved this review! Thank you for giving us a view that most won't get to see for a few years
Great job Coby on this tour! Hopefully Air Canada orders the 777X some time in the future
Fancy coffin
Thanks for the video.
You did a great job interacting with Bren and she did a great job of explaining the features of the new 777X cabin. Flying on a 777X should be a excellent experience.
So true! That will be the last thing you experience! What a thrill to be on
Loving your interviews with the Boeing and Airbus executives. You really don’t miss a beat and your knowledge and facts of their products seems to even impress them. Really great job. I’m a new fan!
Having flown on one for a flight test, they r absolutely amazing.
“Really bring the outside in the cabin” 😂 yeah rapid de-pressurization of the door falling apart
0:34 Boeing "It's just not quite ready for passengers yet!"
lmao
I really love the approach of the immersive windows, last time I flew one of these it almost felt like you're being sucked into the surrounding sky
This looks amazing!! Especially the ambient lighting.
Interesting design, the gas and air system sounds impressive but I wish to know how much difference does it compare with current 777-300ER. Would also want to see how the bins will look with crew rest compartment above. Would also be interesting to have a look at things like seatbelt signs, reading lights and call bell buttons. Currently in economy of most airline, the call bell button is shared with 3-4 passengers and cannot be turned off by pressing it physically. Would also be nice to see a wider variety of seats on demo in the mock up like the A350 mock up from the other video.
first video on the new channel is up to a great start!
Woah, awesome. Can't wait to fly over the pond in one of these!
Great information. I look forward to the roll out. Kept me entertained.
Check the door bolts.
Hope its better built then the max
What a beautiful beautiful aircraft! I hope this takes hold on popularity, the same way, the 747 did in the 1970s.
i’m just starting my aviation career now, but goodness I hope these beautiful things are more reliable and good than the max. i would love to fly one of these one day
Brena could market anything to me and I would buy it. Her product knowledge and delivery of features on the 777x is expert level! This was an awesome review.
not stepping on a boeing until they get their shit together
You and me both! Airbus for now for me
i totally agree. An extra 4 inches adds so many new positions!
Coby, This is the video that no one else has done (or at least I have not seen) which answers alot of questions of why it is taking so long to get the 777X certified and because of that I subscribed. Please keep coming with videos like this for both Boeing and Airbus. I would like to see an indepth review of the Boeing plug door issue after more information comes to light. Thanks.
Boeing needs more people like your host! Amazing spokesperson. Summer 2025 I believe Lufthansa gets the first??
The big question is, can boeing build it's well engineered planes properly?
cant wait to see this beautiful bird fly!
Waiting all day for this!!!
I don't know if I would have used the phrase "bring the outside in" but other than that presentation pretty good.
Hahaha that’s when the panels fall off, great view then hahahaha
This was recorded long before the latest MAX debacle.
@@mrvwbug4423funny coincidence tho
I can’t wait to fly on one!
Those square clunky overhead lockers are so retro. Reminds me of the early airbus or tristars.
The lightning looks so good!
Wow, look at that crazy long cabin! It’s not surprising considering that it’ll be the longest passenger jet ever! That said, it’s not longer than the 747-8I’s cabin because the the 777X’s cabin doesn’t extend into the nose despite the latter being longer than the former. That is if they don’t build the proposed 777-10X which would be even longer still. Let’s just say I feel sorry for anyone who books the very last row seats, that’s just brutal. I was on a 767-400ER along with the A330-300 and their cabins felt like they went on forever, yet the length of 777X puts the length of 767 and A330 to absolute shame!
Over 3/4 of a football field long, the longest of all passenger planes.
no Boeing 'shames' an Airbus
@@ant2312 Both Airbus and Boeing have their pros and cons, but I was comparing individual planes regardless of what company makes them.
It's gonna be cram packed with seats like every other airline...
Yeah, I was not encouraged. Those seats look pretty uncomfortable
0.4 inches wider seats
Is like looking at concept cars. Fact vs fiction
Unless of course you lay down 7-10$ k for a first class seat.
Excellent video showcasing this magnificent aircraft! We are all excited to fly on this thing.... The woman giving the tour was seriously talented and is wonderful at her job...!
Are we though?
@@Design_no I would think that Boeing will be inspecting and double, triple checking their planes across the board so that they are not hit with anymore bad press... As well as Airbus..

You were right first time.
Good luck with this new channel! I'll certainly be watching every video :D
Liked and subscribed, please keep doing videos exactly like this! Was great mate
Damn. It really looks great in there. This should be able to feature a much more comfortable 10-abreast seating configuration than on the old crammed 777s. Boeing seems to haven taken features from both the older 777s and the 787s as well as new technology and made a stunning cabin.
It's still 17 inch seatings on a 14 hours flight.
@@charlesn787no 17.2'' to 18'' like she sais
Except 11 abreast with 16-16.5in seating is going to be the norm.
@@mrvwbug4423 11-abreast is not offered on the 777X either. On the other hand, Airbus offers 10-abreast on the A350 sardine config.

Wow Boeing discovered concave overhead bins and smart led lightning. Groundbreaking
Got to see the plane parked at our Guam airport today!!!! Guess its doing its test flight back to Seattle from Hyderabad, India
Is there "open air" door plugs on this Boeing model too?
Costs need to be cut, even if quality & safety are sacrificed.
Boeing executives need to keep getting huge pay packages, after all.
Yeah but do the doors stay shut?

I love the 3rd generation of the 777 the -9 is my favourite variant with dimming windows specced 👍
I love the fact you are wearing a Airbus A350 neck thingy
It's crazy how the 737-MAX fallout has permeated into their entire lineup.
The 777X looks amazing!
“We have immersive lighting scenes to let the outdoors in” Boeing are ahead of their game, with the Alaska 737-9 they could bring that feature here 😂
Nice night scene viewed from the massive hole, truly brings the outdoors in
You would think they'd want to keep the inside out.
Yes, great presentation, almost had me convinced it’s a safe plane, no mention about the screen doors…
18 inch seats in 10 abreast economy will be great for passengers on long haul. the width of the cabin is crazy and those higher up and larger windows look cool. the 777-300er is already a fantastic aircraft so I imagine airlines and passengers will likely fall in love and in line for these. the -8 is now seeming like a great ULH aircraft as well.
Boeing: How about these lights?
Airline: No thanks, we'll just take the fluorescents.
i am the 777th view 😅😂
Interior looks like a nice bus! Change a few diapers in mid-flight, rattle a few bolts loose, and it'll fit right in with all the others!
lOOKS A FINE AIRCRAFT, HAS IT GOT ALL ITS BOLTS?
Don’t forget to tighten those bolts
You can definitely be in touch with the ourside in a modern Boeing aircraft.
im so excited for the color grade that must have been so tricky to navigate.
Can't wait, its my dream to fly one, business class.
If they secure the folding wings like they do the doors, I’m taking a hard pass on this plane for a while.
Bolts are ok…nuts…not so sure.
Haha
Won’t catch me on it
Hahahaha they will fall off

Falling wing folds (or whatever) is not much of a problem as compared to falling doors
*Hopefully, no hidden shady features and loose bolts. Boeings specialty. 😒*
Yippee!!!! Concave bins and curved ceiling panels!!!! My flying experience will be so much more comfortable and relaxing.
The cabin mockup demos are always too good to be true. I remember being impressed at the mockups for the 787 but when airlines put them into service, it looks like another typical airplane cabin.
Also, I remember airlines hating the dimmable window feature because it didn’t work well in very bright sunlight and they ended up retrofitting window shades.
Did you make sure that the doors or window panels don't blow off the plane? Did you also make sure the plane doesn't do an uncontrolled nose dive shortly after takeoff? Since it's Boeing so it's hard to tell
It's pretty but how hard will those lights be to deal with for maintenance crews?
Likely the same as all the other Boeings and Airbus with similar setups already that have been flying for about a decade.
LEDs needs far less maintenance than traditional incandescent lighting.
@@bmused55 yes but these have a lot more LEDs because they're being used for decoration. How much wiring is behind those star panels? How much of a headache will it be to hold up that panel while getting the connector installed?
Looks incredible
Excellent presentation!
Did they tighten all the bolts ?
777...your Stairway to Heaven...
Nice video. Considering getting my very own 777X!
Glad to see the window position being adjusted. Maybe I'm just too tall, but whenever I'm on something like a 737, I find I have to crane my neck to get a good view. Too bad about the electronic windows though. Why even have them if they're going to be locked on blackout mode all flight?
looks good hopefully all the doors stay on
There are no plug doors on 777s. There are no plug doors on any widebody planes. I’m guessing you didn’t know that?
@@FlyByWire1 They still have….doors…and folding wings…and software.
@@stephenlight647 the issue was a plug door, that is something completely different from an operational door. Do I have to explain that difference to you?
@@FlyByWire1 bolts were loose on the door plug, if it was a door, it would've "escaped" the plane a few flights earlier. Also missing washers on the Indian airlines' rudders. Who knows what other problems the 737 Max had. Also on the 777X specifically, its fuselage FAILED the ultimate load test, but the FAA let it past (without conducting physical destructive test again) after Boeing made some changes and promised the FAA that the new design will pass the test. So no, I would not fly on a 737 Max nor the 777X for a long time.
Well said
